My one star is all towards customer service and not towards the food what so ever. The food is amazing, but jeez can we send your staff to a customer service class? We walked into the restaurant and stood for about 5 minutes before anyone spoke to us to say "Some one will be right with you!" mind you there were two women standing up front. One was cleaning the pastry case the other sitting down by the counter counting something. Finally we are sat down. We order out food and it comes out quickly except a side dish. She drops the food off and leaves. The waitress finally makes it back to our table and I ask her for refills and also my side dish. She says "oh I apologize Ill go get that." She comes back 10 minutes later to drop off the drinks and still no side dish. I ask her again and she says "Ill be back." About 5 minutes later she comes back around and checks on all her other tables, she stops at one table and chit chats for about 20 minutes by this time my table needs another drink refill and we are done eating. She finally makes it to our table and I say, "Please cancel my side order and can we have to go drinks?" She apologizes again and states she would have the manager take it off the check. "Well of course take it off I never got it!" At this point Im annoyed and she can tell so she asked me to proceed the the front register to pay and assured me the ticket would be fixed. I get to the register and the rudeness girl is up there. No customer service skills, no smiles, no anything. Like jeez do you hate your job that much. She proceeded to ask me how was my dinner and I said the food was great but the service was awful. Her answer!? "OK" your total is.... Im baffled by the careless attitude of this place. Then she still charges me the side dish! When I realize this I ask for a refund and she calls the manager whom is behind her hearing all this by the way, but didnt say a darn thing! The manager says oh just give her 1.99 back. I say didnt you charge me tax as well? You know what just give me 2 dollars and we will call it even. My experience here was awful and honestly George would be very disappointed knowing the staff he has working for him. I for sure am!!!!

Stax Omega Dinner / Bakery / Breakfast Bar. I found this restaurant through the usual on-line referral sources. It was for breakfast with the grown family. What can one say about breakfast? This was a pleasant, non-chain, place to have the first meal of the morning. I had the eggs and country sliced potatoes. The scrambled eggs are the same everywhere unless burnt or cold. The potatoes, for me, were seasoned just right with just the proper amount of chopped onions. I had an enjoyable Greek toast, a sourdough based bread. Others in the party reported their meals were tasty and were at appropriate temperatures. It was a bright an open establishment with Christmas wreaths around the chandeliers. I do not favor any hanging plastic decorations, (these collect and hold dust) however, these being timely decorations, I felt they were probably clean. The noise level was low enough for normal conversations to be held. The staff was prompt with taking and delivering orders. Glasses and coffee mugs were kept full. Big Question, would I return? If there are no other breakfast restaurants between our hotel and Staxs, why yes, definitely. Just sayin its the best breakfast place in the area. SpartanCaver

I ate here today after reading good reviews. The wait was about 20 mins no big deal but our waitress Hannah seemed like she was in a rush. As soon as we sat down she was asking if we knew what we wanted. Me and my husband finally ordered and as soon as she brought the food to us she gave us our check! I was thinking about ordering something to go but when she did that it totally changed my mind!!! The food is very delicious, only complaint would be that my French toast tasted like pancakes. The bread looked like it was literally dipped in pancake batter. Then when we finished eating I asked for a to go box for my remaining food our waitress walked away I sat there for at least 10 mins waiting for her to return. My husband was so upset he ended up asking the hostess to get us one. Come to find out they were 2 feet away from our table. Left me confused to where our waitress disappeared to. I would give this place another try just based on the food and hope our next waitress gives us a better experience.

A very disappointing experience for a first time (and last time) visitor from Montreal which boasts authentic Greek food. Yesterday, we were a company of four . You could not make heads or tails when looking at the lunch menu. It was so confusing that we had to ask for an explanation. In placing our order one of us wanted to substitute potatoes with fries when we were told no substitutes were allowed and there was an extra $5 charge for sharing a dish. The chicken tenders I ordered were baked in tomatoe sauce, something the lunch menu did not clarify. Moreover the cole slaw was not provided on the side as indicated on the menu. The Reuben sandwich, which my host ordered contained much less meat than what she had in the past. One of us ordered a meat dish but the meat was dry. My host was embarrassed.We asked to speak with the manager but that never happened. The manager failed to show up. We left feeling disappointed at the policy and dissatisfied at the food quality and lack of flexibility.

It must be a prerequisite.... if you work at Stax Omega, you have to be unhappy and rude. From the staff at the cash register to the servers, everyone who works here is not friendly and acts like they hate their job. I definitely didnt feel welcome and felt that I was putting my server out when I asked her to check if a food item I was ordering had an ingredient that Im allergic to. She made sure to tell me about the walk shed have to make to find out. Thanks... dont worry about the fact that I could have a severe reaction if I eat the wrong thing. The food... less than average and way overpriced. I can get better food for a more affordable price at some of the other local establishments. I would not go here again. I like to feel welcome when I go out to eat and I like to feel like Ive gotten my moneys worth. That didnt happen at Stax Omega.

I have eaten here quite often and I usually sit at the bar for breakfast. The service has always been very friendly and the kitchen is really fast with good food. However, on more than one occasion now, I have noticed the actions of the people cooking the food. A couple weeks ago, I noticed a guy who was eating something as he was plating the food. I brushed it off but then today I was sitting at the bar and I noticed multiple employees eating food on the kitchen line. Im not sure if this kitchen crew is aware that the guests can see them and we take notice that they are touching their mouths as they touch our food. I would believe there is DHEC regulations as to proper locations for employees to eat. As much as I love the environment and food, I am very unsettled by what I seen today.
