This is a new place, hence me being the first review. I wasnt expecting much when I went here for the first time, and that is a good thing. They have their "Grand Opening" banner on the sign out front, so you know it is new. The inside is sparce to say the least. There are some tables and chairs, and thats about it. The doors leading into the place are confusing since you walk up to what looks like the main door, but turns out to be locked. Kinda weird, but its a new place. On to the food: The prices are pretty high compared to a lot of the other seafood restaurants around. Marietta Fish Market comes to mind, and I would say that this place is a little more expensive for way less food. The taste is nothing to write home about. I would definitely go somewhere else if you want some unique taste, which is really lacking over the whole menu at Pier 213. On the whole, it is really bland. I really wanted the food to be flavorful and delicious (since it is right by me), but it was really disappointing. Everything on the fried part of the menu tastes the same. The steamed menu needs some more flavor, since the seafood definitely isnt fresh (based upon the taste). The craziest part is the lack of fish and chips. A number of my friends went here, and we are all confused by the lack of a traditional fish (cod) and chips. I guess we arent missing much, since it would probably taste the same as everything else thats fried anyways. It is almost like they were so busy making a huge menu, that they forgot about the basics of seafood taste. The sides listed sound great, but are just poorly executed. The red potatoes look and taste an awful lot like new potatoes, the hush puppies were really dense, and the fries were actually great (really surprising here). In fact, the fries were seasoned and cooked perfectly. What a random thing to get 100% correct! I would honestly order fries and stay away from the rest of the menu until they get a few months of reviews under their belt. Bottom Line: I probably wont go here again, unless the menu gets a complete overhaul and they stick to a more traditional fare. They need some more unique flavors that really jump out at you instead of keeping it all bland.

I dont understand the negative reviews. This place is amazing and my husband and I come here all the time. I have not had the same dish twice and everything is delicious. I highly recommend asking for a side of sriracha aioli sauce with anything you order. Its delicious. But this food does not need condiments to make it taste great. The crab cakes are divine, tender and flavorful. The calamari is always great as we do order those things as our appetizers when we go. Ive had the shrimp tacos, the jambalaya, the grilled chicken sandwich, the gumbo and more and as for sides Ive had corn on the cob, fries and the green beans. Everything is always delicious, well cooked and perfectly seasoned. The service is always great. And the sweet tea is perfect every time. Oh and did I mention the key lime pie?!!! THIS is THE best key lime pie I have ever had. And I have had a lot of it in my lifetime. It is my favorite type of pie and I am not easy to please. I like my key lime pie a bit more tart than sweet and this one is the perfect ratio of tart and sweet. Im going to ask my husband if we can please stop by tonight because writing this review is making me have withdrawals. I am addicted to this place!!

The service was great but the food was not anything to brag about. My family and I visited on Halloween and the waitress/host was super sweet, attentive, and fun to talk to. The appetizers were just okay. I ordered the shrimp and grits and it was gross. The grits were lumpy and hard. Around the grits was water or sauce and it was just very unpleasant tasting all together. My waitress was super sweet and understanding and allowed me to re-order and I got fried shrimp, with dirty rice and mixed veggies for sides. The shrimp was awesome but the dirty rice was super dry and had no flavor at all and the veggies were okay the peppercorn made it hard to eat. My husband also said his food was just okay.

Long drive....starving.... refuse to eat junk food!!! Yelped it....oooo po boy sandwiches in Marietta!! Simply...a good food experience. The gent taking my order wrote nothing down, but got everything right....even his beer suggestion was spot on. I had an oyster po boy, hush puppies, and the jambalaya....which i never tried before in my life. ALL were very very good!! I ate the jambalaya for like 3 days after!! Fresh, spicy, light....just perfect. And who knew this hush puppy stuff was so good!! light witha crunchy outside..perfect!....and I got a crab cake slider....GET IT! I make my own crab cakes.... and this passes my discerning palates quality bar.....and is good! Bravo!

We walked in and requested to sit outside. The table had water all over it so we asked them to wipe it off for us. They gladly did so, and apologized about it. We sat and waited, but was not even given drinks. The couple that came in after us were given waters and asked what theyd like to drink right away. We waited for a little while, and no one even looked our way. The waiter practically avoided even making eye contact with our table so we got up and left. We were really looking forward to trying this place because there is no good seafood places in the local area, but poor customer service is something wed rather not deal with. It was a cute place though.

Tried this place on a whim after hearing of an hour long wait at another seafood restaurant. And boy I tell you, this place was AMAZING!! From start to finish, the service was exceptional and the food was delightful. My glass was never empty and the waitress was beyond polite and knowledgeable. We had the crab cakes appetizers, the seared salmon with lemon caper butter and the shrimp and grits. Everything was cooked to perfection and the seafood taste so fresh. The chef/owner even stopped by our table and had nice little convo. I would definitely recommend this place. It made for a great date night.

The crab cake sandwiches we had were very good although we both would have enjoyed a little more remoulade sauce on them. Hopefully the owners will realize there is a disconnect between serving high-quality, fresh seafood accompanied by prepackaged items such as hush puppies. A homemade hush puppy would be more appropriate. Also, we shared some Cole slaw that needed work. It was bland. Hopefully the owners will see these comments as constructive and take appropriate steps to make their place even better. Its the little things that make a "good" place "great". Well be back and well bring friends.

We tried this place for lunch. Food is awesome: Crab Cakes: Excellent, the serving size per cake is large, much larger than I am used to. I also like how crispy the edges are. Gumbo: Really freaking good. I would put it at about the best gumbo youre going to find outside N.O. Oyster Po Boy: Huge portion, great sandwich. Everything about this sandwich was very well done Dirty Rice: Again, they nailed it. Softshell crab: Very well done again. All of the food was well seasoned and mad plenty of spice. I didnt add anything to the food in the way of salt or anything, it was perfect as served.
