Basic breakfast: 2 eggs, bacon, grits and an English muffin with coffee. Hard to mess up right? Eggs were over cooked -- Over medium should have some run in the middle, not mostly solid yolk with crisp white edges. English muffin was raw/ un-toasted which is the only way you can make an English muffin more bland. Grits were terrible, flavorless and had the consistency of snot. The coffee though -- Coffee was good, right?! No. The coffee was the equivalent of brown water. It was flavorless and lukewarm, despite being served in an insulated carafe. Creamer served in a cute little pour cup which is adorable but gross at the same time. Less than a spoonful of creamer and it was like you were just drinking warm milk. The bacon was good, though. Because its bacon. It was packed, with a short wait for a table. It was clean and pretty laid back for the most part with a more middle aged crowd. We saw our waitress once after we got our food and that was after wed had it for ten minutes so our options were to let it sit longer or eat t while it was at least room temperature. Do you like cold eggs? Would you expect your eggs to be served to you at room temperature? Wouldnt you normally tell your waitress? Hard to do when the only time you see her is when she comes to take your plate and drop off the bill. Other things on their menu might be really good but the most basic breakfast wasnt worth the $9 you pay for it. Sorry, fans, I know its a popular place but looking fancy and cute doesnt mean their food is good. Greasy spoon diners can handle a two egg breakfast better than this and we were a table of two with exactly the same thing so -- it wasnt a fluke. Upon asking to break a five (while paying the bill in cash), the dude bro behind the register asked if we wanted all pennies. Pretty sure he could have just said "sure thing!" but we got a side of free lip with our breakfasts!! Yay, extras! The parking lot is a cluster of construction, parallel and angled parking. All in all, you can spend the same amount of money at the grocery store and make your entire family a breakfast that tastes better.

We went in for breakfast with our family of 4 at 10:45. We asked to be seated outside and we were seated immediately. The restaurant wasnt too busy at this point most tables were filled or filling up. After 15 minutes of being seated we notice other tables were seated, greeted, and served beverages. My husband spoke to the hostess and notified her. We decided to time everything after this point. It took approximately 5 minutes for a server to come to our table, she took our order and returned with drinks 4 minutes later. Approximately 9 minutes later she came out with my sons meal but no utensils. We asked for utensils and didnt receive them. Our meal came out about 14 minutes later delivered by whom we think was the manager but he never formally introduced himself. We asked him for utensils as well as syrup for our sons meal. He returned quickly. We werent even midway through our meal and our server brought out the check with no question of whether we wanted anything else. Our meals were very flavorful and delicious, however the service made our experience an unfavorable one. The manager did not even offer an apology. We will not be returning, nor recommending to others.

Friendly service and very quick too. I went Saturday for brunch with a friend. The restaurant was packed, with a line outside. My wait time was 20min. It ended up being 10-15min. Our waiter was very prompt with us and we got order in 10min! I got the parisian benedict with grits and an additional side of biscuits and gravy. Parisian benedict was divine, will definitely order again. Grits are great if you like "grits". They serve them plain so you may have to request butter/cheese/etc. Biscuits and gravy were nothing special. Same kind of white sausage gravy that you see in a lot of diners, wish it was something more. My guest got the veggie scramble with the home fries and she loved every bite. Portions were large (this is definitely a meal and a half). I wish they served the bubbly! Overall, will be back!

I go there once a week for a professional networking meeting. They have a great meeting room for this with plenty of seating and a nice setup for presentations. The staff is good and friendly, but our regular server, Anthony, is 5+ stars. Ive also gotten to see the manager handle complaints and he was very professional about it. The food doesnt stand out in any way, but it is good. The reason I didnt give 5 stars is because I feel that they are about 30% - 50% pricier than same-class same-category competitors suchas FirstWatch. I dont mind because of the service they provide us professionally (for our group), but if not for the meetings, I wouldnt really choose it to bring family and friends. Again this only because the food doesnt wow, for the price asked.

I arrived at 8:50am and waited 20 minutes for a server only after asking for one since I noticed a guy sit in my section and his server came immediately. Making matters worse at 9:23am I had to ask for my server for the 2nd time! When she arrived I advised her that its been over 30 minutes that Ive been there and still no breakfast. She then offered to check on it.....another 9 minutes past and no server! Its unfortunate because I had high hopes of eating breakfast here after reviewing the reviews. This was the ONLY reason why I past other chain restaurants in the attempt to support "Egg & I". NEVER AGAIN!!!

Great food, great flavors. Theyve got the usual heavy fare such as sausage and ham omelettes, bacon and pancakes and French toast, etc., as well lighter fare like vegetable wraps and fruit sides. But, I do have to knock off a star because of a missing critical component of an excellent breakfast - good coffee. I cant make any excuses for it. It really is just watered down and flavorless. Im not even a coffee snob! I just expect the coffee to be on the same level as the rest of the food. If they served better coffee, Id give them full marks.

Heard a lot about this place and finally had the chance to check it out for myself. Read some mixed reviews but my experience was positive. It was busy; Saturday mid-morning and we had about a 20 minute wait. Our waiter was awesome; the coffee was like dessert in a cup (seasonal blend, Southern Pecan) and my bacon and avocado eggs benedict was wonderful! Took my daughter with me this weekend. She had the vegetable eggs benedict was equally happy with her choice. Want to come back with my whole family. Could be a new favorite!

This was my first visit and I got the eggs Benedict with the side potatoes. The potatoes tasted freezer burned and were way over seasoned. The English muffin was burnt and I prefer my egg over hard but the waiter didnt ask so I ended up not even eating that part. My husband had to send his soda back and didnt eat his scrambled eggs were too soft and liquid. The manager came by our table and we expressed our issues and he never offered to comp the meals. Even though we live close and we wont be coming back.
