Current 3.9 review is TOO HIGH on Google. Take a look at Yelp. Heres my 2017 review: 2 Stars. This older and "dated" family friendly seafood spot feels like a chain. Very ordinary food and decor. One full notch below a Red Lobster, but serviceable if you consider Red Lobster to be "fine dining." Lots of fried, deep fried, baked, but rather ordinary seafood. Lacks enough upscale grilled items, it has no bar and very ordinary drink options. The good news is they have "cheap, cheap" $5 a glass wine--the BAD news is its BAD wine that they probably paid $4 for the whole bottle. (headache alert). The nearby Marietta Fish Market is a notch better with a better menu, better decor (aquarium), a real bar, an actual wine and drink list and more grilled seafood options. There is nothing wrong with Bay Breeze. Its like a table-service version of Captain Ds if that is your style. Best seafood in town (albeit pricey) is at CHOPS Lobster Bar. Followed by The Optimist in Midtown. More mainstream is Atlanta Fish Market (still nice), Lure or Pappadeaux (mainstream, but great spicy New Orleans seafood). Also, good moderate-priced is Legal Seafood. Another modern seafood with higher-end options is St. Cecilia in Buckhead. Lots of seafood in Atlanta. But if Bay Breeze is around the corner and you dont care that much about high quality, good, beverages, good wine or upscale decor, maybe this will work for you. It did not work for us. Read other (similar) reviews. Positive note: Kid-Friendly. Bring them all.

My sister always said great things about this place but we were not impressed. We went there for lunch while our car was being serviced. The interior is very casual and good for families with small children. The menu is extensive and offers a lot of combination offers. My husband ordered the clam chowder but it tasted like potato soup. For our main dish, my husband had a platter with chicken fingers, clam strips and fried tilapia. I ordered the platter with broilled scallops, fried butterfly shrimp and broiled salmon. My husbands chicken fingers were TINY, my scallops were covered in Old Bay so much so that I couldnt taste the actual seafood. I ended up giving those to my husband. The worst of it was my broiled salmon. I am a huge salmon fan and was really looking forward to what a seafood restaurant had to offer. The salmon I received was a steak cut vs filet, was very fishy tasting (almost like a mackerel) and was TOTALLY white! There was no hint of a pink color. I asked the waitress to confirm and she said it was indeed salmon. I had that sent back as my iron tank stomach husband wouldnt even eat it. I would not recommend anything outside of standard fried seafood here. Its not fresh and at that point it all tastes the same.

I passed this place numerous times on my way to Marietta Fish Market on Canton Road. I am pleased that I finally made a last minute decision to stop there. Although my entrée and salad were pretty good, I fell in love with the fried mushrooms. The mushrooms were a really good deal ($5.99) for a huge platter. I especially loved the fact that they came out very hot, which made them even better. I was somewhat disappointed that they did not have a full bar. Last, the dessert was pretty good. I had the chocolate mousse dessert that looked like a cute little mouse with whiskers....lol....otherwise the dessert section was rather small but I enjoyed my chocolate mousey... I will definitely go again, found it to be a little less expensive than Marietta Fish Market but not quite as tasty, but it was definitely good enough to go back, which I intend to.

Very unorganized with table seating. The kids mac n cheese is a 99 cent box of "Kraft" for 5.99!! The server confirmed that it was Kraft when I asked. That was something I could have whipped up in 5 minutes as a snack at home. The fish flavor was good I got the Alaskan whiting but the filet was skimpy skinny and dry like it was over cooked. The only thing that will bring me back is the sweet tea and the fried jumbo shrimp. My friend had gotten the tilapia baked and it was bland and dry. Captain Ds has better hush puppies FYI. Also even more disappointed at the fact that we drove from Lilburn, GA to Marietta for this basic and bland food.

We had the food delivered to the house. 3 order at dinner time and the delivery was on time. The Food was so good mouth watering flavor. EXCELLENT!! The portions were a lot. You could taste, the freshness of the salads and deserts SUPERB!!! And served HOT!! Just as if we were right there dinning in. If you have not been to this restaurant, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!!! Go and check it out. dine in or delivery you wont be disappointed. Also a great staff that care about giving you great service. FIVE STARS!!!

Nothing special whatsoever. Service terrible. Waitress, Ashlyn, never came back to check on our meal or say anything personable when we arrived or left. We each got the Captains Platter. Hush Puppies soaked in oil. Tasteless white fish and flounder. I can get much better at Captain Ds. Only thing you could taste in the deviled crab cake was green bell pepper. Positives: Decor, clean, cold beer, sweet tea. My money is too hard earned to spend it there again.

Lovely atmosphere, great music, the food was absolutely delicious and the customer service from our server was outstanding, a gentleman I believe his name was Tyris or something like that, the drinks were not well mixed at all and & the bartender took forever to make them we actually got our meals like 10 mins before our drinks came from the bar, and the table next to us were making the exact same complaint, & they had a different server

The food is good for a average seafood place. However, my server Stephanie was not good. My mother who was with me at the time we ate wanted her cake along with her dinner my server forgot to bring it. Then I ordered a side of hush puppies. She did not explain to me that it was going to be additional. All an all, my server could have been better her attitude needed some work.

I absolutely love this place. Its not a high-end restaurant, but the food is great. I always go there with my best friend and we get the same meal. Granted, all of the food we get is fried, but its a nice getaway once a month. Every once in a while you just need some girl time over fried food and fanta orange! The staff is always super friendly. I fully enjoy my time there.

This is one of the best places in Marietta to have a really good and affordable seafood dinner. The fish is always fresh and the portions are excellent for the value. Great place for calabash style shrimp as well. Having grown up around the calabash area in south Carolina, I know the difference between good and bad calabash style seafood. This place is excellent

This place was recommended by a friend, so we tried it. If you want huge portions of generic fried seafood, this is for you. We opted for broiled salmon, grouper, scallops and snapper. It was uniformly overcooked and dry. The house salad was uninspired Their signature "hush puppies" were some sort of bead mixture formed into onion ring shapes-not recommended.
