The best barbecue around, hands down! As you drive into the parking lot, see the smokers going and get a whiff of the meat cooking, youll start to salivate! I usually get the rib meal which costs $13. You get your choice of regular or hot sauce, when I say hot, it has just a tiny bit of heat. It consists of about 7 thick and meaty rib pieces smoked to perfection. Then your choice of 2 sides: mac n cheese, pigeon peas and rice, coleslaw, collard greens, baked beans and more. All the sides are delicious. Lastly, you get a peice of cornbread. Its handmade with just the right amount of moistness and buttery flavor. They also offer a fairly wide range of handcrafted desserts from cakes to pies and puddings. Be aware, the meal portions are large and I usually turn it into two meals. Every time Im in the area, I make sure to go here. The staff is very friendly and reliable. The building is very small with only a few tables outside, so I suggest getting it to go! They dont have a fountain drink machine, but do offer cans and have fresh made tea and lemonade!

To start, I stood at the counter for no less than 5 minutes before any one acknowledged me - fine. I ordered a full rack with collard greens and baked beans. The ribs tasted great, although certain parts appeared to be undercooked. Collards and beans were on point. The beans however, due to their intense heat warped the Styrofoam container... that melted plastic has to be getting into that food! The low stars is because the food ultimately gave me a the runs as if I was training for a marathon. This, coupled with the service and parking fiasco does not bode well for this establishment. Youd be better off elsewhere.

I visited the lauderhill location after hearing so many great reviews and I must say I was very disappointed. I ordered the chicken and rib combo, some being lukewarm and some being cold. They gave me more chicken, two regular sized ribs. One rib had a lot of fat on it and the rest was only a few chunks of rib. There wasnt much sauce on it. The mac&cheese and pigeon peas&rice was alright. I wanted a slice of red velvet cake but they had no cake at all. I dont think that the combo was worth $16.99 at all. Im sorry I wont be returning again because I feel as if it was a waste of money.

Hands down the best BBQ you can find in Broward County. Tom Jenkins has nothing on Father and Son. Meat melts in your mouth and falls right off the bone. The sauce leaves your mouth watering for more, and the pricing is more than reasonable. Ordered the family meal 55$ Whole Rack, Whole Chicken, 3 large sides. Let me say it easily fed 4 bottomless stomachs and filled them up with food left for about 6 more to eat. I am definitely going to be going back every time I want BBQ and will recommend it to anyone who ask me whats a good place for BBQ.

I usually dont write reviews but this place has become horrible. The first time I ate there the food was good. The past 2times IVE been the food has become very nasty I dont know if they have new cooks but it taste nothing like the first 2 times I had it. The Collard greens taste like they out the can my boyfriend ribs were under cook I always eat the chicken but the first time I order the ribs they were also under cooked the Mac and cheese was fie the first time I had it now it taste horrible as well.

Not only was the food amazing but they have the most honest people working there. We had bbq ribs and it was mouth watery good! My mom left her purse hanging on her seat and didnt realize it until she got home.....to Kendall! She jumped back in the car and drove all the way back and and they had it waiting for her to return. The purse had no ID in it and $486 in CASH and not a single penny was missing. You dont see this type of story. Spread the word about this amazing place!!

My GOD!!! I must say this is truly the most fall off the bone smoked bar-b-Que Ive ever tasted. When you pull up and see the 3 HUGE smokers - you know you are in for a once in a life time experience. The sides left something to be desired but here its all about the MEAT. The ribs literally fall off the bone to a touch and the chicken is moist yet charred to perfection. Unbelievable quality. I will be back.

Hands down the best barbecue in Fort Lauderdale. The service is lacking at times. But theres only one cashier and the line can get out of the door. Even with the line being long the wait isnt unbearable. They have a unique barbecue sauce that seems to be more mustard-based however it is sweet in flavor. Something that is unique to their ribs. They also have great desserts. If youre trying to diet stay away!

They had no food, no chicken, no macaroni, no bread. They didnt have anything. I have been wanting to go here forever. Went with two other friends we hated it. Waited in line for 15-20min to basically tell us they didnt have anything we wanted. On top of it there was this creep of a man. Who just followed like a few paces behind us with his camera phone. 1 star because at least the food smelled good.

first of all , its in a black area. so your taking a chance going there. the waitstaff is black, and has a real bad attitude, just read the other comments here. but ,the food is quite good, nice smokey flavor, fall off the bone meat . sauce could be a little better. OR offer more of a variety. i dont care how good the food is, if the people that work there suck, or its in a lousy area, i wont go back

First time ordering from here and have to say it was the best ribs I had in a long time... I ordered on line and they didnt have the soda I wanted and they called rite away and actually had something better .. the lady was very friendly. Its too far for me to go but its perfect when you home in your jammies and just wanna Bing.. will be ordering again....

Its simple other then the food it is not worth going to. The lady at the front is always on the phone talking personal stuff, gotta wait till she done for her to take your order, at that age talks to you with attitude for cutting her conversation short........I been there several times the food is good but the lady makes its not worth it

Its a very small place, (not for everybody), you will probably miss it from the street if not looking carefully, but you cant miss the smoke of the low cooking grills... Dont expect anything fancy, the place is all about ribs and pork, if you love ribs you have to stop and grab a pair to go, great taste, A+ for the ribs

The best smoked barbecue chicken and ribs in the tri-county area and possibly all of Florida, the cowboy steak is seasoned to perfection and cooked to your desire and the side dishes with your choice of desserts are truly the icing on the cake. No pun intended! This is a great place for great eating!!!!
