OK, this is the quintessential hole in the wall. I have driven by this place for years and wondered whether it was any good. I am pleased to report that the cheesesteak is as advertised, excellent. The hot cheesesteak is also quite good. Indeed, the sliced jalepenos were a nice touch. They accept all forms of payment, including AMEX, and they are quite nice. While there, a whole slew of customers picked up to go orders, which appears to be their bread and butter.

They have raised there prices to almost $9.00 for a steak sub with lettuce and tomatoe, Ive been going here for almost 6 yrs. , today I got charged $21.00 for 2 steak subs and a one frie, the sub had no flavor, they have done something to make the food cheaper and charge a higher price, very dissapointed. I even get jalepeno in the sub and that is now minced to the point you dont even taste it or the bland meat. Will not go back.

Absolutely love the 51 cheesesteak. Its cheap and fast. Its very small mom and pop place with indoor and outdoor seating. The bread is soft baguette that is lightly toasted. Little bit of crunch but super soft inside. Filled with meat, cheese, peppers, and mushrooms

after passing by this place numerous times over the years. I finally stopped in and order the sub. The bread was soft the food was great and I like the way everything came together and for the price I cant complain will do it again

I used to eat here when the original owner had it. The bread is good. But there is less meat. Also after not tasting the bell pepper I opened the sandwich and counted 3 half cuts on a 12in. Not impressed.

Great food and a very reasonable price. The folks are very friendly. While it isnt the most visiually appealing place, it is perhaps the greatest tasting philly I know of.

I like the Italian Cheese Steak Sub, but it better has more vege. The price for 6 inches sub here is higher then the one in Subway. So, I like Subway more!

Surprisingly good. Great cheese steaks. Soft bread and delicious fillings. Hours tend to fluctuate, so if you see the open sign on, stop in.
