The service was not rushed. The best part of the meal was the Salad, I got a 10 oz Filet. First thing is I can tell by the lack of firmness that this is not free range beef. There was no muscle tone to the meat at all. Normally indicating that these are feed lot beef. The second issue was the stake was not cooked well. With something this think it should have been dry boiled prior to attempting to grill it. I ordered it medium since this would be a thicker cut of meat and normally it is expected to be under cooked enough that you get medium rare. What I got, the outside was carboned, and the inside was rare. I did not finish my steak. The sauteed onions and mushrooms were a bit on the mushy and cool side, like they may have been prepared well in advance. I paid my full bill of over $60 and left a good tip for the waitress as it was not her fault. I spoke with the host and explained that I felt the person that did the grilling may need a bit more training. I give an extra start (now 2) because the staff did imediatly attempt to take it off my bill. I explained that I did not want to say anything until after I paid, because I did not want anyone thinking I was just looking for a discount. It annoys me when I see others complaining just to get a free meal. Your mileage may very. I do believe that they will attempt to improve on the grilling of the meat. I do hope that they work with their vendor to get a bit better quality of meat, because what they are advertising and what is being served is not the same. If I was to guess, I would say it is not the restaurants fault for the meat quality but more likely the supplier is cutting corners. Staff was excellent.

The Easter brunch here was absolutely terrible. Coming in at a whopping $37 a person, one would expect quality and freshness in their food. Instead what we were greeted with was fish that tasted like the smell of rotting sea critters, oysters which were almost too questionable to even eat, sides so basic it seemed they could have done better at Chunky Cheeses, a fresh fruit selection even the flies were disappointed with, and to top it off a meat and cheese selection which had the aroma and flavor of an old storage garage. In spite of all that, at least they had a big tub of mixed greens including the choice of using either a ranch with dots in it, another irrelevant dressing, or, ooo, balsamic vinegar. The advertisement for brunch may as well have read, "Come on in to our upper class steakhouse for an Easter brunch that rivals Old Country Buffet!" At least the kids got their value out of the make your own cupcake stand with a diverse array of the finest artificially colored sprinkles and frosting available on the market today. On a positive note, the servers and waiters here had a phenomenal influence on helping us feel comfortable and social while we were here.

Came here for restaurant week. The menu they had chosen for this was perfect. We started with the French onion soup and the lobster cake. The French onion soup was perfect and wasnt too overly done. The crab cake was not over done either. It was very flavorful. I think the only thing may have been that it was a little salty. We got the buttermilk chicken sandwich with the sweet potato fries for the entree. The fries were awesome and sandwich was the same. The chicken was so moist and cooked to perfection. The seasoning was perfect and the Sriracha topping was a great addition. Our server Annette was very friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. We felt right at home. We ended up taking the desert and the lobster mac we ordered to go since we were stuffed. The portions are very filling. We would definitely come back to this place!

My boyfriend and I decided to check out this place during restaurant week because we were in the area. I was expecting mediocre but got excellence (and I am critical). We ended up eating at the bar but the service was wonderful. Chad the bartender is a character. They did forget to give us our appetizers before our entree, but then they gave us 4 extra scallops to make up for it and we were happy. The ribeye was cooked perfectly, as well as the spinach and green beans. The twice baked potato looked amazing (and big enough for 2) but I didnt get a taste. The house chocolate cake is delicious. I was really surprised that a Hilton Hotel could have such as good restaurant. I recommend you check it out.

I had a one time bad experience with the Bloomington Chophouse, yet after a year, I thought to give it another try. We were a party of four. I was the only one to ask for a Flat Earth draft beer. The price was average ($6.00). When I was handed with my bill, my beer went up to $11.00. I didnt want to stur up a dialogue with the waiter, because he was not the one who took the drinks order and didnt want to disturb the ambiance, either. I thought Ill write a feedback to the restaurant when I get home. Unfortunately, they dont have the "contact us" on their website. Otherwise service was very good and food was to the satisfaction of the group.

You can tell that this place is a HOTEL CHAIN RESTAURANT. No pride in the food they serve. Below average steaks, salads and desserts - high note was a chocolate cake for dessert but in no way redeemed the rest of the experience. Service was not at all professional. To command these prices you need to have a professionally trained wait staff. Our waitress did not even know how to open a bottle of wine properly, and was not knowledable on the food offerings. Will not be back even if they put out more Groupons. If you want to eat a good restaurant in Bloomington try Kincaids, Ciao Bella, or Woolleys Steakhouse.

Food is very poor. My meal included: Complimentary bread - decent Mashed potatoes - comparable to a Banquet dinner. Prime Rib - very poor taste. I didnt even finish it because I stand the poor quality and taste (still paid my full bill). The good things about this restaurant is that they seem to keep it very clean and the waitress was very nice. If you want nice service and a pleasant ambiance then this should meet you expectations. If youre looking for a steakhouse where you plan to eat, Id recommend even a Texas Roadhouse over this place.

Came down from my room at the Hilton for a quick bite to eat and decided to eat dinner at the Chop House. Food looked a bit pricey but I decided to go with their special of a 6 oz filet with seared scallops. I have to say it was one of the best steaks Ive had in a long time. When I can cut my steak with a fork, Im impressed. I would suggest giving it a try.

Just went to their bar for happy hour. Two of the drinks on their happy hour menu they could not make because they did not have the liquor in stock. Instead of their signature old fashioned on the happy hour menu I asked if they could just do a normal one, I was surprised they charged full price of 14$. Nice bait and switch there.
