This is my favorite restaurant in my neighborhood. Ive been looking for a good soul food spot forever, so Im glad I finally found Xcellent Soul Food. The food is flavorful and seasoned perfectly, the portions are healthy and the prices are reasonable. The staff is also very polite and knowledgeable of the menu/specials. The only flaw is the delivery minimum. I agree that it should be $10-$15.

I wish they hire a management team, because they have a great cook (which is the key if the owner doesnt know that) and people talking and neck rolling around the food, while RAY-RAY Bags up Bud in the back and UNCLE WILLIE THE WINE-O sit in the front with the brown bag waiting for 1 RIB SMH ...... come on son yall killing me, Food Popping Tho just "Pray over it 1st"

Serivce was horrible. Ghetto girls talking over the food to other staff members. They was not polite at all not greet or nothing like they didnt want to be there.. They are also lazy to deliver phone will ring out and by the time they pick up they say they no deliveries. I wish there was more option of restaurants in this area! Service sucks! Need better management

After waiting for what seemed like forever....I finally got to taste the shrimp which tasted like it was cooked in old oil and the fish needed to be seasoned better. Less salt. The Mac & cheese was ok. The yams were the best that they had to offer. I wasnt satisfied and I wont be going back. A new cook with new flavor is needed.

Quality of food served has dimished drastically.. Recently I thought I would splurge on oxtails, I got a 75% mix beef neck bones to 25% oxtails. Cabbage was greasy and over cooked.. Ill stick with the fried chicken and desserts

the food seemed to be over cooked and the cashier we had was rude trying to take our order while texting on the phone. Which we had to repeat the order to her several times but the food was ok nothing to write home about
