We usually get take out and love it. The other night was the worse experience we ever had and it was a Tuesday night so they were not even busy. Asked for a fried chicken salad which is usually awesome. We stopped going to applebees because of theirs. We got a grilled chicken salad and chicken was pink and the salad barely had any toppings on it. Lettuce was in chunks and wilted. Bacon in the salad was burned. Onion rings that are usually good were greasy. Not sure whats going on but really hope this isnt something that will be the normal. Not many good places in eat in Altoona or that have good take out. Fireside has always been great and nice about it. My husband cant eat in restaurants that often do to PTSD so it was nice to have a good place to get take out. Please Fireside improve this.

Fun, pub atmosphere with standard fare. The spinach artichoke dip is fantastic, however certainly not a healthy option as it seems to basically be a cheese dip. I would still highly recommend it if you arent concerned about the calories. Service is attentive and energetic. They seem to have quite a few group games later in the evening. We have seen music bingo and trivia nights, although I am unsure about the schedule for these events. Lots of fun, free to play and prizes of food and drink make it more about the fun, and less about the competion. Great times and we will be back!

Friendly staff! The bartenders and wait staff are very courteous and attentive. The food is what you would expect from a good sports bar with some local specialties thrown in, like the fire and ice wings, and the slow cooked pork sliders ... both are worth the trip. The drinks have been potent and they have been weak ... depending on the bartender, but overall it makes for a fun evening. I recommend going on Karaoke bingo night ... that is a blast!

The last two times my wife & I went the service was terrible. We had to wait forever for service and the food. The last time we waited for about 10 minutes for anyone to come to our table. All the while on of the staff just stood around and joked with his friends. We got up and walked out without even placing a drink order. We will not be back.

Great place to eat with friends or family!! The service was warm, welcoming and efficient. Everything was done very smoothly and the food was very good. We had the Fireside burger, a wrap and the chicken strips. Great flavor! Good place for sports teams or just eating out for the night.

We booked the party room for a party of 35 on a Friday night. The food was absolutely excellent! The only problem was that the didnt plan for our large group. Only ONE server who was OUTSTANDING. But there should have been 4 of her. She had no help. Otherwise 5stars. Very understaffed.

It wasnt that busy, and the food took 45min at least. We asked for no tomatoes and we had tomatoes, asked for bacon and got no bacon. Had to ask for ketchup twice during the meal, and to top it of my meat was bloody and I wasnt asked how I wanted it

Honestly, I didnt have much to eat because I came after dinner for the music bingo. The bingo was great. The french fries I had were also pretty good - thick, crisp, not too greasy. The iced tea was also great.

the hamburg soup is great. the service was horrible. I dined alone. several people came in after me as a group and were served first. even after my food arrived, it was a challenge to get more coffee.

Food is poor, service is slow. Ive given this disaster several chances over the past 6 years. Never again. Ill give them an A+ for consistency. Consistently crappy. Rude and hardly worth my dime.

I mostly go there on Thursday nights to play DJ Bingo with Seth. I go with friends and family and we have a great time having drinks and eating. Cozy place with good food at reasonable prices.
