I will begin by saying I have been a fan of this place since they bought Twin Kiss Ice Cream Shop. I have recommended this place to friends. On Friday, Sep 9, 2016 around 5pm, we went here for dinner. I ordered the Chili - it was terrible. I wish I took a pic. It looked and tasted like it was old, from a can or out of refrigerator, then microwaved, because it was extremely hot. I pushed it to the center of the table. The main issue really was the waitress and manager walked past our table many times looked directly at our table but did not stop and ask, "Is everything ok?". I was never asked, would you like something else? Both manager (or owner) and waitress just walked past us. We finished eating and waited for the bill. we probably waited 15 minutes and just stood up to get somebodys attention that worked there. The manager came over and asked if we were waiting on the bill. Yes - we were and we told him how bad the chili was. The waitress finally came over, took the chili bowl, and stated "well somedays its good and somedays its not". I replied - today it is not good. They took the 5.99 off the bill. Was a shame to get crappy food and service from Texas Ribs, all over a 5.99 bowl of chili should never been served to me that night. If that is the chili they serve, they should remove it from the menu - I told them that also.

I rarely leave reviews and even more rare do I leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to do so in this case. Ive driven by this place for almost two years and ha d always been curious to see what the food was like. I ordered the pulled chicken BBQ to take home for dinner. On the way home I figured I would try a couple of bites. Opening the container, I immediately noticed there was no hint whatsoever of any BBQ color...the chicken was all solid white. There was an extremely strong smoke smell...really so strong it smells like fake liquid smoke. Anyway, after trying the BBQ, all I can say is that it very well could not only be the worst BBQ Ive ever eaten, but the worst food Ive ever eaten. I realize everyone has their own style of making BBQ, but this didnt resemble anything Ive ever eaten...not even close. Sad to say, but I obviously wont be stopping here anymore, nor will any of my trucker friends who are on this route. Staff was plenty nice...my issue was solely with the food. Sorry :(

lets say the service is not to good when the employee doesnt even know the special. which i had to ask if it was a sandwich as the board was different from the paper. the paper said brisket burnt end sandwich and the board says burnt ends and 1side. so i asked and she says its a platter. i said what the paper said she no its a platter. i asked if i could order it on the otherside of restaurant that they advertised.. she gives me a attitude and checks the paper and oh hey the customer was right it was a sandwich. i proceed to order 2 sands and mac n cheese. 28 mins later my sands arrive for takeout.. the burnt ends tasted like and looked like little pieces of pork not burnt brisket ends with fat at all. was awful would never recommend this place to anyone.

Stopped in for lunch on 8/2/13. While looking at the menu (which contains all the items a BBQ seeker looks for) the owner came over to me and we chatted. I was impressed with what he was saying when it came to food quality and how they cook/smoke it. I had a beef brisket sandwich which was excellent. He then brought out a sample of the pulled pork for me to try. It was so good I bought a pound to go for meals and sandwiches at home. Then had a cup of their home made ice cream which was also superb. I recommend this restaurant highly and will return.

I smelled smoke when I pulled up. The menu said smoked ribs. But when I got the ribs I didnt really taste any smoke flavor. Plus they didnt even have that smoke color. The ribs were cooked well. Fall off the bone and a good amount of pull. Very moist too. The bbq sauce was about the only flavor I recognized from the only state that fought for its independence. Everything I had was good but those ribs just lacked that Smokey flavor. Its almost as if they were cooked in an oven...

I have been n Texes ribs numerous times yes Anna rocks but the owner was very disrespectful I ordered 1/2 slab of ribs a couple times half of those were real dry .first time I said nothing second time I did .I talked to owner and he just tryed to argue with me .Im not like that b along time before I go back n that place. .

I had the brisket sandwich. It was delicious and so was the tequila hot sauce, but the sauce is really hot. Pro tip: mix the hot sauce with the sweet sauce. The cole slaw was as good as moms, and the can of coke was as cold as it could be. I will definitely be going back. Great food, good price.

Excellent brisket, sliced a little thicker than I prefer, but it really doesnt matter because its SO tender! The "hot" BBQ sauce is tasty, however, the "sweet" BBQ sauce tasted like maple syrup. Good slaw and potato salad. Definitely stop here if you need a BBQ fix!

Im more of a Memphis style bbq man myself, but this place is good. The pork sandwich is large, which you pay for. They do the fried pickles wrong, but at least have a good sauce to dip them in. I want to come back and try the ribs to really grade their bbq.

had the Texas double decker topped with pulled pork. it was delicious and the bbq beans were full of flavor and their homemade soft served ice cream is really good too. the fries were good, but had a lot of salt for my liking.

Yuck. Sold me overpriced smoked ribs and chicken with no seasoning, no sauce, and little containers they call sides. I will never eat here again. No smoked flavor on the food, I can do better in my own backyard. Really terrible

Our waitress was amazing Id give her 5 stars but the food was blah. My brisket had raw nasty looking meat on it and the pulled pork was dry. If your gonna pay $30 for 2 adults and child just go to Famous Daves in Waldorf...

Stopped on the way home in the middle of a few hour drive. Good, polite service. I had a burger, husband had brisket. Both were great and the beer was good and cold, ice crystals suspended in it!
