My daughter was hired to work at the Waffle House at location listed above. She had her first interview on Friday January 6, 2017 at 2:30 pm. She interviewed with a employee name Tracie. My daughter was in the interview for about 15 minutes. When the interview was over, Tracie told her to come back that Sunday January 8 at 2:30pm to speak with the owner. I brought my daughter back on that day, and she met with a Shift Manager named C.J. He did a follow up interview, and told my daughter she had to go to orientation at the Waffle House in Apopka. My daughter went to the orientation, when she got there she was asked for a ticket, which she didnt have, then they called the Mount Dora location and they said since she was working the door, she didnt have to attend orientation. So she had to come back home, then she called back to the Mount Dora location and they told her to come into work at 7am today(January 14, 2017) to fill out papers and start working. I dropped my daughter off at 6:45 am. When she went inside, she asked for Tracie, and was told to sit down and wait for her. When Tracie passed by her, she only said good morning, and went to the back. My daughter sat there for almost 30 minutes, before she called me to come pick her up. She said after speaking with Tracie, Tracie told her she was supposed to go over the application with CJ. Im not sure what happened but basically my daughter was hired and just let to sit there. I need an explanation. Why would they just leave my daughter sitting there like that, she just turned 18, and this was her first official job. Needless to say, her feelings were very hurt, and i feel she was treated unfairly.

Horrible staff. Theyre rude, and dont care. We went Friday morning (1/6/17) Waited TWENTY minutes for someone to take our order. Our drinks sat empty for almost the entirety of our meal, all while the staff was joking and laughing and playing around. Get a more professional staff. We TRIED to talked to the manager (dont remember her name, dont care to) after our meal, and she ROLLED HER EYES and dismissed us before we even had the chance to say anything. She had such a sour attitude. We werent looking for freebies or anything, just thought she would like to know how rude and unprofessional her own staff was, and she didnt even want to hear it! If I could give zero stars, I would. Ive never been treated like that before anywhere!!!! Disrespectful!!!!! Dont even remember what our food tasted like....

We love going on weekend mornings, the earlier the better,that way you wont have to deal with waiting for a seat. We love the quick service and the open kitchen with all the staff working and mingling with them. Everyone welcomes you as you enter and its a family friendly environment with the reasonable prices and a basic non-complex menu.

While I love Waffle House, my family of 7 went to celebrate my friends birthday tonight. Food was great! Service was great! But we all ended up getting food poisoning. So just be careful. Otherwise, it was an okay experience.

Best waffle house visit. Ever. Great staff, quick service, delicious food. If you like the waffle house experience in general, this particular waffle house is a few steps ahead. Our server was Monica. 5 stars to her as well!

I like ordering a bowl of grits for starters. Followed by a order of cheese eggs with toast. I usually save money by not ordering a coffee or dink. It cost like $6 bucks... love it.
