This restaurant is a diamond in the rough. Very rustic chic and quaint. My co-workers and I actually landed here after we could not find parking for another spot. I believe it was fate. We sat down and were surrounded by amazing dishes. I had never had a fish taco before and to be honest did not have the desire to until I saw them placed at the table beside us. They looked amazing. Our whole table ordered them and we shared the Thai Lettuce rolls. AMAZING! I have dreams about the food! To add insult to injury...we went back the very next day and had another amazing meal! Louisiana Cajun Rolls and Fried Okra....and as you can see the amazing cake. I am glad I dont live closer or they would have to roll me out. The Owner is awesome, the waiters are the BEST. This is such a warm and inviting atmosphere. Just an overall great experience. Might I add, my family is in the restaurant business and one of my co-workers is married to a chef. They won the hearts of two tough critics (and the hearts of the others that were with us ;-) ).

Highly overrated. I had lunch there one day and thought that it was good enough to try for dinner. Well, they have done well to package something mediocre in a trendy facade. The "crispy trout" was fresh but mostly tasteless despite the crawfish sauce. The irony is that everything needed salt. The waitress, who is one of two brunette sisters (twins?) working that night (Jul 5th) was unfriendly, uninformed, arrogant and devoid of personality. She never came around to ask if our meal was ok, and when we got our check and told her my wifes salmon was undercooked, she argued and said that its the "standard way in the USA" and that it was not her duty to inform us that it was going to be medium rare. So I guess if tourists from another country eat there, they will just have to accept it because she said so. It is the last time I will set foot there. If you like overpriced, tasteless food presented by unfriendly staff in a really cramped setting where there is no parking (valet only), this place is for you.

First time going to take visiting friends for lunch with a group of about 15. To put it bluntly, the food was horrible, the prices are very expensive, and the waitress was awful. We ordered from the "Brunch Menu" which is nothing more than pancakes and eggs. The pancakes were so thick and dry, I could hardly swallow it. I stopped after 3 bites. My friends eggs were served looking brown. She sent them back twice. My husband always finishes his plate, but he left most of the brunch on the plate. Waitress rushed us to order and did not smile until she handed us our big check. Everyone in our party asked for boxes to take away the undigestable food that we overpaid for. Went home and had a free hot dog--yummy! What a waste of $40. We will NEVER EVER COME BACK AGAIN!

Very good. At first I was a little put off by valet parking, but after the place filled up I could see why they do it. I dont think they are trying to be snooty. They just have very limited parking so its best to have someone manage it. Beer selection is outstanding. Food was fantastic. It could have come out of the kitchen a little hotter, but it was still fantastic. Deserts were good, but could use a little work. I was not upset by the price at all. I spent less than what I typically blow at an outback, but the food here is light years beyond outback. Staff was really knowledgeable, friendly, and good. Holly, behind the bar, is a sweetheart. Good Job Salt Factory! I will be back next time Im in Alpharetta.

I like Salt a lot. I dont really like this location, I think its a little awkward but this is a great place for lunch with friends. I really love the She Crab Soup, its amazing. You can taste the crab and its balanced well between spicy and creamy. Its perfect and served with crisped bread with some sort of aoili on it. We ordered a couple of meats and cheeses that came out to us on a cute cutting board. I really like this place for lunch, havent been here for dinner but the menu looks promising!

Pear salad: salad was not fresh at all ! Taste like stale store bagged salad with a canned pear. Stake sandwich: this was missing..... SALT! Over all it was a soggy , blan one note wonder! Oysters:just yuck ! Service : also ,just yuck ! Over all: Im only giving Salt 2 stars because Ive eaten the SAME thing at the Roswell location and it was heaven !! So maybe it was the combination of location and the lunch staff , but I think the safer bet is to head to the Roswell location !

Not bad, but considering the name and the association with Salt on Canton, I expected better. Food was average, service was marginal to bad. Granted, it was a Saturday night and they were very busy. Waited 45 minutes for a table. Good for them. Bad for me. Place is very loud. Do not recommend for date night unless you do not want to hear your date talk. I do not recommend for weekends. Maybe it is better in mid-week ?

I was very pleased with Salt. The wait went by quickly on a busy Saturday night. We started off with the Louisiana Egg Rolls. OMG! They were amazing! I had the "London Broil" which was cooked perfectly, and came with the best mashed potatoes ive had. My husband had a Burger that came fully loaded with a fried egg on top. We split the chocolate cake for dessert. Everything was wonderful and we will definitely be back!

The Salt Factory Pub is delicious and has many solid specials. I got the recommendation of the server, and ordered the London Broil. The steak was very tender and well prepared. The onion rings looked delightful, but were bland. The cheddar potatoes were absolutely fantastic. Others in my group recommend The Shepherds Pie. Service was very good for a large group.

Me and my bf ate their yesterday, the food was great he got a pizza with chicken, spinach and mushrooms and he had ale and I got the shepherds pie. I loved the green stuff they drizzled over the bread. He loved his ale, we both loved our food and the waiter we has was great.

Saturday lunch: Positives: Food was very good - shrimp and grits and a pear salad Service was very attentive Negatives Sat outside, the location/outside atmosphere could be better but there isnt much they can do about that. A little pricey I will definitely go back.

Went for lunch break, the Salmon sandwich was great. Options to replace fried if not wanted were limited, they dont seem to have "sides" listed on the menu. The prices were high. I was a bit surprised. Sat outside, lovely service, Tiger was a kind, attentive waiter.
