As many food critics stress, the hallmark of a good restaurant is consistency and management concern as to clientele satisfaction. Not so with Fish Thyme. A few days ago, on the occasion of a combined birthday and anniversary, I made a dinner reservation. I informed the restaurant as to the special occasion. We had dined at this restaurant a number of times, the food was slightly above average that is for a local Georgia restaurant. This evening was a dinning disappointment. We ordered PEI Mussels as an appetizer. Mistake number one. The mussels tasted one step removed from being rancid. The waitress was informed and the dish was returned. In virtually all restaurants, when a dish is returned as unsatisfactory, the kitchen or restaurant manager will visit the table to find out what the problem was. This did not happen at Fish Thyme. Not even a whimper from management. The waitress had more common sense than management, she apologized. For the main course we ordered what the menu called large sautéed soft shell crabs and a grilled trout. Next surprise, the so called large crabs were no larger than an undersized small crab. We asked the waitress to check with the kitchen, perhaps there was a mistake. She did and informed us that the soft shell crabs were as listed on the menu. Someone should learn how to measure. Again, no response from management or the kitchen. The trout was no more than average in taste. As for recognition of a special occasion, there was none. I can assure you that we will never dine again at Fish Thyme. Save your, money there are many other restaurants in the Atlanta area that would welcome you and care about the quality of their menu offerings.

Update - Dec 19, 2014. Our 2nd time at Fish Thyme in Acworth, GA was like out 1st, outstanding! Along with ordering a few appetizer items we had in the past, I opted for the large Ahi Tuna for dinner, and it was delicious! The serving size very large, and the fish was very fresh. Te hardest part was picking just one item off the menu. Everything sounds amazing. Oh, and the fried shrimp off the kids menu...WOW! These were hand battered prawns and were a meal to themselves. I love non-chocolate desserts and they didnt have the peach bread pudding this time, but they had a vanilla bourbon pudding; it was insanely delicious! To Fish Thyme, keep it up! I have to add this to all the peeps out there, if youve been looking for a "great" restaurant in the NW burbs, stop asking SIRI where to go. This is it. This is the real deal. I suggest you make a reservation too. We stumbled across Fish Thyme as I was craving seafood and we were happily surprised by this find. My wife and I ordered 6 different items off the menu, sharing the dishes, and WOW...this place has a real chef that takes great pride in the quality, preparation, and presentation of his foods. We loved everything. The lobster bisque, raw oysters, parm-french fries, lobster roll, etc., etc. Oh, and the peach bread pudding, are you kidding me...it was insanely delicious. They also have pit stop next to Fish Thyme called "Juice" where you can order drinks, apps, and desserts while you wait for your table when Fish Thyme has a waiting list. Great concept. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Fish Thyme staff are friendly and professional. Greet at the door and remember you by first name. The level of service is always and has continued to be 5. Star! I wouldnt be surprised if they already have been rated a michelin restaurant. The service is always up to parr. The owers are always there to greet you like youre family coming for dinner. The ambiance and decor is so inviting and welcoming. Even the restroom is always clean. The food and drinks are to die for! I am impressed ever time I visit. I would recommend everyone to go and take in the entire experience. Its a all seafood restaurant and you will never smell any unsavory smells. Its a family friendly but very grown and sexy. Its a perfect place for date night, to brunch with your bff and its ideal place to celebrate any milestone one may celebrate. I cant skip a month without going, in fact go at least twice a month sometimes more. If reading this, you should be heading there now. Goooooooood get going and sure to leave your review of your experience. I a sure you, you go again and again. Now get. Enjoy!

Restaurant perfection. Everything I look for in dining experience. Ambience. Interior and exterior design. Unique. Cozy. Refined. Comforting. Rustic. Chique. Elegant. We sat on the patio. Warm soothing low lights. The fire pit lit at the round table. Lounge chairs to snuggle in after your meal. The food? Beyond exceptional. From our fried green tomatoes with rich goat cheese, to my ribeye marinated with soy, teriyaki and unique Asian sweet&smoky flavor. Perfectly carmelized and well marbled. Tender as a filet mignon. The parmesan truffle fries and the bacon spinach was a perfect pairing. Our desert was the chocolate mousse cake and beyond compare. Pure ecstasy. Hannah was our server we loved her! We met some of the friendliest, most laid back fellow diners on the patio. Afterwards strolled through their terraced farm to table garden. Both the country girl and the classy city lady in me were equally satisfied with the entire experience. Worth every penny! I will be a regular here despite the hour and a half drive.

We looked forward to our visit for a long time...have loved this restaurant, loved the food, the atmosphere and the service..but...last night was awful....the service, well we really thought our server was just filling the water glasses...he had no knowledge of the food, was inattentive, and shouldnt have been on the floor....my wifes entre was delish....mine was awful...Im a La native....I know blackened redfish...Ive had it before here...this was lightly seasoned, and never ever saw a hot skillet...it was translucent...uncooked, and inedible...our server said " well I could have them try to cook it some more", after it was broken apart to show him how uncooked it was...My advice...dont order it again....unless someone knows how to cook it at least...bad bad experience..ruined a great night out...my last straw was a watered martini...obviously had been sitting in the shaker for a while....I left my 11 buck tini sitting on the table...Fish Thyme you blew it for me...

Went here for dinner with my Vegetarian husband and at first was worried that there wasnt really anything substantial on the menu for him to eat but was delightfully proven wrong. This ended up being one of the best meals we have both eaten in a very long time. Everything was cooked perfectly, and the flavours were bold but beautifully balanced in everything we tried. My husband ended up going with the "half" grilled Caesar salad (which was GIGANTIC and only $7!!!!) and he said it was delicious. We both shared the bruschetta as an appetiser and it was probably the best bruschetta Ive had in a while, perfect flavour balance with a nice slightly salty mozzarella and a rich balsamic! I got the grilled trout and kale salad as my side, both of which were also amazing. In the end our entire bill only came out to a total of $37 for our meal! We dont living locally but are already planning our next trip back to the area just so we can eat here again!

CHECK YOUR TOGO ORDERS! Spent $40 on 3 alligator starters! Everyone of their sauces did not have a lid so all of them were soaked when I got them home. We eat them with aioli sauce so to me I basically wasted $40 tonight with togo tip! I called to let them know to keep an eye on that and essentially got an okay thanks. I even tip on togo orders so was a little upset at the response. So far my only complaint though pricey and wasteful on my part. It lost em a review star but again is the only problem Ive had there. Food and service is excellent!!! Prove me wrong! I love the people and the food. Thank God, finally a great food place near me. Alligator without having to drive all the way to Pappadeaux. Im drooling now, shouldnt have done a review while waiting for my wife to get off work, lol.
