This is the restaurant I found after my dilemma with tap tap. We are not from miami. So we were counting solely on mrs gps to bring us there- and time was of the essence. By this time we were tired and famished. After pissing off a few miami drivers Im sure (I apologize) we found lauberge. They have a parking lot- I went in anxious not to see the decorations, but to see how fast we can get our hands in our food. I was in line shortly when one of the ladies asked how she could help me. Wow. I told her we were dining in, she told me to find a table- instead of leading me to one, but thats ok. Beside the place was full, all the tables were occupied. My friend and I had to sit on these high chairs with a large counter. The waitress didnt waste time bringing us the menu since my friend was not there to place our order she said she was coming back shortly. My friend who wanted to empty his bladder since tap tap chaos went straight to do so. Just as my friend came back the waitress came with two glass of water and took our order. The salad came first which was nothing to brag about. We ordered the fried chicken- being that hungry this was the quickest thing to get. We ordered the chicken with rice with beans, and jus grenadia. They had only one type of rice with beans- so varieties is not their forté. We also ordered some acra. In less than 5minutes, the waitress came with a plate of acra, a little spicy but not bad. I was not even done with my acra when she came with two plates of fried chicken and plaintains, pikliz, and sauce. I heard angels singing- my friend change his rice with beans for white rice and beans. The waitress was happy to do so. The chicken was good, the plantains too. Both rice, I was not impressed- I have had better. The jus grenadia was ok. We paid only $26 and some change for our meal.We tipped the waitress generously she was nice- I thanked her for her service, but didnt get her name. Lauberge saved the day. If ever Im in miami I will definitely return. They dont have one person working as waitress-server-greeter. Thats a plus. And you get a decent amount of food for your money. In addition you dont have to drive around for parking- and its free.

Was so excited to go there based on the reviews. So disappointing. Ordered "boulette" and that thing had absolutely no taste! I think they forgot the seasoning. My friend got "griot" and got a bunch of hair in it. Im all for supporting my people but this experience was just horrible for us.

First time I ever had Haitian food and Man it was amazing! I had the fried meatballs with white rice and bean sauce. It was by far the best meal I ever had. Highly recommended this restaurant! You know what!? Im gonna go there today !

Worst place ever, they wont pick up the phone for you to place an order. When you walk in to order, they wont even take your name, they will tell you to come back in 10 minutes for you come back to tell you they are out of food.

Clean. Good customer service. It was late night, and they had everything on the menu. Haitian restaurants always run out of food. So,, it was nice that they had a full menu. Food was pretty good, but I have had better.
