Pros: The buffet is usually pretty good and they have a good selection of food (including vegetarian options). The food is fairly priced and the wait staff is nice and responsive. Parking is always available and the interior is well maintained and decor is satisfactory. Cons: The booths have inadequate room and so you are often on top of your food. The building is surrounded by trash, weeds, dying plants, and planter boxes filled only with overgrown bushes. The food is sometimes overly spiced (I dont mean hot spicy) and they over use oils which causes one to often walk out coughing and feeling heavy. Overall, it is a convenient place to get a large, inexpensive, and okay tasting meal. Minor changes to their recipes and exterior improvements to the building and grounds would go a long way to improving the overall experience.

The first plus was we asked to be seated in a more private space and the hostess obliged us. Then we ordered the lamb koorma and palak paneer with chicken added and rice with butter naan. Everything was delicious and yet the lime mint soda I ordered was too strong so the brought a "light" version which was not as strong. Still not great. The waiter asked if I wanted it removed from my check because I didnt like it and so I agreed. Very cool. They boxed up our remaining portions and added another small box of rice for free. Then he offered us to try out their rice pudding which was free and it was probably the best rice pudding Ive ever had! The seats werent as clean as I had hoped but the fare made up for it and beyond!

Terrible food and service. We order dosas and chicken biryani. The dosas were bitter due to extra fermentation and the onion dosa was pathetic. There was no taste and the texture was very slimy. The chicken in the biryani was not cooked and when we asked the staff about it, they didnt care. The service wasnt good too with inattentive staff who didnt care about my request for warm/room temperature water. Our tea was cold and there was an extra item in the final bill which we didnt order. It took them about 15 minutes to give us the new itemized bill and the staff was clearly not happy that we asked for a corrected one. Overall, dont go here. It is not Indian food nor an Indian experience. Thanks.

Being lived in places like Chicago and Washington DC, I have tasted very good quality Indian food. Was in this restaurant for a buffet because of the 4.7 star rating which is almost the highest for any Indian restaurant in Orlando. The buffet had very few options, the food kind of felt stale, taste wasnt close to the rating at all (Im indian) did not feel like having a round 2 for any of the dishes, the naan served was not hot and didnt feel that it was freshly made so we had to order a new roti which was not part of the buffet and it was overall a very slow service. Never expected that the food would be so low quality, considering the reviews it has here!

I came to this restaurant fron Jacksonville after a long drive. I came with my family (2 young children). We were sent back because we got in 10 minutes before closing. This is horrible experience to anyonewho walks into a restaurant hungry. Most businesses stay a little longer till the customers finish eating. These guys didnt want us to come in at all. I even said we came from a long drive. The guy who was at the door didnt care. I promised him that I will write this on google. Still no care. This incident happened on Apr 14, just in case the business has a camera that recorded it and the owners can see on tape. Hpw dumb are these people. Utter shame.

Assortment of food is a bit limited...theres about 8-12 items? The restaurant is a bit small and weve passed it so many times but was not aware if its high rating from others. Even with the limited assortment of food, it was very good. I absolutely love the flavors and you can definitely taste the spices. Very very friendly staff and they were constantly checking to make sure our waters were always filled. My entire family enjoyed it and I can see why theyre so highly praised. Will definitely take friends new to Indian food here.

I love Indian food and was pleased to introduce two of my foodie friends to the cuisine on our recent trip to Tamarind UCF. Our server was very knowledgeable about the ingredients and made perfect recommendations for our party. The spices were spot on, the food fantastic, the service attentive without being intrusive, and the environment was welcoming. One of my friends is in a wheelchair and we had no issues with seating. Ill definitely return for more dosa, tandoori, and the lamb was a-maze-ing!!!

Youd never know this place was a real gem in Orlando judging by the horrific parking situation. Tamarind is a complete nightmare to get into with construction nearly blocking the only entrance into the place. (June 2016) Once you get in, the food and service are spectacular. All of the dishes, but especially the lamb, are sublime. Be very careful if you ask for something spicy: Indians dont play around. Its amazing cleanly and well lit inside. Bring your family here if you have the chance.

We placed and Uber order here and they called us to let us know our main dish was sold out after they had made everything else. So we could choose something else on the menu and wait, allowing our food to get cold....it was just kind of strange, and when we said we wanted to cancel the order to look at the menu and choose something else the woman hung up on us...over all I was really amazed considering my room mate was so polite to her :( and we were so excited to try this place.

Wonderful. I grew up in England exposed to many Curry houses both good and bad. This ranks amongst some of the best Curry Ive ever eaten. The poppadoms had great texture and flavor, the samosas were flaky and had great spice and the Lamb Roganjosh was tender and expertly made. Ill definitely be going back on future business trips. The service was great, also. If you love Curry, eat here. If you have never had Curry, eat here. You wont be disappointed!

This is the old Cypriana Greek restaurant building, but they actually did a pretty good job on "Indianising" it. For $8.95, you get a really good selection of fresh, hot buffet items such as chicken tandoori, tikka masala and some spinach dish, as well as some salads, chutneys and Naan. The service is impeccable, I didnt have to ask for my water to be refilled once. Another thing to note is that they had lamb on the buffet. I will certainly be back!

Food was good but the service made this 3 stars for me. Order came in wrong then when it was brought back, the server act as if they were upset because we couldnt eat spicy. When asked for container to take my food, they came back and threw yes actually threw the container on the table. I had to take a deep breathe, because I knew I was going to cause a scene. Hopefully this was just a off day for them. Wont be back thats for sure.

on Aug. 19 for buffet. Food was not good; chicken tandoori was cold and burnt, biryani had less meat, gajar halwa was dark red and very very sweet, Rice pudding was sweet and rice were not cooked properly, Chicken Makhani was not well prepared; curry was weak and watery. Table service was not good either, very slow to bring naans and clean plates. spent 60 dollars, with four people, NOT WORTH IT. Never will visit again.
