You people must be expecting fine dining. This place is open 24 hours and the food is cheap and delicious. The menu is huge and the Mexican dishes are surprisingly awesome. I feel that anyone not stuck up or old and cranky will leave G-Nugg full and happy. Oh yes and the burgers are awesome as well. I started my G-Nugg visits when I was either a little boozy or hungover the next day and was only getting breakfast. Then I moved to a place really close to this Diversey location and I have since tried other options i.e. Mex and Burg. I say all starts with no question G-Nugg.

I usually order this same meal at Huck Finn on Archer but since I was hungry and this place was closer I took a chance..........I ordered the 2 pork chop special .....and let me tell u it was special alright.......they gave me some pork something BUT they did not look like porkchops, healthy serving of pancakes and some eggs........in a pinch I guess they will have to do otherwise Ill just wait to eat on the southside where everything looks and tastes like its suppose to.

I got raw eggs. No one said sorry and they didnt do anything. Awful it was dirty and my mom got raw eggs to, they thought it was fine. Dont get eggs. People were rude and our waitress was talking to her friends for fifteen minutes before taking our order and what happened to customer is always right. To top it all off it took 30 minutes to get our food. Horrible service bad quality. And we shouldve gotten the memo it was bad when we saw nobody in the place.

The food is great, the service is great...They treat you kindly with a smile... They feed you good... You have more than you can eat. I bet you can only eat half of your meal. I promise you, you will take half of your meal home.. This is my first time going here and it wont be my last. I recommend The Golden Nugget to everyone that like dinning out. This is the place for you.. Enjoy

First time coming to this place and it was great! Portion sizes are huge! Definitely worth a $10 plate. Beware eating vegan here. It isnt easy, the only available option was a burrito or a taco salad. The rest of the menu is filled with milk based pancakes and waffles, eggs and meats. Other than that, overall it was a great experience and cozy to have family over!

We always ate there .and today and I order waffle n the waffle was so burn that I could not eat it n I complain to the waitress n they said I still had to pay for have of the meal because I that was there policy ,I dont think that was fair or right because I didnt eat it ,VERY POUR SERVICE N I WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN .N THEY LOSE ONE OF THERE BEST CUSTOMERS.

Good food. Good service. Non-pretentious. Good meals without any frills. Its kind of a greasy spoon but when I go there thats what Im looking for. I am a Georgian and this place gives me warm Waffle House vibes. If you think of IHOP when I said that we arent thinking the same thing. But you might still like this folksey feel.

I live within walking distance to the Nug and have sampled it at all hours. The meal that inspired this review was their double cheeseburger. Simple, hand pattied, 2/3 lb, and cooked to perfection. Im gonna sleep like a baby tonight. Service was solid and they had the NL playoff game on while I waited for takeout.

Ordered a plain hamburger and when it was delivered to the table there were traces of cheese as if someone scrapped it off. I alerted the waitress, she proceeded to try and convince me there was no cheese on the burger and walked away with a tall attitude. I will never come back to this establishment again.

I love this place SO much!!! Husband and I have been going here for over 10 years. Know all the staff and owners, after all this time. Excellent service, portions, and selection; every time we have out of town guests on a buffet, we go here. Their malts are huge and from scratch; Mexican dishes rock!!!!

One of the best diners in Chicago. It has a very authentic timeless feeling to it and the service is always spot on! The menu selection is huge and they service breakfast all day long. I always stop in every time I am in Chicago for work. Highly recommend.

Its one of those 24 hour greasy spoons that cater to someone in need of a bite to eat any time of the day. The food is a bit bland, but not terrible by any means. Dont go expecting a life changing experience, but come if everywhere else is closed.

I got the 6.99 breakfast it came with a generous portion of hashbrowns, 2 eggs, 2 sausage and 2 giant pancakes. Loved it. The coffee was good and always full. I am however keeping a star because the bathroom could use some TLC. Open 24...7...

Its a solid breakfast that isnt expensive and is served in large, tasty portions. The menu is typical diner with all you can imagine, bit Id stick to the basics.. Parking is available but its limited and tight. Maybe 8 spaces total.

Being a native Chicagoan, this is the first time I have been to a Golden Nugget Pancake House. Their Irish Eggs Benedict is spot on and delicious. I would recommend this place to many friends in future foodie adventures.

This is most certainly of my go-to spots. They only sell crepes from 8am-1PM. Which is a bummer if you arrive later than that. The entire menu is great for either lunch or dinner. A+ on the remodel btw !

Has a pretty great $7.99 combo Mon-Fri: two eggs, half a plate of homestyle hash browns, two pieces of sausage or bacon and 2 huge pancakes. Its way more food than the menu suggests

The very convenient location and the Food is ok. The servers are really good though and will keep your cup of coffee full, I do wish the coffee was better though
