ROACHES ON FOOD BAR AND IN FOOD during our familys Thanksgiving meal. First, I have always had great service from the wait staff (today was even better), but always seem to have a disgusting twist at this location. I havent commented here before, but the Managers reaction today prompted me to post some of my assorted experiences over the last 2 years: (11/22/12) I noticed a roach, unhindered by the bright lights and multiple people, crawl across the salad bar. A woman next to me pointed at it as it darted into the broccoli. She didnt say a word as the line stepped closer to the seafood where we both saw another roach crawl across the seafood sign and disappear along the stainless steel track where the hot seafood sat. She went to her table and they left without eating. I quietly alerted the Manager as we were seated next to the office and he briskly told me he was already calling his pest guy, then darted away as fast as the roach did. We were not looking for a refund, but perhaps an apology or a quick sorry would have been better than disappearing - his lack of empathy in a Managerial situation almost made me want to let everyone in the place know there was a roach infestation - especially as it crawled into food, but he never came back so I could share the info and stop another customer from finding it on his/her plate. That would have made everyones Thanksgiving meal tastier. (Spring 2012) I watched a kid sticking his finger into the chocolate fountain, suck his finger clean, then repeated - right in font of the desert staff. Grabbed strawberries with his hands, put onto skewer then kept sticking it into fountain, taking a bite and repeating. I walked over and told him to go back to his table. (Fall 2011) Watched a girl sucking chocolate from the pump at the ice cream station. No one working desert area noticed, but did remove the chocolate container after I pointed it out. (Spring 2011) I quietly pointed out to our waitress that there were several inches of rotting food just under the desert bar, visible from our table and most likely swept there and forgotten. I was eating lunch with a regional manager from a fast food chain and he was embarrassed and disgusted. Our waitress grabbed a broom and swept it out then notified the Manager. After my friend talked to him, he apologized and said he would get his people to clean it. (Several times) Took daughter to Mens room, urine all over toilets, had to ask wife to take her, Womens wasnt any cleaner. I have always felt dirtier for going in to wash my hands. (*) Several occasions over 2010, I talked to the management about the sour smell from the carpet, just like rags that are used to wipe up food then dropped in water buckets without bleach or disinfectant and used again on tables. They assured me they were being cleaned but I told them their hired cleaning company was only watering the food into the carpet and it was rotting. One manager told me they were going to get different cleaners, today smelled fine, but the carpet may have been dry for a few days.

There is a lot of food here, options for everyone. A few things were really great, like the fried chicken, yeast rolls, carved turkey and fried okra. I hated the carved ham, sauteed summer squash and most of the cooked veggies looked a bit limp. A lot of it left me with the opinion that I could make that dish better at home. Of the desserts, the chocolate cake was ok, but tasted like it was made from a box mix with canned frosting, which is fine, but nothing special. The brownies were slightly better, but again, nothing special. Most enjoyable was the chocolate fountain. I didnt try any of the plethora of non-chocolate desserts like pies, bread pudding, jello, etc. The place was kept very clean and someone comes around to remove your plate when youre finished. Sometimes I had to ask for a dish on the buffet to be refilled or else it wouldnt get done. Bottom line, its good if you dont want to cook or you have a group of people with diverse tastes because there is something for everyone. If those people have big appetites then youll get your moneys worth - $8.99 for lunch for adults, knock off a buck for seniors. Im sorry, I didnt note the price for children. Drinks are separate, but you get unlimited refills.

I have been eating here for about 2 weeks now everyday and at different times because it is close to our job site at the AMC 22 we are remodeling. No matter what time also out of alot of items for some reason. Especially the broiled fish and the rotisserie chicken . I can not eat bread or anything with gluten so I come for a few items. At lunch Im given a hard time because I want 2 or 3 hamburger patties no bun, even told they cant do that. Today Sunday 30th of September 2015 . Out again and one manager said fish will be out soon and after that 30 mins still no fish or chiken . 12:15 till 12:45 somebody needs to tighten up in my opinion. Normally golden corral is my favorite no matter what state Im working in or city but this by far the worst ever. I left at 1pm still no fish and they brought out 4 pieces of chicken on a busy Sunday after church. Many complaints just while standing at the bars and setting down . Poor management and I have eaten in many and by far worst yet .

THERE WAS A ROACH CRAWLING ON MY TABLE! We alerted the teenage waitress who was unnecessarily rude but she got us an immediate refund, which wasnt processing in their register correctly at first. I had to DEMAND to see a manager and was told by this waitress, "Youre already getting a refund. Whats the problem?!" Then she and the cashier said "The managers are too busy for customers". Craziness. The scariest part was when the manager did finally come out she (the manager) said: "We were told that when this happens to just give the customer a refund right away." SO, they actually have a protocol in place for when customers encounter roaches?!?!?!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Disgusting. I will never eat there or at any other Golden Corral again. GROSS

I did not go there a lot I like the food its okay but the people that work behind the glass where the food is theyre not very friendly if you ask a question they give you the craziest answer the only part that I find friendly the ear its at the dessert bar the little old lady that works behind there shes always willing to help you always smile and speak not think that is nice I really do think they need a training and customer service and if theres a language problem they need to let someone else speak for them to me the carpet needs to be cleaned there and theyre really need to check the Cuttery and those plates soon as I picked up a plate it was dirty and most of the time thats how I the dishes be
