WARNING: THIS LOCATION HAS A DIFFERENT MENU THAN THIRD ST. Two for two they didnt have items sold at their other location.. To arrive at another location and find they dont have the same menu will only be an annoying inconvenience once. Because I wont be returning. What if you went to McDonalds and they said sorry we dont sell a Big Mac at this McDonalds.. Or what if you went to Burger King and they said sorry we dont sell a Whopper at this location.. What if you went to Red Lobster and they said we dont have shrimp at this location??? My suggestion is that you just make your menus consistent. It seems to me that the guy was telling me you had all of the ingredients to make the taco I wanted and just werent willing to do it because thats sold at the other location. Bummer. I really liked those tacos.

Meh. Im half Mexican and lived in Texas for years. This isnt tex mex. We tried 6 tacos and a bowl. Tortillas werent cooked through, meat was bland and didnt taste fresh, pico de gallo had signs of being frozen and thawed, too much cabbage (and why is there cabbage anyway?), and why does every taco come with its own chips warranting its own container? Big waste of materials. We also called the 3rd street location first and were told the tacos we wanted werent made there, we would have to call Washington street, but we pulled the menu from the website so why the inconsistency? On the plus side (and why Im giving at least 2 stars) is that they had core values posted behind the counter and visible from the drive thru window, they have a drive thru window, and their staff was friendly.

Amazingly tasty, healthy, honest food. A true UP original delight! I eat here at least once a week and it never disappoints or breaks the bank (2 people can get one filling meal each for under $20). Plus I can get in and get out within my lunch hour with time to spare. The cooks are spot on and extremely efficient (Ive never received an incorrect order) and staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. Plus they make all their own sauces and I believe they dont have added sugar, or very low sugar. The chipotle and fuego are my absolute favorite. It is to be noted BG is not an authentic Mexican restaurant, it is a fast casual very similar to QDoba or Chipotle in authenticity. Doesnt detract from the deliciousness at all, though!

I live around the Marquette area and grew up here so when Border Grill was opened I was originally very excited because Mexican food is my favorite of all time. But the food is NOT Mexican. Its a very very Americanized Mexican style food. I have items on the menu that I do get, but its usually someone else who picks Border Grill for a meal, not myself. The closest you can find pretty good more authentic type Mexican food from Marquette is Sault Ste. Marie or down state. We had Los 3 Amigos but that food was so authentic that there were illegal immigrants. But the food is decently priced, and it is step up from considering Taco Bell Mexican food.

When I lived in Marquette back in 1999, this place was a very small place with a few tables. Wow! Has it changed! Its now this beautiful 2 story building but the food is still the best. While staying in the UP over th July 4th week, we had lunch and dinner there 4 times. Each time, it was fast, good and no problems. I was a bit worried that since the location was dfifferent that the food would be different, as that often happens. Still great stuff! Heres hoping when I return in 10 more years....its still there!

The good thing about this place is that the food is FRESH and REAL not frozen and fake and the portion sizes are fairly large. The BAD thing about it is that it is NOT at all Mexican. Only burritos in San Francisco usually have rice in them, not that its a bad thing...but these are so VERY BLAND and tasteless. A real Mexican would not be happy at all in such a place. Maybe they should call them American Tortilla Wrap Sandwiches instead of Mexican Burritos.

They only problem I had was with the service. I asked for jalapenos and the server had no idea what I was talking about and neither did the cook evidently. I was brought out two different kind of peppers, one a regular red bell pepper and the other a regular green bell pepper-not jalapeno. You would think for a mexican restaurant they would know what a (pickled?) jalapeno is.

NOT AUTHENTIC! Definetly a preference. I would rather eat a taco bell for half the price and I have heard a lot of people say the same. It is not even close to authentic and not cheap at all. How can it be Authentic when there is not a single hispanic working there? Tortillas are not even warmed up. Guess if your used to pasties, it is a real treat.

We chose Border Grill Catering for our wedding dinner. Donna helped us plan our wedding dinner menu for 100 guests during our eight month long engagement. She was professional, creative, and helpful. We would recommend Border Grill Catering for any special occasion catering event. Thank you, Donna! We love you!

This is a really cool, modern place with 2 levels. The workers are enthusiastic and efficient. I had a whitefish burrito which was very tasty. I LOVED the dipping sauce for the tortilla chips! I like that you can get non-spicy or spicy.

This is my first stop every time I visit Marquette. Fantastic food. Not too greasy. Good drink selection and a nice outdoor patio that occasionally has live music. A significant step up from your standard Mexican fast food joint.

Pick up window is a joke. They tell everyone 15 minutes and the food is never done. End up waiting over 5 minutes per car ahead of you which is sometimes 5 cars. And their take out food is never hot.

Good food, nice environment. Prices are a bit high compared to Sol Azteca where you get a sit down/waitstaff experience and larger food portions. Still this is a step up from regular fast food.

Border Grill has decent food. Not real Mexican food by any means, but they do have a unique taste that I havent had anywhere else.
