I was here for a friends 30th birthday party. The menu was preselected and had an assortment of "endless" appetizers, entrees, and desserts for the group. Good atmosphere in the back bar area where most of the larger parties are seated; the volume level is considerably lower than by the front bar. Too many meatheads on staff working the door. A few of them were congregating near the revolving door causing people to get smacked as they tried pushing their way in, and grunted when asked to kindly move. What worked: Chicken tacos were quite tasty. The salsa tasted like grocery store bottled, though. Their "ultimate" burger was pretty good. Nothing too special though. Transparent tomatoes ahoy. Grr. The salmon....cubes...were very good. Cooked perfectly, I ate more of these than anything else, and there was a lot of food served. Spicy tuna rolls werent spicy. Some pieces were almost entirely vegan. Cornbread is fine, but its nothing super special. I may have missed it, but it would be better if they served it with some honey butter. Carrot cake. Well duh, its fantastic. Best reaction ever: "thats not ice cream!" (yes, there are two huge dollops of frosting on the plate.) What didnt: Brussels sprout salad. I like brussels sprouts, but they just didnt work in this salad at all. Others at my table gobbled up at least three servings. I felt it lacked a lot of flavor, which is to say I couldnt really find a flavor at all. Hub Punch: Its tasty and not overpoweringly boozed-up. At $38/pitcher, though, youre better off choosing something else unless you like overpaying for fruit juice/lemonade/well liquor. Smores pie: It sort of melted all over the plate and looked like a pile of poo. It tasted pretty good, but it looked really bad after a few people had taken their share.

A small telephone lunch order for pickup was placed 5/18/17 (Chipotle Salad, Shrimp & Crab Sushi and Fish Tacos). The food was just ok. Heres the kicker: When the order was placed we inquired about paying for the order with a credit card over the phone so that the person picking-up the order did not actually have to present the credit card in person. The young lady who took the telephone order said that the credit card had to be presented and could not be given over the phone, which is fine - all establishments are different - although at most restaurants you can pay for a telephone order with a credit card when you place the order. When the ordered was picked up, the person who took the order told the person who picked up the order that she cancelled the order because she thought we did not want the order because we could not pay over the phone, so we had to wait 20 minutes for a new order. I totally understand that things happen, but I feel that the manager, who the lady called to assist us, should have offered something other than an apology for the lady mistakenly cancelling the order that caused us to wait 20 minutes. Oh well, some establishments get that customer service is key while others simply just dont get it. Sad. :(

Great place to meet up with friends who are staying downtown! The menu is pretty much all over the map (literally! Mexican & Japanese etc.) Thats an especially good thing when youve got guests in from out of town who are "stupid hungry" and are terrible at deciding. You can order stuff to satisfy pretty much anyones palate. Definitely gives off a "downtown" vibe that isnt pretentious. I think provides a safe entry point for downtown dining that doesnt overwhelm your friends and family who have lived sheltered lives in the suburbs or rural areas. Lots of recognizable favorites and accessible new items that wont scare people off. Also, its an easy place to spontaneously meet up with friends after work. I usually start here with friends who are in for a conference or meeting. Its a convenient location and we can grab a cab, take the train or walk to other downtown locations. The service is swift and on point so you can generally get in and out once youre seated. Ive been pretty lucky when it comes to getting a seat on weeknights. Its the weekends that tend to include a wait to get a table.

Went here for Valentines day dinner. Service was excellent. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. I had the filet mignon which was cooked perfectly to order. A little bit salty on the outside, but otherwise delicious. My girlfriend was very satisfied with the herb chicken. I ordered the house cocktail (hub punch) took one taste and didnt care for it. The waitress was very polite about taking it back and brought me another drink right away. Had the brownie for dessert. So delicious! Also got the carrot cake to go after seeing so many positive reviews online. The atmosphere was pleasant. Not too loud. Not too bright, but not too dark. My one complaint: we were seated along the back wall and the tables were very close together. It was difficult to get up without bumping into the adjacent diners. Also my girlfriend didnt like that in order to use the restrooms she had to go downstairs.

I know this is a newer restaurant, and with that comes its glitches. We were the first to arrive of our party so we decided to get a drink at the bar first. After I ordered our drinks the bartender asked me for an id. Although flattered I laughed and said, "Are you kidding?" and in return he smiled and said, "Yes, I am." Not cool by my standards. Our table was ready immediately and the hostess was very pleasant. My only other complaint is the service. The food didnt take long once we were able to order it and it was very good. The waitress was very nice, it just took her a long time to come back. We will go back, like I said every new place has glitches, I just wont be visiting the bar first.

Came here on a Saturday night. Had to wait a little bit, but thats expected. I got the Sweet Potato Roll and the Ahi Tuna Poke which were both very good. My friends liked their meals as well. We also got a slice of Carrot Cake on the house since it was our first visit! The cocktail on draft was well crafted and the atmosphere of the place was really fun. The only problem I had with this place was there were maybe 7 bachelorette parties there at the same time? There was a club downstairs so our waitress was explaining its a popular place for that since its a one-stop shop. I would definitely go back, but maybe not on Saturday night, I try to limit my exposure to places that bachelorettes frequent =)

Good food but more of a meet up place for this Lettuce Entertain You restaurant. Many people just meet here to drink more than eat. Ive been here a couple times and had one of the best BLTs Ive ever had with very thick sliced bacon. The next time I went I had mahi mahi tacos and I thought they were pretty good but not spectacular. My wife really like nachos on our first visit here. The second time she said her burger was pretty good but shed like to try something else the next time we go. As usual with a Lettuce restaurant the service was very good and attentive without being all over you. Its an above average spot on the busy restaurant street, Hubbard.

I threw my sisters bachelorette party dinner here Saturday night 8/12. Coordinating the event with Allie&Robyn was so easy and they were attentive to all my questions/concerns. Everything worked out perfectly! Our server was amazing, the food was brought out hot and delicious. It was truly a great time had. We were put on their Sub51 guest list without any trouble and were able to go straight down after dinner. The DJ at sub played awesome music that took us all back to our late 90s / early 00s - basement parties. I give this 5 stars because it truly was just an easy, fun, delicious night all around!
