Our visit on May 20, 2016: When we arrived to the restaurant we were asked for our phone number and was told it would be 15 minutes, we gave the hostess our number and she repeated it back to us correctly, 15 minutes had passed and we gave them the benefit of the doubt because they were busy. As we were waiting, we noticed that 2 couples that came in after us were getting seated. After noticing, I went up to the hostess station and asked how much longer it would be since we were told 15 minutes and it had now been 30 minutes, the hostess asked for our name and I told her and she said "oh isnt your number ##########?" I stated no, she had mixed up the area code, no big deal people make mistakes. She apologized and seated us immediately! Once seated, we waited 15 minutes for a drink order and finally a server greeted us and took our order for drinks! When she took our drink order, we ordered an appetizer. We waited and waited for our drinks. After sitting for 30 minutes, a manager came up and asked how we were doing and we explained that the experience had not been the best and that we still had no drinks and needed another thing of silverware (only one set was on the table and there were two of us). Once we explained, she stated she would check on our drinks and appetizer and bring another thing of silverware to our table. After another 10 minutes of waiting we finally received our drinks. Another 10 minutes went by and we still didnt have our appetizer, the manager came back by (no silverware still) and asked if we had received our appetizer. We told her no, and she said that she would go check on it and apologized. She stated that she would make sure to take it off our bill. We thanked her and a few minutes later we had our appetizer. Our server then took our dinner order and 40 minutes later we received it along with my silverware (I had to ask 3 times for). The food was great! We then ordered desert and waited another 20 minutes. We put in an order for 2 desserts to go. We finally received our bill and to go order after waiting another 20 minutes and noticed the appetizer was still on the bill!!!! At this point, we were very frustrated and decided to just pay the bill. Our bill was $120 something dollars! I dont mind paying for quality food and service, however, I was very frustrated with the whole experience!! We paid the bill and by the time we got into our car to drive 40 minutes home, we noticed we had been in the restaurant for 3 hours!!!! I dont know about you, but I think 3 hours is a bit excessive considering it was only a party of two! Food was great but service was terrible!

Ive gone to Applebees and recieved better service than Amos gave my son and I. Having been served by him before I can say he was probably just having a bad today. However the managements lack of floor presence was VERY DISAPPOINTING. We ordered the cheese stick app. That came out hot and promptly. I ran out of Lemonade about 5 after ordering my lunch/dinner. I ordered a Po Boy and my son order gumbo and mash potatos (i know awful combo). My sons gumbo came out about 8 mins after the rest of the table recieved their cooked to order food. I waited in all 25 mins for a refill on my lemonade for which I was not charged but eating my cold salty horrible excuse for a Po boy sandwich was uncomfortable to say the least, without anything to help it down. My sons gumbo although not cooked to order, came out a full 8 mins later than the rest of the food. TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY IT WAS COLD. He literally ate 2 bites and left the whole bowl sitting there. I ate the shrimp out of my sandwich none of the cold fries and none of the horrible bread. (I have had this sandwich the bread is not usually as hard or stale tasting). Amos asked if my son and I needed to go boxes, to which my son replied "nothing good enough to eat here, let alone take home and reheat", as his pointed to his full bowl and my picked over sandwich and untouched fries. Amos didnt go get a manager or ask if there was anything he could do. Even with all of the mishaps, I dont blame Amos, I blame his manager. To run a restuarant of this caliber and price point and people not never see your face once the entire visit is sloppy management, in my opinion. This visit will probably make me think twice before visiting, again.

We ate here New Years eve for the first time. We had reservations but that turned out to be useless as we were seated about 35 minutes later. Note to restaurant: Keep one table open for reservations at all times. The food was good but not worth the exorbitant prices they charge. I had the catfish and shrimp which was good but not worth $29. The catfish seemed a bit mushy to me as well. We shared a salad that was very good but was not included with the meal. My wife had a salmon dish with sauce and bits of crab meat with a side of tasty grits. It was very good. The baked potato was not included and we paid $3 extra for this. I decided to get the banana pudding because it looked good when it was served to others with a cookie perched on the edge of the glass and a strawberry on top. It was good but not worth $7.00. It was kind of mushy and the cookie was wafer thin and tasteless. It was no better than a Frischs desert. I heard and advertisement for Pappadeaux Seafood on WLW700 today. In the ad they mentioned that they buy their seafood directly from fishermen thereby cutting out the middleman. And they cut out the middle man why? Evidently its to rake in a hefty profit because the customer is left to foot a bill for a high price meal that could be gotten for much less at Red Lobster. We will probably not go back and the pricing is going to be the main reason for this. Its just obscene and not any better than Red Lobster. Red Lobster has call ahead seating which works better than the reservations do here.

Ive dined here several times, the food quality is consistently very good. However, one slow Tuesday night a few years back, I ate alone at the bar. The bar-TWIT thought she was working at T.G.I.F. (maybe she had a drug problem?) and began tossing / flipping and dropping liquor bottles Like Tom Cruise in "Cocktail". Then another bar-TWIT joined her at the far end of the bar and they were now throwing the GLASS bottles more than 20 FEET back & forth as I sipped my wine & ate my fish. After a few dropped bottles on the rubber mats I suggested they tone it down and asked the TWIT if I had somehow requested this freak-show?. She replied that "mgt. encourages the staff to flourish their individuality" and thusly broke a bottle at the far end of the bar. I continued eating as she cleaned up the glass, but she soon got right back to throwing bottles around the bar. I was almost done with my meal when she broke another bottle just under the bar where I sat and glass fragments landed around me. I asked for my check & finished my wine, dug-out a few coins from my pocket, jotted a quick note to mgt. on the check & swept a few glass chunks ONTO the check, with the coins. I got up, shot a thumbs-up at my server/bar-TWIT and left, NEVER to return. I had to pinch myself: was I dreaming this? Summary: Great food & menu, but server-staff are juvenile & bottom of the bucket.
