Im from the southwest and this is the best Mexican food Ive found in Des Moines after two and a half years of searching, hands down. The enchilada sauce is a deep savory red chili sauce instead of that watered down pink fare you find at most places out here. The tortillas have just the right crispness and flavor. The guacamole is inexplicably fresh and tasty, even out of season. The chips and salsa are top tier. The rice and beans are the best in the mid west. And the fried ice cream is fried ice cream. Who doesnt like fried ice cream? No one that matters, thats who. Give it a try if youre a fan of Mexican food from Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, and West Texas.

My boyfriend and I went there tonight and he ordered a margarita. He had drank half of it and I noticed that there was something floating in his drink. So he got it out with his straw and I took it and realized it was a chunk of mascara. I even showed him how it broke down compared to the mascara that I had on and it was exactly the same. We showed it to our waitress and she said it was from the strawberries in the margarita. Im a make up lover and I know mascara consistency. It was definitely mascara. She didnt apologize or give up the drink for free. Thats just disgusting and I will NEVER go back there!!

Our waitress was terrible, it took over 10 minute just to get a couple of sodas for my wife and I. Food took 15-20 minutes and it was lack luster at best. This place was not busy at all, not sure what takes this guys so long. Our waitress never checked back on us after our food arrived, didnt get refills on our sodas and we had to go up to the front desk to pay for our food. This is our second and last visit. Last time we were in here was not much better. We will look for another mexican restaurant that has better food and faster service.

Average Mexican food. The same 4-5 ingredients presented differently after being microwaved. No spice. No creativity. If youve had one strip mall Mexican restaurant then youve had this one. Basic decor that looks like theyre not even trying. The staff were inattentive and functional at best. The food arrived quickly, but it was way too hot and bland upon tasting. The check out register is in the same spot as the lobby, and people to shuffle around to wait in line or pay.

It was a horrible experience. Our server was rude. She did not check on us. It took us over an hour to get our food. She did not get us our check. A different server did and we had to ask him to do it. The restaurant was not busy. And the worst part was that there was a fly that kept flying around me while I was trying to eat!!! I will not return!

I love this place. I order from them frequently and every time the food is good,fresh and hot.My order is always ready to go when I get there. They are really nice, very friendly. The customer service is great. I have ate in the restaurant a couple times as well. Its clean and plenty of space. The food is delivered quickly.

Terrible service took over 10 minutes to be greeted after being seated good toom another 20 minutes and our server rarely dpoke to us, other servers were more talkitive regarding our table but still terrible service overall 0/5 stars just rating it 5 stars so people will see the review and know not to ever eat here.

Only putting five stars so people can see this. Please go to a different Mexican restaurant. This is the worst experience Ive ever had at a resturant, food took 40 minutes, I told the waitress (terrible) I was in a hurry and we waited forever. Awful experience. I missed 10 minutes of Spider-Man Homecoming.

The food here was exceptional. The sevices was fantastic. Ive already recommended it to my family. My hubby doesnt like Mexican food and he even said this is the best Mexican food he has ever had.

My 5 star rating for several good reasons. First, I always wash my hands before eating. The mens room was spotless. Clean. Chips and salsa fresh. Amazing. This is my fav of favs for salsa and chips.
