Short and sweet. Sometimes you get what you pay for. You may be thinking, John, we read all of your reviews, and notice you rarely visit fast food or buffet type restaurants! You are right. I really dont care for the cattle call lineup seeing hungry hippos put on the feed bag! Where I get to watch folks pile their plates a mile high! Do they NOT realize they can go back? For seconds, thirds, fourths, etc..??? But dear old(oldish?) mother-in-law-to-be wanted to go to Golden Corral, so who am I to fight that? (Plenty of time to fight after were married)(Did I just say that?) Anyway, in this case, we only paid $7.99 each for three seniors! (Yes, my beautiful fiancée and I both qualify, plus her mother) Then, we paid for two grandchildren, again at $7.99 each for kids. I found everything to be fresh and good. The cold salads/foods were at the proper temperatures. The hot foods, well, were hot. I noticed a flurry of activity as they were constantly bringing out fresh refills to replenish the buffet. I started out with some fresh salad items. The lettuce was crisp, tomatoes perfect ripeness. They even had cottage cheese! Yay! Then on to the main entrees. I found so much variety, it was kind of like going to 4 or 5 different restaurants at once! You want Asian? Got it! Mexican? Yep! Italian? Seafood? Beef? Yes yes and yes! We all happily filled up on the fresh faire, and then......... Off to dessert land! I had to keep a watchful eye on the grandkids.(which is polite, safer and required). I could just picture them jumping into the chocolate fountain! NOOOOOOO! (Not on my watch!). I do not want to see a kid taste testing some of the food, then putting the spoon back in the buffet.(I witnessed this years ago, and swore off buffets for the longest time). Our server was so very friendly and right there with refills on drinks and removing our dirty dishes(I never feel like food is dirty, but I just wanted to say that word!). Truthfully, I cannot afford to eat at a place like this too often. Weight-wise. But, I promise we will be visiting with the woman who gave birth to fab fiancée more often. What a great excuse to go to Golden Corral! See? That in-law thing can pay off!

took my family there for breakfast while we were on vacation and we were pushed for time and we thought it would be fast since it was a buffet and the food should be already cooked and ready.well that did not happen,we walked in a the girl barly noticed us because she was tied up texting and we tell her how many of us there were and that some of us wanted tea ,so when we got the total we had been charged for the guy behind us also,so she acted mad when we told her we were not paying for him too.so then we get to our table and ask about our tea and were told , you have to pay extra for tea, which we asked for when we paid .and we were told the juice is free , so a Mr Byron comes over and he says he will get us the tea ,so we go to get the free juice for my granddaughter and its bad, the machine is broken,so Mr Byron gets that fixed after a few minutes.so now we go to get our food and theres no bacon,biscuits or hash browns, so we asked the mexican guy behind the counter if there was some coming out soon ,and he says yes and just keeps wiping the counter off ,so after almost 20 min the food finally got out there.im not sure if this Mr Byron was a manager or not ,but if hes not, he should be because he was the only one who seemed to care about customers and he was clearing tables,filling glasses and everything else he could to help people.it had been over 10 years since i had been to a golden corral and i may never be back after this.

I like the food. Location staff and management did not show any desire for hospitality or even carrying a conversation. I had a 10% coupon for seniors on my mobile device with the Golden Corral emblem, but was told that I have to print it. Shift manager was next to employee, who reacted by shrugging his shoulder and leaving, instead of identifying coupon and offering a solution. I like Zephyrhills location, but not this Temple Terrace location. Here also, the Take out is $7.95/lb, which does not make sense. It would cost about $30-$50 to fill the take out box with an equivalent of 1 plate. This is not a way to treat customers who already paid to eat at restaurant and want to extend using the Golden Corral food at home, which could have been a word of mouth literal advertisement. Unfortunately, I changed my mind, and did not buy the take out.

Very dirty on the inside carpet needs to be replaced food poor quality on food management staff the lady I talked to her she says its due to the area that its located in it shouldnt matter whether its black white Chinese Mexican or whatever the food quality and building and the service should be the same on any Golden Corral that you go to not used to excuse its the neighborhood I feel the depths of disgrace I downgrade to whoever wants to go in there black white Chinese Puerto Rican whatever Mexican the food quality should be the same for everyone I feel that the owners need to put some money into the place get it fixed up and clean do a better job on preparing food and have a better variety

My experience was so awful here.. I went in for lunch with my girlfriend and didnt realize the air conditioning was broke and sat down for 10 minutes food was horrible and was way to hot to eat in there. Asked the manager for a refund he agreed with me and told me I was right it was to hot to eat. Then said he would refund my money because I was young and didnt have any heart or health issues so it shouldnt bother me eating with no air conditioning saId theres nothing I can do and to call corporate if I had a problem with it. Very unprofessional. Very disappointed and disrespect.

The food was so-so. I am a foodie and a sports fanatic. The best part about my visit to this store was my server. His name is Tee. I didnt have to do anything but go and get my food. He brought me hot rolls to my table, made sure my cup was always full, and offered me coffee at the end of my meal. He did all of this to everyone of his customers. I told management what good job he had done, however they just seem to brush me off with a fake, "ok, have a nice day." To anyone reading this, if you want great customer service ask for Tee to be your server.

Well first lets start if I could rate in sections it would look like this Chad my server almost Everytime Im here we sit only in his section. He is on top of drinks and plates. He is funny and good at what he does. Most Everytime we come we are good and food is good but today we could barely eat things didnt taste right and all 3 of my kids are now sick started after we ate here. The steak cooks tend to be a bit snotty and rude and dont seem to listen to us customers. Hope the next time I go here which wont be for a while we wont get sick
