Absolute worst service ever. Terrible food. Waitress was incredibly rude after bringing me eggs Benedict wig brown gravy instead of hollandaise. When I told her about it, she told me it was "they way thy made it." Really??? Brown hollandaise. It was gravy!!!! This woman should not be waiting tables. Disgraceful. She acted like I was being so out of line for telling her I didnt want to eat it. I showed her a picture of what hollandaise looks like and she said, "well ours is darker than that." I explained that I have appreciated it if she simply took the order back and made it correctly than to defend what was clearly not hollandaise on my eggs. She then said, "oh, I wouldnt take it back, I didnt make it." What??? Seriously, I have come here so many times and the food was great with good service. As a former waiter, I was trying to be patient, but this server needs a new career - and if the kitchen thinks hollandaise should be brown, it needs retraining.

This is the worst diner I have ever been to. Everything on the menu is overpriced, the appetizers came out so overcooked that they were black and dry, and the milkshakes came in a small cup with nothing extra on the side. After eating, when I asked the owner to split the bill, he pointed to the menu and said he could not. Then when I told him about the meals shortcomings, he wouldnt look at me and shrugged his shoulders. When I told him I would not be returning, and he responded by saying good riddance and telling me how long hes been in the restaurant business. This is the first review I have ever made - PLEASE SPARE YOURSELF AND DO NOT EAT HERE!

The food is always horrible. Service is commonly lacking, as coffee and water rarely get refilled even upon request. Great location with parking but I dont know why the cooks or owners put up with such bad food and obviously old ingredients. Potatoes taste bad and flavorless, hot sauce doesnt even cover it. Eggs seem to be poured from a carton. I kept going back expecting the food to average out but it never did. Often the breakfast dishes are served COLD. And yes, I find it peculiar you have to order (and pay for) cheese since its not in most omlettes.

It has been a while since I have been to the Malibu since I moved out of the area. This past weekend I was visiting friends and we all decided on the Malibu for dinner. The food and service was on point just as I remembered it. Prices are very reasonable as well. And you cant forget about the alcohol. Nothing like having a scotch with dinner! The renovations were a nice tasteful touch as well. We decided this will be our "spot" whenever Im in the area.

You definitely get big bang for your buck. I got the daily special and it included enough food for a well-portioned take home box, salad, coffee, and dessert. It also came with a glass of wine but I didnt get it. The food tasted great as well. The service was more than excellent. I dont know her name but the blonde was super friendly and attentive. I would give it five stars but the interior is a little run down. And hey, free parking!

I tried this place once, and only once, after moving to town nearby. We had a very bad experience. Food was terrible to the point of being inedible, service was even more terrible, and I ended up in the bathroom all day after. We asked the manager at the front desk what was up and why we had such a bad experience and he essentially just shrugged his shoulders. A shame that this place is so bad given its location.

I went there 3 times, food is so so. the first time the owner sow me having breakfast and working with my computer and he told me he need the table, very rude. I thought is not his day....may be he have some problem. - 2nd time same story - 3rd time waiters very rude... - this is not a place that i can suggest. food is not great . there are a lot of place in Hoboken , find a different one.

Today we found a bug in our food and unfortunately the diner did nothing about it. The manager on duty said he did not see it even though the waitress did. And we also got food poisoning from the food today and were in the bathroom for the rest of the day. We will definitely not be coming back here ever. Bad food and bad customer service. Save your money.

This was just what I needed after a long night partying. Good service and it was quick! You have to ask for cheese in your omelette, which is strange. The corned beef hash did not look like it was made fresh and the potatoes looked like they could use a little more char on the outside. Otherwise, great place to chill with friends.

Really solid diner food. And its open 24 hours! It has that old school diner feel with a pie case, the booths and mirrored accents. The food was not particularly tasty but you can get whatever type of food you want any time of day and its served fast and warm. Nice choices for toast and nice thick, soft slices of bread.

This is an average NJ diner. The food is neither good nor bad. They are open pretty late (if not 24 hours), so you can always get some food after a night of drinking. It is good when there is nothing else open and you really need some food. But I wouldnt seek this place out when I have many other options.

For 9.00 a Tasteless broccoli omelette with an over amount of tasteless homefries to make it worse, couldve gotten a delicious steak sandwich from biggies downtown for less if it were open this early, last tome im a fool to pay their prices..im a 49 yrs hobokenite just for the record

I ordered two burgers well done to go. When I got home, the meat was pink and raw. When I called back, the girl on the phone was rude and called me lazy for not wanting to walk back for a replacement. I asked for a refund and she continued to taunt me. Worst service ever.

Every town in Jersey has at least one diner and this is uptown Hobokens. Its open 24x7, the menu is enormous and the food is consistently pretty good no matter what time of day. Not much more you could ask for from the place.

Its such a classic diner. Malibu Diner has all the breakfast and typical bar food you would expect plus much more. Every couple months or so, our car club drives up from Maryland and we make this one of our mandatory stops.

A good diner to visit if you are in Hoboken or the surrounding area. One of the few eateries in Hoboken to actually offer onsite parking. My favorite dish there is the pastrami Reuben. Great atmosphere!
