The service attitude is sometimes questionable because it makes diners feel uncomfortabl. One time, I was in a rush, bumped into friends and asked to eat my takeout bento inside the restaurant. It seemed okay at first, then when checkout the owner murmured to me that its doing me a huge favor that next time I can only dine in when I said so... It makes you feel disrespected because Ive inquired first and wasnt ill-minded... Things like these make this unforgettable beyond its relatively delicious Chinese food you can get in downtown Ann Arbor.

The Asian dude that works there is a psycho, I was waiting for my friend to order some food and had asked to use the bathroom. I took the menu with me to the bathroom, I didnt like anything on it so I tossed in the garbage. I go outside to wait in my car for my friend to arrive and the guy comes out to my car and starts flipping out, swearing, furious, screaming at me saying not to throw his menu out. Definitely did not go there that day and will never go again. The quality of food is irrelevant if the service is this bad. Wow.

While the outside restaurant sign mentions Schezwan, this is very much a Taiwan style restaurant. My wife, from Taiwan, says anyone from Taiwan would feel very much at home eating there. The crowd when we stopped was almost 100% Asian, which says much for this place. If youre not used to ordering and eating in Taiwan, this can be a bit overwhelming, but if youre looking for authentic Taiwan cuisine, you cant beat it here.

三杯鸭味道很正,菜的分量也足。老板很体贴,看我们是男生给的饭比女生多一些,哈哈,谢谢! Authentic Kejia 客家 taste restaurant and services are good!

What Ann Arbor really needs is a Han Dynasty or Lao Sze chuan style restaurant. It would make a killing in Ann Arbor. Unfortunately, AA doesnt have such a restaurant and ur stuck with Asian Legend. Because of the dearth of good Chinese food, this 3 star restaurant gets bumped to 4 stars. Also they have decent service. Try the Shao rou fan, its pretty good.

Very disappointing. The crab rangoons seemed to have no crab in them and tasted nothing like the usual crab rangoons Ive had at other chinese restaurants. The lo mein was nothing special (and too salty) and the szechuan beef didnt have much beef. Maybe other things here are better but I wasnt impressed.

Kung Pao Chicken was decent, would have been better if they got my take out order right and put the right rice in it. Felt rushed on the phone when placing the order at a slow time of the day. Got there and the lady at the counter was more interested in talking to another girl then the customer.

some dishes are pretty good. you can consider them are the best among other restaurants who also provide these dishes. You dont have too many choices for Chinese food. The hidden dragon in Ypsilanti is better and cheaper, but it is too far away from campus.

We ordered Tiawanese... came quick and fairly good/authentic. Tea was served cold...and replaced with hot when we asked. She didnt switch the cup full of cold tea though. pop music on radio... Servings were on the small side. Asian people eat here.

Great food, authentic Chinese cusine, friendly staff who were very much aware of my needs like provide fork instead of chopsticks as I dont know how to eat with them. Cleanliness was great and food served was delicious, will go over and over again. :)

Pretty good food, general tso was spicy! Normally at any other restraunt it isnt very spicy but this was good. tried bubble tea for the first time here and I liked it. Would go back. Only thing was it took a few before our order got taken.

Prices reasonable. Food is delicious. Only downside is the smaller staff tends to get a bit overwhelmed during peak hours. A good place to go if you can spare some time to sit down and enjoy a multiple course meal with friends.

My favorite Chinese restaurant in Ann Arbor! Chinese restaurants usually make their food a little greasy, but the food here is definitely not. I would say, it is on the healthier side of the Chinese food spectrum.

The lunch menu is nothing special, but the Taiwanese dishes are very tasty. The service is always efficient. The lunch specials are very reasonably priced, but the good stuff is considerably more expensive.

This is my favorite restaurant in Ann Arbor. The Taiwanese menu has some things I havent been able to find anywhere else. I strongly recommend the minced pork with preserved egg and chives.

I was there with a group of people. The food was awful, nearly uneatable. Service was awful. I had to ask four times for water before I got it. Look for a better Asian restaurant.

My go-to for Chinese food. Love their mapo tofu pork/bamboo dish. The watercress dish was also very tasty. Asian Legend is generally empty with fairly quick service.

Good Chinese food. They play soft Chinese music which creates a relaxing atmosphere. The staff are friendly. I come often here to have the lunch special.

Tasty food, lots of Taiwanese specialities, great for family style dining, but also good lunch specials. Owners are there most days hosting and cooking.

Probably the most visited Chinese restaurant in Ann Arbor downtown area. Food does not taste authentic but fair enough. Service is one of the best.

Food was very good but it can spare some cooking oil. Get the Lychee slush. Would recommend and would come back.

Best Chinese in town. Do the onion pancake and the eggplant with pork and basil. Crispy duck is fantastic, too.
