Let me start off by saying I HATE BARBECUE. Ive never been to a place or eaten homemade barbecue that I can stomach. Barbecue was always something that just disgusted me. Now my boyfriend loves barbecue and its his favorite thing in the world and for a year now hes been begging me to go check out his favorite place with him and I finally caved, and it was the best damn decision of my life. Im absolutely in love with this place. They have the best ribs and Brisket Ive EVER tasted. I refuse to go eat anywhere else. I seriously can NOT stop going back nor do I want to. Not only do they have out of this world food the service there is IMPECCABLE. Ive never gotten better service at a restaurant. This place isnt just a phenomenal barbecue place, its the perfect food joint. This place beats going out to those fancy places like carrabas, ocharleys, or anything. I dont think its pricey AT ALL for the quality AND quantity of food. I was able to get food for THREE on one plate for 15 bucks. Its my absolute favorite restaurant and I cant wait till my next visit. If youre thinking about going there, please do. Your life will be SO much better for it.

I did some research into BBQ places near me and decided to go to this one based on the good reviews. I went in with pretty high expectations. I ordered chicken bbq with two sides (fried okra, and collared greens). The inside of the chicken was still a little cold - seems they simply warmed it up. It wasnt spectacular and there wasnt much to it except a little bit of meat and a lot of bones. The fried okra was okay - not much one can do that mess that up, though there just wasnt much of it. But the collared greens, which I was looking forward to, tasted like they were straight out of a can you can buy at Kroger for $1. I left still a little hungry for the price I paid and disappointed in the taste, quality and quantity. Pros: The atmosphere was pretty nice, though really dead for dinnertime on a Sunday. The three different kinds of BBQ sauces were the best thing there, I thought.

Had the fried mac and cheese. They are actually fried bites which were okay but overpriced also got the brisket sandwich with cheese onions and peppers. the sandwich was bite size pretty much for a kid , on a mini hoagie roll the brisket was chopped in small pieces also overpriced for what little sandwich I had. Ive been to many BBQ places i even enjoy cooking my own but usually a sandwich like i was expecting isnt on some hoagie like in an italian restaurant, its on white or texas toast with hearty slices of brisket selling me on the juiciness and the smoke ring i can see.. thats whats BBQ is all about.

The second time I go there and food was just aweful. Undercooked wings, undercooked fries, nasty mac and cheese. After complaining to waitress nothing was done. I asked for manager and she came in and agreed to give me 25% discount. Then I had to complain about the amount because she could not figure 25% out. Two failed attempts at the bill adjustment...pathetic. She still did not get it right in the end but we were tired of waiting around for 10 minutes for her to figure out every time she had to come back. It was actually like 13% when we were done. Never again....go somewhere else.....anywhere else!

Went to Bub-A-Que on 4/19/12 for the first and last time. A very worn restaurant with poor food. I ordered the combo plate (pork/ribs/chicken @ $18) and it came to my table ice cold. I took (no waitress to be found) my plate back to the kitchen where they very promptly placed it in the microwave for the 2nd time. The meat was already dried and this did nothing to make it any better. All the side come out of a box, been frozen, and other than putting butter on the bread there was nothing that was hand made. I expect the barbeque is smoked in New York and shipped in on a monthly basis.

I have lived in the Atlanta area for 19 years and have been looking for a place that has a North Carolina BBQ sauce. Bub Ba Q has it! And it was to die for! They have many other sauces too, so you can even create your own by mixing. I grew up in the Carolinas and if you are used to the vinegar base BBQ sauce you cant stand the sweet stuff that most resturants have around here. This BBQ is authentic and NOT a cookie cutter BBQ place. Hands down the BEST I have had in the Atlanta area. I see now why they have won so many national awards. My new favorite place to eat!

My family and I have eaten here a few times and its been hit or miss with their ribs and pork. Recently we got both to-go and it was a BIG miss. The ribs were VERY tough, my wife couldnt even pull them apart. They seemed like they had been sitting around for a while and the meat reflected such. You couldnt even bite through the skin, had to pull it off to get to the meet. The pulled pork had the same un-eatable skin chopped up in it. All around disappointing meat and thats a real surprise from an owner who does competition BBQ. Wont be eating there again.

I will absolutely never eat at this restaurant again. This was my third time with subpar service and food and its apparent that the staff doesnt care. Today my Rib and Brisket platter was barely warm when it came out, my Brunswick stew and Macaroni and Cheese felt like they had been off of the warmer since the midday rush. The waitress, who never told us her name but the receipt said Kasey, never stopped back by our table after hastily tossing the food down and running off. If you want good Bar-B-Q go somewhere else.

Me and my partners water had chunks of food and grit floating in it. From my 5 years working in the restaurant business there is one thing thats is true: If the water and cups are dirty RUN! Dirty cups and utensil show a lack of overall cleanliness that guarantees everything else is dirty. If they cant clean the cups you drink from, what makes you think they can serve you healthy, clean food? I was thoroughly disgusted and refused to pay and left. Avoid!

Service has gone down hill, vet sad. Tried to dine in for lunch TODAY. stood at the seating station for longer than 5 minutes being ignored. I was told someone would be with me. Minutes passed and nothing so I left not eating lunch here. Customer service used to be a lot stronger. If you are short handed please hire additional help. People on their lunch hour cant spend five or more minutes waiting to be seated.

The wife and I have forsaken all other BBQ joints for this place. We have been eating here for years and have only had a couple of less than great experiences. Tonight we arrived just before closing and we were treated wonderfully by the waitstaff got the usual excellent fresh , hot pulled pork and brisket & our vegetables tasted like they were fresh picked and cooked by my mom. We love the place.
