Pluses: Great food. Very unique tasting and much higher quality than Los Rancheros. Ate the Cuban sandwich with casavas (yuccas). Very well made and tasty. Even the tea was unique tasting. Met the cook (owner I think) and he made us an appetizer of tostones (name?) which is fried plantains with roast beef and cilantro. Really good! My girlfriend had the baked chicken with rice and beans. Very high quality. Good price. Bill was about 23 bucks. Minuses: Took over 35 minutes to get our food. This is a problem when you only have an hour for lunch. Girlfriend had to leave after only a few bites. Sparse decorations. Some radio station playing. Not authentic Puerto Rican music. Food served on plastic and paper. Im just a stickler for the little things. My hangup.

Amazing! If you want to walk into a familys home kitchen in Puerto Rico, be treated like family, and never leave the States then this is your place. We almost could not eat lunch after they fed us all the samples. The owners are very proud & so very friendly! Even shared their fruit with us. We went at an off hour (2:30) and it was empty but that only made it more homey. Dont be fooled by the modest exterior on the. A Kaiden of a Thai restaurant which is next door. This place makes up for looks and location with a darn good meal and friendly atmosphere. Shhh, dont tell anyone about this gem. We will be back every time were in the area!!!

I loved this place! They treated us as part of their family. It is a family owned small restaurant but full of taste and kindness. I loved the puertorrican food. Best puertorrican pernil in Florida so far. I ate rellenos de papa, Pastelillos, piñón, rice and pork, tostones and guava juice. They cook rice every day and they prepare your meal at the moment of order, because of that it could take a little bit more time but it is definitely worth. Great service! I feel bad I didnt take pictures of the food to share it. Definitely will go again when comes back to the area.

This was such a wonderful part of our vacation! Ill warn you, there will most likely be a wait on the food but only because there is someone in the kitchen making everything fresh while you wait. The food was delicious and worth the wait. My husband and I tried a little bit of just about everything and it was all great. My favorite was the Tostones con Carne. We had a chance to talk with the owners and they were a delight. I felt as though I had found my long lost aunt, uncle and cousin. I will definitely make El Rincon a part of my vacation next time Im in Fort Walton.

My husband and I are both Puerto Rican foodies, anywhere we are, we scout out the PR restaurants... unfortunately Rincon Boricua wasnt great for us. Though, the service was great -everyone was very friendly and kind. The food took forever to arrive and when it did arrive it wasnt very good. The Pernil was mostly fat and the "bistec encebollao" was more like burned steak tips with onions. And they served arroz con gandules with habichuelas (beans) which I didnt quite understand. We will not be returning to Rincon Boricua until they bring an authentic Boricua to the kitchen.

Amazing! Food was great, staff was great... overall one of the best experiences I had in the Panhandle. The food is puerto rican with a small Mexican twist. We had the Tostones Especiales and as a Puerto Rican, I have to say is one of the best things Ive ever had! Hector is a great host and he will even have you taste some of his food creations. The hours on google are not accurate so make sure you call because they do open until later than 3pm. This place is a must visit!

This is the food I grew up on and I miss it! This is exactly how I remember these dishes to be! The flavors the atmosphere the kind smiles from the family who own and run the place all bring back the fond memories of my childhood. Bring your appetites because the portions are huge and theyll break your waistband long before your wallet as the prices here are cheaper than even the crappiest fast food joints out there.

BEST FOOD and SERVICE ever! We had the pork, rice and beans with an empanada and sweet plantains on the side, and flan for dessert. It was all AMAZING. We were treated like family, and they gave us a sample before we ordered. RUN, DO NOT WALK, to this awesome place and enjoy some home cooked food that will make your taste buds swoon.

Authentic home made family run spot . Chicken, rice , and beans - stew was excellent and my preferred dish. Service great but dont go there thinking this is fast food. The is real home cooked food so be prepared to wait a few minutes. One of my favorite places to eat for lunch because it reminds me of home cooked food.

Amazing food. Great when I say great I mean above and beyond. They sure know how to make you feel like you at home with your grandparents. Really awesome local place to visit. I Love this place. I wish I lived here so I could go here more often. Thanks to the Owner to be so welcoming and making me feel like home.

Best Puerto Rican food along the Florida panhandle. Everything we ordered was authentic Boricua food. All of it fresh, hot, tasty and delicious. The staff is amazing and will immediately make you feel at home. The minute we walked in we felt as if we were back in P.R. I just love El Rincon Boriqua and will be back.

Authentic Puertoriccan food in a warm, friendly atmosphere. The owner created the Tostones Especiales ( plaintains with chicken, cilantro, avocado and onions) after we requested trying tostones with chicken. He put a Mexican twist on it, and it is the most mouth watering fusion of tastes you will ever have.

We dropped in last Sunday for lunch while in Florida for a few days. The owners and staff were very hospitable. Only one other patron was there when we arrived. The items we tried were good. I posted photos of everything. I liked the pork better than the beef. The fried items were really good!

Im going to say this is the same place that I knew when I lived there. I believe this has been in a couple different locations; next to a Thai place and in Destin. If this is the same place Im thinking of, the food is good and you should give it a try. Get some mofongo and cerveza.

My Wife ordered steak and rice, and I ordered Empanadas. Hers was ready while my empanadas were still cooking. The owner brought out her food and a sample of her plate for me, just so we could start eating together. Awesome service!

The family/owners embodied the spirit and hospitality of great servants! We felt at home and the food is delicious!! We were on vacation during thanksgiving and not going to families homes and we felt like we were with family.
