Great food but not worth the REALLY LONG wait. Came in on a Tuesday afternoon, well after the lunch rush and well before any dinner business. The dining room was about a quarter full, but it took fifteen minutes just to get a drink order in. Wait another fifteen minutes for the appetizer order, then another for the entree order - just to be taken. Drinks were refilled quickly enough but it was nearly 45 minutes from the time the entree order was made until it came to the table; one order was a sandwich and the other was chicken pasta. The table next to us ordered sandwiches only and still had to wait half an hour. The server said that he was training another server, resulting in him bringing everything late but we never saw them, or a manager or supervisor. Like I said, the food was really good but not worth such a long wait.

I ordered two gluten free pizzas and was told it would be 20 min. As I was on my way to pick them up (literally turning into 3rd street) I get a call saying they dont make gluten free pizzas on Tuesdays (even though I was told originally that they are made everyday) but they will make it anyway for me. I was told it would be an hour before they were ready. I told the girl to cancel the order because it was already 7pm and I was already on my way. She was so incredibly rude and told me "well they are already making them". I once again explained to her that I was already on my way to pick up said pizzas only to find out they would be another hour. She never once apologized and was honestly so rude I was flabbergasted. I definitely wont be ordering there again after that.

I marked as a three but really after being there 5-6 times... My experiences have either been a 2 or a 4. The food is always pretty good. There is no host station. So you walk in and just stand there and wait for an employee to approach you. Which sometimes doesnt happen real promptly. The service staff is laid back and sometimes thats alright other times you just want them to do there job more formally and stop chatting. Now it seems the places maintance is waning. The leather chair tops are splitting, the faux wood beams had cobwebs all over them. And the floor looks like it was not designed for heavy wear. All minor things that can be overlooked but that being said... Why not just fix the minor things?

My wife and I have been to Cotto a Legna a number of times, and we have enjoyed it every time. The ambience is nice: casual, lighting just bright enough (but not too bright), and tables spaced well apart. Even when it is crowded it doesnt feel that way. Lots of windows, so it feels open. Service has also been good. The food has all been very tasty. We particularly like the pollo e cavatappi, which is grilled chicken with spinach + spiral pasta in a garlic cream sauce. The pizzas are also quite good, which youd be expecting with the brick oven.

Authentic Italian food, this is the real deal. Went in and place was packed but they found the way to accomodate 5 of us, food is so tasty and looks great, asked for pizzas and they are yummy, had a salad and was trully fresh. Service was excellent and speed of food as expected. The restaurant needs to expand and open up to nearby cities, the only thing I did not like is all servers are in coming around the table asking if eveything is fine, you can always answer "everything is awesome" but is a little annoying. Keep it up, great job.

This is one of my favorite places to eat. My favorite dish is the Italian Rosini. Two steak medallions with mash potatoes and red peppers. Ive taken my mom and my friends here and they absolutely loved the food. Im sad to see the other negative reviews but I guess everybodys experience is different. I would give it 5 starts but the reason why Im giving 4 is because there is no host stand. When you walk in your kind of waiting in the middle of the dining room where everybody is eating. It feels a little awkward.

Do not go on on Saturday night. We waited for our waiter for 15 min. Then finally asked who was helping us. Ordered app, pizza and bottle of wine. They got our pizza order wrong we couldnt find our waiter so we started to eat it. When we said it was the wrong one they said oh well you started eating it. Also over charged for our bottle of wine. Will not go back. Plenty of restaurants in Geneva with much better service.

The pizza I had was good but the service was awful. It took about an hour for our food to arrive. Other tables were seated, are and left. They did comp out entire meal but didnt seem to have any explanation for the delay. The food we had was good but not great. I can get better wood fired pizza just a few blocks north.

Great restaurant! Gluten free pizza dough was a plus! The amount of arugula on the top of the pizza was enough to make a side salad (bonus, depending on how your feel about arugula). Felt like the prosciutto kept falling off the pizza crust which was a little annoying.

Best Italian Restaurant in Geneva. Food is delicious and service is very attentive.Appetizers are so many and all well made,Entrees are the top and Pizza have the real flavor of Italy. Cant wait to go back and try more and more.Well done.

A great Italian restaurant. We have been here several times and have never made it past the pizza section of the menu - great variety. They have pastas and secondi patti as well. A little pricy compared to some other authentic places.

My earlier review was evidently removed by the restaurant. Our dinner was probably one of the worst experiences we have had at a restaurant. There are a lot of good restaurants in Geneva. Stay far away from this place.

Love it here. Im only in west Chicago for work Tuesdays and Thursdays and Im always excited for lunch time. 5/5. Great food, great place great people. There is no oven that can even compare to a real wood burning oven.
