I ordered a salad to go from the website. I arrived 20 minutes after ordering when I was told it would be ready and it was not. The restaurant was completely dead. After waiting an additional 20 minutes I asked about it. The greeter went to her manager who reluctantly headed my way. Luckily for him another server just had the same salad returned after a guest had touched it by one of the 2 tables in the restaurant. Right in front of me he grabbed the salad and took it to the back and boxed it up. Gross...I have worked in restaurants for years and I am pretty sure this is a health code violation. The salad had the wrong dressing on it. By this point I had been there almost an hour and at this point I asked for a refund. The manager was very reluctant...and then tried to refuse by saying he can only give a refund within 30 minutes of giving order. At this point I asked for the number of the general manager....wow suddenly he was able to issue a refund. Not once did he apologize for the experience. I will never EVER go back.

Where to begin? My son and I both ordered onion petals for a side to our sandwiches. His were golden brown and crispy. Mine were very well done and too hard to eat. Our waiter disappeared after dropping off our orders never to return. After about 7 to 10 minutes I finally caught the attention of a waitress(Surely she wasnt ignoring the lady wildly waving her arms for attention) who came over, mumbled something and then, she too disappeared. Are we noticing a pattern here? I finally called to the manager (Bill something) and he too, took his time coming to our table. He did offer to replace the onion petals but we were through with our sandwiches. He did take $2.00 off our order (big whoop). Needless to say this was our 1st and last visit to Bob Evans. My rating on a scale of 1 to 10? Minus 50.

Been there twice. 1st time for dinner and it was great. Plenty of pot roast for the price. Had lunch yesterday. Noticed portion seemed smaller. Asked about it and they to say that we ordered a smaller version. Looked at receipt and was charged the full dinner price. I said no we just said we wanted the pot roast dinner. Manager did give us a small dinner to go that had 4 pieces of meat about 8 bites. We had asked for their banana bread and waitress told us she was cutting it. Then about 15 min. Later was told it was baking and would be another 35 min. Until ready. This was at the end of our meal. Very disappointed 2nd time. They did have loves up front that were for sale.

Not a lot of options for people who are dairy free. I ordered a sandwich that was supposed to be dairy free if I took the cheese off, told my server that I couldnt have dairy, but the bread was still toasted in butter, which was disappointing and led to a rather painful next few days for me. Not to mention the food didnt taste very good. My boyfriend (who is not dairy free) refused to even finish half of his meal because it tasted so bad. I agreed with him on the taste, but was hungry enough to eat everything, dairy and all. Definitely will not return there.

The main reason for such a low score, was due to such a inattentive waitress, I could understand it if there were a full house, however being only the 4th couple in there at the time does not sit well with me. 1st issue, did not have any utensils on the table. 2nd issue, when placing our drink order she "forgot" to bring my wife her coffee. 3rd issue, when our food came (breakfast) she had not brought all of it (forgot maple syrup), 3rd issue, Had requested some peanut butter, did not bring til almost done with food. Highly doubt I will be back.

Worst place for a meal, even more terrible place for employment. Fired at 8 mos pregnant for asking a customer to stop swearing at me. The customer is always right. Right? Horrible management. Dont work here, dont eat here. The quality of the food is worth nothing for what you give for it - half the dinner items on the menu are prepared in the microwave. Nothing like instant mashed potatoes. Biscuits and dinner rolls that sit and stale in warmers all day. Nothings "farm fresh". Bon apitite.

If you want a weak cup of coffee between meals, this place is probably OK. But you dont want to come here on a Sunday morning with friends and family. They seem completely unable to handle a group of people greater than 4. We waited for 45 minutes to be seated and they still couldnt sort out how to push a couple of tables together to accommodate us. It was as if they were being held to some invisible rule of helplessness. Exasperated from the wait, we went next door to Burger King, alas.

We dined at about 1 PM today (Sunday 9/14/14), when it was fairly crowded. Both the food and service were very good, in spite of how many people they had to deal with at once. We enjoyed blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, hash browns, and sausage links. All of the food was excellent, especially the pancakes. Our waitress was more attentive at the beginning of the meal and less so toward the end, but we understood because of the crowd. All in all, a pleasant experience.

Service was ok .food was not that great . I had soup and 1/2 sandwich. The soup was nothing special and my grilled cheese didnt have the cheese completely melted. I was going to order desert but was told all they had was apple and coconut pie . I couldnt believe they had a desert menu on the table showing 8 or 10 different things. I didnt complain because frankly what good would it have done and I did need desert anyway. For the price and quality of food I wont go back.

We were told there would be 5-10 minute wait...after 20 minutes, we finally got seated. 5 minutes later our waitress laid our silverware down, disappeared for 5 more minutes,, she then came back to take our order. We ask about kitchen backup, she advised there was backup since there was only one person cooking. We left and went someplace else, food wasnt as good but service was a lot better. Horrible experience..wont go back.

Bob Evans provides decent, Ohio country fare and is worth the money if you have discount coupons. The breakfast menu items and turkey dinner are nice. About half the time the issue here is the wait staff. It seems like they havent adapted well to bussing and serving. Food can sit in the pickup window and get cold before you get it. Also for some reason...like sewer gas..this relatively clean restroom smells bad.

If you are looking for slow service and hard old biscuits. This is the place for you. I have eaten at this Restaurant on four different occasions and each time I have had a bad experience. The waiters disappear and forget getting more than one refill. Each time I have been here the place is almost empty, but the staff act like it is packed. Very disappointed.

Was not a good experience tonight....we most probably will never go back. Only 3 customers in restaurant and 1 waitress to wait and bus, she was nice and apologetic. The cooks were obnoxiously loud..and while Im glad they were enjoying each other not only did it make dining hard to enjoy....they spent too much time having fun and messed up order.
