Great south african food store!! I came here with my wife and son for lunch a couple of days ago. Pretty small place but thats what gives it the charm. Im from New Zealand and have yet to find a place that does good pies.. until I found meal in a pie. They are ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! maybe not exactly the same format that Im used to, the result is still fantastic. The pastry is light and crispy and the filing is bursting with flavor. I had the chicken pie and my wife had the Shepards pie. They had other flavors that sounded mouth watering too. I also picked up some biltong which is a traditional south African jerky and that was great! You can call ahead and have it made to your degree of tenderness and add chilli spice if you like which I am definitely going to do. the hospitality and service is outstanding. Over all it was a great experience and Ill definitely be back

My husband and I have been enjoying MIAP for over 4 years now, after being introduced by one of our S.A friends. Its become a standard in our eating-out rotation and we love every variety we have tried. The shop is great with a variety of tasty items not available anywhere else, and the owner is friendly and attentive. Make sure you try the Biltong and Dreowars (sp? sorry if i botched it!) as both are addictive and delicious.

Light, flaky, and delicious, this is the VERY best South African Meat-In-Pie restaurant in all of South Florida. The owner is super nice and always helpful, serving up fresh and warm, but never dry or overcooked, masterpieces, in a clean and somewhat cozy spot that feels like moms kitchen!!! If you dont stop by and check it out, youre missing out in a hidden gem!!

It is a tiny place with only one table and some counter space but the food is excellent fresh pot very tasty exceeded my expectations and not badly priced at all I got a sausage roll for a 349 it was a perfect snack in between meals I will be going back to get a pie for lunch

Definitely a hole in the wall type of establishment, but those are always the best finds! They have an amazing staff/owners, very friendly people. The pies are all made fresh everyday, and are absolutely stunning. Its definitely worth it. -love this place. :)

I love this place for the pies. The pies are really yummy and fairly priced. You can also buy them frozen to heat for a convenient dinner later. The store also sells grocery goods that you cannot find in most super markets.

Super yummy light, flaky pastries stufeed with savory deliciousness. Sausage rolls are #1... followed by lamb pasties, then curry chciken/lamb, then steak. It is exactly as the title suggests, a terrific meal in a pie!

If you havent been to Meal in a Pie, then you are missing out!! The chicken and shepard pies are my favorite with chutney!! Its like a pot pie, but made with a flaky crust all around!! Its AMAZING!!

This is the best place in South Florida for an authentic South African meal. Love the pies, sausage rolls and the sweets. Grab a Babotie pie, a pork sausage roll and a coke and your good to go!
