Mesa pizza-overpriced, kinda icky, and misleading menu. I ordered a vegan 14" and a 20" chicken pineapple barbeque sauce delivered through orderup. The bill was 52.00 with a 15% tip. The vegan was good, but certainly not THAT good for the price ($18) The sauce is tasteless and quite sugary. The chicken barbeque was totally inedible. It consisted of crust slathered in bbq with very little chicken and pineapple AND NO CHEESE. I was (and am) flummoxed by this. When I called to complain, I was beligerently informed that it usually doesnt come with cheese. Yes, I was put off and slightly peeved, but hello? Who orders (a non vegan) pizza and has to SPECIFY cheese? And who charges $27 for a "pizza" that has a topping value at roughly $2? Maybe two pieces were choked down, and the rest sits wasted on the countertop. The person taking my complaint deigned to offer me a free 12" pizza. All I had to do was give my name and pick up my pizza next time. I would expect that the free pizza wouldnt be any better, nor would I trust it not to contain foreign matter, as the customer service on the phone consisted of "I WAS going to tell you I would give you a free pizza." It would be nice to get an admission that the menu might be misleading if cheese is not a default ingredient on a PIZZA. A non-vegan pizza. Trust: order from The Wedge. Its a much better pizza and a much better value.

(Lunchtime experience) Maybe this pizza is solely intended to be consumed while drunk, because its just bad during the day. The crust lacks any color, a sign of undercooking and no brushed oil. It sits out without heat application so the cheese gets re-hardened. The cashier isnt in the mood to let it re-heat long enough in the oven -- end result: lukewarm pizza. The selection of toppings is one of two extremes: boring or over-the-top strange. Im guessing this was good pizza some many years ago, but the sheep just keep repeating "awesome pizza!" generation after generation without thinking for themselves.

If you want to pay $4 for one slice of sub-par pizza in a dirty "restaurant" while kids with dreadlocks stare at you instead of providing minimum service -then this is the place for you! Id skip the risk of dirty curlys in your pizza and walk around the corner for something MUCH better (Shorts, the Wedge, Zmariks, Pizza arcade... pretty much anything is better than MESA)

Great pizza and they always have a great variety so vegitarians and meat lovers can go and be in harmoney together. Only bad thing I have to say is that they upped the price/slice. It is still a good deal, but more like a treat you go to once in awhile than a regular hang out place like it used to be. Id strongly suggest the quesidilla chicken pizza or spicy chicken.

WE KNOW PIZZA. And we sure as hell know vegan pizza. Why the hell are CARROTS and PINEAPPLE on my pizza together? Then they threw on spinach and peppers? And why is this vegetable mish-mash the ONLY vegan option? If youre vegan and youre drunk, you could possibly enjoy this. But I feel more like a drunk vegan made this pizza.

Pizza types are interesting. Wish they would tell me which pizzas are fresh though, because heating up an old pizza just doesnt taste as good. Also, staff dont really seem to know which pizzas are which. You just have to see if the pizza has the toppings you want. But at 1am, no one is complaining.

Fully half of the pizza selections are vegetarian, which is a wonderful change of pace from most fast-serving sorts of food places. The pizza is delicious, the lunch special is convenient and simple, and the service is always friendly. I go there maybe TOO often, to be honest.

This is the epitome of greasy, nasty pizza -- in a good way. I just ate a slice, and I know Ill be sick for the rest of the night. I love that the pizza is simple and the place is small and simple as well. Nice staff and a great location, but just very, very messy and greasy.

Not impressed with the pizza. Got a large pepperoni to go. When we got home took one bite out of the pizza the pizza had a gritty taste to it. Took the toppings off and there is little brown and black specks of what Im suspecting is dirt, I will not eat here again.

Im sorry but why, WHY is it always as much for a vegan pizza as it is for a meat n cheese one. Veggies and sauce are so cheap. The vegetarian and vegan ones should be at least $1 or $2 cheaper.

Pizza was good and artwork on walls is cool. I had the mac n cheese pizza and enjoyed it a lot. Only thing is the atmosphere is a little grungy but pretty great pizza even if its in a dive.

This thin pizza has a sweet sauce and was very greesy where the crust became soggy and any attempts to reheat it would result in a mush of inedible garbage. If you eat this eat it hot

Best pizza by the slice in Iowa City. Chicken Cordon Bleu and Pepperoni, Salami, & Balsamic are my current favorites. Salads are nice and fresh and the lunch deals are a good value.

Couldnt order because it was an extra $8 to add some mushrooms to my large cheese pizza making the total $21 instead of $13. Those are some expensive mushrooms for a grad student.

Lots of unusual options and choices. They dont always have you first choice though. Slices are kind of expensive and they reheat them instead of being fresh out of the oven.

My favorite place to get a slice in Iowa City. The crust is perfect and lots of interesting specialty pizzas. I never saw the appeal of Mac n cheese
