Went early on a Saturday afternoon. Ambiance and service were okay. Our waiter kept disappearing - maybe to help clean up from the lunch rush - but other waiters came by often enough that we could tell someone when we were ready for our order or the bill, etc. Speed of food prep was excellent - probably less than 10 minutes from placing our order to getting our food. The food, however, was a disappointment. My wifes fajitas were okay. But my taquitos (both beef and chicken) had a sour, fermented odor. The beef in my beef taquito and my beef and nachos was also low quality and stringy/chewy. Overall, the food was bland - not spicy at all. Maybe there are some really good dishes here and we just ordered the wrong things, but nothing we got made us want to go back. Weve definitely had better Mexican food at other local places.

I ordered nachos with cheese and chicken and well done veggies my vegetables were raw still barley even hot I had asked for extra cheese and when picked my meal up through Togo was charged for extra cheese it visably did not have extra cheese and when I said something about it was told 2 ladles were put on it and thats all I was getting when I said something that I was not happy about this was given awful customer service and let to walk out the door without even a fixture of my meal this is awful customer service and I will never be back I will from now on go somewhere else and I hope others follow this place once was great now has gone to hell in the past 2 years not happy at all with my food or service

The only thing that I can say good about this place is that they have good drinks. But they rush you out starting at 8:30 so experience is no bueno Lo único que puedo decir bueno sobre este lugar es que tienen buenas bebidas. Pero te apresuran a salir a las 8:30 así que la experiencia no es bueno

1.) Ordered a cheese enchilada only to receive one made with "American" (e.g. FAKE) cheese. All items that we ordered had this fake cheese used rather than real cheddar. Server even verified when asked that it was processed cheese "Land OLakes" 2.) Ordered a chicken quesadilla and was given the option of shredded or grilled, but was NOT told that the grilled was a different menu item altogether and more expensive. 3.) Chips tasted terrible - like cardboard... not flakey and yummy like most Mexican restaurants we have been to.

Weve visited the Monterrey Mexican Restaurant a few times. Its usually the place to go for cheap margaritas, but tonight we enjoyed the Chips & Salsa & ChoriQueso dip with fresh tortillas for an appetizer. I tried the Camarones al Mojo de Ajo, which I have to say is my new favorite. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. The restaurant was extremely busy tonight, so service wasnt quite as good as other visits and we were stuck in a tiny booth in the bar, but the place was hoppin and full of energy.

This is one of the most authentic Mexican restaurants around. The food is excellent and well presented. We have been going for years and truly enjoy the experience. Customers are treated like friends. The margaritas are especially tasty. There is a wide variety of food to please even the most picky eater. We rarely visit any other Mexican restaurant because while others are good, none of them are Monterey.

This place was ok. It is old and has not been updated in years. The chips and salsa were ok, but have had better. The cheese dip was good. We ordered our food and literally got it in 5 minutes, so the food is already prepared and they basically just plate it. I had fajitas and the steak was not very good quality wise and the green peppers were not cooked all the way. The prices are good.

Food here is good, but service is not the best. We come here at least once a week and the service is always crappy. This last time is no different. Id rather go somewhere else from now on, its sad because its so close but its not worth spending my money there anymore. Oh, btw they dont allow dogs on their patio. Just a heads up before you drive your fur babies all the wau down there.

I always get the fried beef chimichangas. Delicious. Fast service every time Ive been. They also have good guacamole. Only tried the chili relleno once and wasnt a fan. I like thin crispy batter and it was too thick for me and the pepper was pretty firm. Might try it again one day since it could have just been an off day. Overall my favorite mexican place Ive been to in woodstock.

Margaritas are always on point and you cant drunk just one ever. Also have the best grilled chicken quesodillas out of any Mexican restaurant Ive been to. Only downfall is waiting on servers the past couple times Ive been which could just be they give too many tables to each server but regardless, that hurts their 5 stars.

Service was excellent. Food was not. Medium/hot salsa is served. I asked if there was mild. Mild was brought out. It tasted like marinara and salsa mixed. Really off. The enchilada and burrito were just a huge mess. The taco shell was soggy. Not bad enough to complain, just bad enough to wish I hadnt ordered it.

So pleased! I was running late for an event and didnt have much time to eat. They had us seated immediately on a Friday night. We ordered, got food, and were finished eating within 40 minites (longer than the wait for a table anywhere else)! This place rocks. Most delicious queso Ive ever had.

Best margaritas in town but you might as will not even bother going in after 8 oclock because they will be turning off the lights on you while youre eating really sucks when youre trying to enjoy a meal and you feel rushed out 30 minutes before closing.

Good standard Mexican. Their tacos are huge. They do a lot of different weekday food and drink specials. The bar area is pretty cramped and have noticed the bar customers get a little loud. Dont sit in the bar area if youre looking for a quiet dinner.

Great margaritas, even if you are watching your diet you can enjoy a skinny margarita and not miss out. The Mexican guacamole is also a healthy and delicious option. For those who daring and like spicy food ask for the special tomatillo sauce!

Great Carne Asada, lots of other options, I can highly recommend these folks. The staff has always been friendly even when Ive shown up with large groups without a heads up. Wait staff are great with kids/toddlers too.

Chili poblano was definitely frozen pre cooking and super soggy when it came to me. The taste left alot to be desired unless you enjoy cardboard. Salsa was good though same with the guacamole.

Good is good and fast. Ive been for lunch and dinner and very surprised how fast the kitchen turns an order. If youre in a rush and dont have much time, stop in here. Well be back!
