This may be my favorite restaurant on the Westside. Thats right you may find this a tad surprising, but theres an Ethiopian restaurant on the west side of Cincinnati & it is delicious. The injera is tangy, the kifto spicy & the lentils are rich and cooked perfectly. They do traditional Ethiopian coffee service (always a treat), but better than that & better than the food are the people who own the business. Theyre nice, happy to help you figure out what you might like to eat, and they enjoy having kids around. Do yourself and the whole Westside a favor: go to Habesha at least once a month - these are the kinds of restaurants we need on my side of town. Oh yeah, and they have breakfast. :)

If there were 10 stars, this place deserves it. I have had Ethiopian food in many different places from NYC to California. Habesha is by far the best one so far. Whenever we are in the mood for Ethiopian, we think of trying others in the area but the heart takes us here. So good! The meat platters are full of flavor and I have never had vegetarian food that tastes so good. I am a full blown meat eater but I can ditch that for the veggie platter here. The only sad part is that it is not in the most swanky part of town and looks like a hole in the wall from outside. Service can take some time but they cook everything from scratch. Food is top notch!

few people there but we waited the longest I have ever waited in any restaurant at the peak of dinner rush. they just ignored us for about 35 minutes. food was ok but curiously we both got sick a day later. do not doubt the review saying they seen roaches, inside is really drab.

Acoustic, traditional East African Restaurant. Re-facilitated restaurant with new dishes available!!! The most unique thing about this place is that they serve organic foods. Its ingredients are not frozen thus making the foods totally safe and cancer free.

Family owned restaurant and the proprietor/waiter is super nice and welcoming The food is excellent. We had a vegetarian and a beef with green peppers dish and the flavors were different, complementary and delicious. BTW, its BYOB.

We enjoyed the diner and the Ethiopian music videos playing on the TV. Authentic Ethiopian coffee kept us up until 11 p.m.! We had the veggie platter and it was more than the two of us could finish. Very tasty.

The food was incredible. Fresh, flavorful, all very nuanced yet distinct. I seek out Ethiopian whenever Im out of town and this place rates high among all the big city Ethiopian restaurants Ive been to. A must.

This is a family restaurant. As such from this culture, the family is there, even if its only mom working. The food here is tasty and fun, but theres nothing that stands out.
