We ordered a empanda party platter, my wife, who is Hispanic, placed the order, she was told in English and Spanish that they had beef, chicken, and cheese empanadas, we asked for a beef and cheese platter..and I heard my wife confirm the order TWICE. At the party we noticed that some of the empanda were chicken..at first I thought a few got in by mistake...but after checking all of them there were no cheese empanadas..only beef and chicken, (there is no way to tell wich is wich without cutting them open) I called the store, the person I spoke to said he never knew that they had cheese empanadas, and we would have to talk to the supervisor who was not in at the moment, but would call me back later that day, he never called. My wife called the next day and got the same story, and was told a supervisor would call her back..they never did. Needless to say very poor customer service..we will not be going back there again and make sure our friends and family dont either.

Decent food but will never buy from here again. I had asked for a rice, bean, plaintain, and sandwich combo meal for $6.99, but without the sandwich. I paid the full $6.99 and received a unsatisfying amount of food per the amount I paid.I received what appeared to be about a cup of rice, a quarter cup of plaintains and beans. Thats really a very small amount for $6.99. It would have been nice to be discounted or maybe just given more of the food that I had asked for, which was the rice, beans, and plaintains. Additionally, my friend had asked for a turkey sandwich on wheat. Yet, he received a turkey sandwich on white bread. Not to mention, we waited for an abnormal amount of time for a sandwich to be made and could clearly see one of the employees taking his time making the sandwich. The food was fairly good, but just not enough for the amount I paid and very unsatisfying customer service.

My father placed an order for a huge tres leche cake with freshly sliced fruits on top and it was a whopping 130$ for the order. It was a birthday cake for myself and my sister that was ordered for the following day and it was done on time but the problem was that the cake was completely disgusting to eat. It was a beautiful cake but it was not edible whatsoever. It was packed with enormous amounts of sugar, whipped cream, and fruit out a can and it was not pleasant. My guests all threw away any cake they got and i did not want to eat any of it so now we have about 75% of the cake just sitting in the fridge taking up space. We also picked up an assorted box of small pastries and they were really bad flavors and hard to eat. I would not recommend this to place for such a huge event. Im thoroughly disappointed because it was a high price for not good quality of a cake.

BETTER ELSEWHERE = My Don Pan faith hasn’t been dashed completely—just at this location. I’ve definitely had good Don Pan goods before (like their Cuban Sandwiches and Arepas) but they’ve always been brought by friends so I can’t tell which of Don Pan’s locations they came from. Based on reviews it seems the South Tampa one is the least favored… and I can see why. BAKED GOODS LEFT OUT = I purchased several of the bakery items behind the glass counter. Items like the Cinnamon Roll and Guava Pastry had that plastic-y, stale, left out texture and taste. The Cheesecake too—except this time a few bites revealed hints of a ‘grassy’ flavor I couldn’t place. Even the Tres Leches was just barely okay.

I would strongly advise staying away from this place. Not only is it extremely unsanitary, but the attitudes that the employees exude, especially to no Spanish speaking customers, is astoundingly rude and condescending. Personally, I would recommend la Teresita or Brocatos over this inferior place. At la Teresita or brocatos not only will you experience much more superior food. You will also experience a broader pallet served to you with a much more positive attitude.

Even though we had a bad experience earlier with someone elses event , we thought to get a cake for baby shower from here thinking there might have been some miss-communication earlier. But as they say some things never change, they have ruined the cake design and our baby shower event as we were so embarrass with cake design. It was really not what we have ordered. I will never again go for any more embarrassment and would not suggest/refer to anyone.

Bad Business! We ordered a grill cheese with mayo. They lady didnt think to tell us they were out of american cheese so she gave us cuban toast with swiss cheese and butter. We told her it was with mayo so she then gave us a cup full of mayonnaise with a spoon to put on the grilled cheese. Wtf. We also asked for a to go box, the lady gave us a waxed paper to roll up the food in it. Never coming here again.

I dont know what is happening with this place, I used to go all the time there , good pastries , great coffe , excelent service. Always nice and courteous people working there. Specially a guy name Luigi , he was always extra nice with all clients. I went last week , service was terrible, tiramisu cake was dry and the people there has no manners or idea what costumer service is about.

What an amazing 1st time Experience .I was greeted with a big smile by the owner who gave me an authentic personalized experience. It was busy, but I was not rushed in my questions to understand what I was ordering . I ordered a whole Strawberry Cheesecake with a loaf of the cheesy bread . The food is phenomenal and the experience was smooth and flawless. I will definitely be back!

I have lived in Tampa for almost 30 years and this place has by far the best Cuban sandwich in town. The other sandwiches are probably good too but I can never make it past the Cuban. The desserts are awesome too. They have a lunch special for under $9 that includes a sandwich drink and dessert. Its a solid deal. The staff is also pretty friendly.
