The "BBQ" chicken, completely wet and pale, moist, but over-cooked. Outside had mushy fatty skin, no real rub or spice noteworthy on outside. It looks like it was boiled then stuck in a foam box. Please either make your BBQ labeled meats appetizing or take it off the menu. Wet cooked chicken with mushy skin and instructing to add the BBQ sauce to cover the mushy tasteless meat, does not make it BBQ. The "BBQ" sauce on the side supposed to go with the chicken, tried both hot and mild. Not really not that great. Reminds me of mixture of off ketchup and Chinese take out sweet and sour. Lacking any smoke or spice. Mac and cheese was velveta-esque tasting. Nothing memorable. Small serving for size medium. Fried okra. This was done fine. Maybe I should have ordered pork selection, probably wont have reason come back to try it out after this horrible experience. This was an honest waste of nearly $20.

I ordered a meduim rib tip with a meduim side of greens and a meduim side of mac and cheese. I paid almost 20 dollars but to be fair they are very generous with the rib tips. However, the greens tasted like they were straight out of a can and had no flavor. The mac and cheese wasnt baked and was very runny with clumps of cheese. It also had no flavor and I was extremely disappointed. I could not finish my sides because they were so bland and just not good. I threw them away and just ate the rib tips. The tips were okay but they were a little over cooked. Not as tender as I like but they didnt taste bad. The hot bbq sauce was really good. However, I dont think I will be back.

This is a good but not great local place to go pick up and take out on a Friday to enjoy at home. They have reasonably quick service and are friendly. Try the rib tips, the ribs and the friend tilapia or whiting. Like many of the BBQ places the sides are underwhelming so you may want to make other plans for sides for anything other than french fries. If the lady is there selling sweet potato pies do yourself a favor and get a slice...then youll wish you had bought the whole pie! Shes usually there on Fridays. Best to go when this place is busy. On slower days my items have been room temperature or colder. We go regularly on weekends.

Im not giving this rating any stars...because the service was alil awful. I call in my order the lady said it would be about 20mins. I arrive 30mins after I called food wasnt ready. Sat there additional 45 mins waiting for my. My order and several others were brought out and placed on the counter. And no one bothered to call out our order numbers for another 15mins. Three staff members were attending the counter and walking around doing other things in the restaurant....I was very displeased.

The food is good the service is horrible. Horrible service will kill your business. Who ever the lady is who takes the orders needs to work in a factory! Shes really short with people, she not helpful, doesnt make suggestions, lets your food sit for 10 mins before you get it, and takes her precious time getting people in and out the door. Hopefully you will find someone that compliments your business and not hurt. I have read review on other sites with the same complaints! Fix it sir!

Best rib tips ever! I have had bbq in Georgia, Tennessee, and Kentucky and still havent found anything better. My aunt use to take us there when I was younger, back when they were further down on Hamilton Ave. We still continue to go. I drive all the way from fairfield. Love this place.

Went to goidie on the 18Th of august now normally the beef ribs are so good dont mind paying 22.75 but yesterday these ribs were like they were boilled to death then put on grill so mushy still have two. I usually eat them all. disgusted with my favorite restaurant right now.

Whole slab of beef ribs were fantastic. Mac & cheese was delicious along with the red beans & rice. Sweet cornbread was moist and very good as well. Service was quick and super friendly. Definitely a great neighborhood BBQ place Id recommend to family and friends.

If you have never been there I suggest you schedule dinner or lunch at your earliest opportunity. Better yet every 1st. Sunday is an all you can eat buffet. Next buffet, Sunday, February, 7th., 2016, Ill be there. Great food, friendly staff and family atmosphere.

My sister bought some ribs Saturday. She almost didnt buy any, but when she stepped into the place she said, "I gotta have some of their ribs". We took them home and smashed the heck outta them. Juicy as hell and so tender too.

Very Good! We got whole slab of ribs and had plenty to take home. My favorite side was rheir greens.... seasoned just right! The Hog on a bun was delish! Great atmosphere and very clean, the southern hospitality was great.

You can smell it before you see it. As far as taste the rib tips could be more tender. The fries were hot, long, and fat! The Turkey burger could have been a little more juicy. But, all in all it was eatable.

Pulled pork was great! Food and staff have character. Meats cooked on charcoal with wood chips, super flavor. Alcohol and a blues band would get this place 5 stars and me as a permanent fixture.
