First off, if I could give this restaurant negative stars, I would. We had a group of seven, and asked if we could get seated in the back. As we were being seated, the owner/manager stopped the hostess, and said that he had a large party that "made reservations" for 5:30. He let us sit and said as long as you are out by 5:30. At 5:13 he came up to us and said that it was our fault that his group was there and that he didnt know where to put them. A family member said that it was not yet 5:30, and the owner said, " Get out of here you bum." I then told the manager, that as a manager it is his job to figure things out, that if it was that big of an issue he should have declined the request to sit in the back room, and asked if we would sit somewhere else. The way this "manager", whom does not deserve the title, handled the whole situation is absolutely nauseating. You are going to call a paying customer a bum, and try to make people sitting, eating food leave. You can get food WAY better than this at many other local restaurants, that will also treat you with RESPECT. I will never step foot in Commander again. By the way, watch out for HAIR IN YOUR FOOD! Disgusting. Unprofessional. Rude. Arrogant.

been here numerous times, & gave a good review on fb after a few good visits. i guess they no longer accept reviews on fb so here i am. its been 3 months sinse i last dined here n was fukn disgusted. my poor boy steak sammich was served on a plate of grease, both bread slices were spongey with grease, & the lettice on plate was dripping with grease also. there was srsly a puddle of bloody grease onda plate. i told the young fat brown haird waitress it was greasy n she walkd away. i told da old dyed black haired manager i think was "mark", dat it was real greasy n showed him da lettice dripping with bloody grease, he apologized n walled away. & i the old poofy haired blonde @ da register it was real greasy. 3 people i told, n not 1 did a godamn thing about it. bill was almost 18$ before tip. never got offerd a new meal, no discount, nothing. its a godamn shame to kuz i was srsly here 2x a week. go many good visits n so many good services from waitresses young & old. only to have the 3 i mentioned completely ruin it for me. told my story 2 friends n all of us will never return

I have come here many times in my life. The food is on the decent side of mediocre, like the standard diner type common in the area. No frills, just food. HOWEVER, the other day I came here with a vegetarian friend who ordered vegetable stirfry. It came with rice and it was unclear if the rice was cooked with chicken broth due to its coloring and flavor (myself and my other friend sampled it, and couldnt tell.) We asked the waitress if it was cooked with chicken broth and she immediately said she had no idea. We then asked if she could ask the kitchen - she then shortly said that the chef "left already," so shed have no way of finding out. WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN? Whos cooking the food?!? Someone has to be staffing the kitchen! We finished our meals without touching the rice further and left. We will be back probably, when desperation strikes. Just make sure you dont have any questions for the kitchen when you go, I guess.

Ive been coming here for years and never had a complaint. You probably wont either, unless God forbid you want to sit on the same side of the booth as your fiancee. just after putting our order in, an elderly man, whom was just talking to the owner, came over to me and told me to sit on the opposite side as my fiancee or leave. Seriously? I chalked it up to some senile old man imposing his values on others, until the owner came over after he left and tried to "explain." his explanation is that they get a lot of teenagers in there causing trouble late at night. it was 1130 AM on a tuesday. I am 28 years old... so what I got out of it was we werent welcome there. No real explanation, no apology - no more repeat business. Good riddance

My wife and I sat down ordered our meal and received it in good timing. I looked at my breakfast and realized there is a hair in it. Gross but it happens. Called the waitress over she was very nice and took it back and ordered a fresh plate. A little while later gives me my meal and I start eating. To my disgust I find another hair! In the second plate!!! The owner was notified and as a business owner the right thing to do at this point is come to the table apologize and not charge a dollar. I was charged for my coffee and my wifes meal. It is not about paying for the meal this is about the lack of care from ownership. Last time I step foot in this place.

Just had the worst experience. Ordered a Gyro and there was about 6 pieces of meat, tons of onions, and no sauce. I called and the woman on the phone was great but the manager in the background was terrible. He was rude, has terrible customer service and if this was my establishment I would be embarrassed to have him as the manager. I asked for the owners name the woman on the phone gave it to me and the rude manager yelled he is not here dont worry about it. The manager then told her to hang up and end the call My family will never eat there again! Worst experience ever!!!!!!

Always eat at Commanders Restaurant for years! They have the BEST lemon rice soup around! The service is good and the menu selection is great! Ive had many different things on the menu and also love to eat their baked mac & cheese on Fridays! Their saganaki is also great, order it almost every time I go there. The environment has changed since it is now smoke free and the place always seems to be packed with people. The pricing is very reasonable also. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to stop by for a quick meal that is reasonably priced.

I love this restaurant there so many different types of food but the first time I went there I looked on the menu and there was so many different things you could pick from a kind of had me confused but its a family business the food is good customer service and I would go back. Ive made this one of my favorite restaurants did frequently go to with my friend if my family came from out of town I would totally take them there..

The food wasnt the worst Ive had, and the service wasnt too bad, but the price associated with the two is the kicker. They even have the nerve to charge two dollars for a miniature cup of coffee. There is much better food and much better service in several spots a couple miles away from this one and at almost half the price. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.
