Stopped in for grouper sandwiches. Nice selection. The sandwiches, however, were a disappointment. Bland, store bought bread was soggy by the time our orders were served. Le Matin bakery is across the street and produces wonderful breads. Perhaps a partnership could be arranged? The fish had nice texture, but was otherwise bland and called for spices. No spices were available on the table and packaged "Krafts" tartar sauce (yuck!) was served instead of a store-made version. Ironically, the store stocks an interesting variety of seafood spices and condiments. It would make sense to market those items by inviting dine-in customers to sample them on their orders. We have high hopes for the success of this long awaited neighborhood business and offer these observations with only the best of intentions.

The "eyes" have it. Without a doubt, the freshest fish around. No restaurant nor market can lay claim to this fact. Whether taking your fresh selection home or enjoying lunch on the premises, one will defintely enjoy Mikes market.
