I wanted the red velvet French toast. I pointed to the red velvet French toast on the menu. I said "I would like the bacon combo for 6.99 with the red velvet pancakes." (I misspoke) I reconfirmed the price with the waitress before she left. I got the red velvet pancakes with two slices of bacon instead of four for $8.43. Its partly my fault for misspeaking, but Im still upset. Also my pancakes were soggy, and my wifes meatless omelet tasted like bacon, probably because it was fried in bacon fat, which isnt a problem because shes not vegetarian, but still bothered her. The hash browns were some of the best Ive ever had in an IHop though, so its not all bad, and my eggs were done correctly.

I love breakfast food but if I could I would give this zero stars! I only come in here because my parents and my boyfriend love ihop but I dislike coming here because either I get food spilt on me by a server or they dont put it on the table on the way and it falls on me! (I am a server and I know if I cant reach them I give them the food to put in front of them!) but sometimes I get lucky and dont get food on me but I get horribly sick the past couple times I have eaten here I have had terrible food poisoning! Im sorry but I dont know why I think it will get better every time I go cause it doesnt get better!

I recently signed up for their eclub and recieved a free breakfast for my birthday. My family and I went in for breakfast today for my birthday. When I went to show them the email for my free breakfast they said they would not honor it since I did not print it. Its time for them to move into todays world with technology. ....people dont print coupons from their phone. Most places just look at the coupon from your phone or it has a barcode for them to scan. This made for a disappointing trip to ihop

The food tasted good and the waitress was very friendly and helpful. However, we watched the bus boys wipe down dirty tables and they did not pick up the syrups off of the table to wipe underneath them. We could still see a lot of dirt on the table when they sat a couple there. We then lifted up our syrups on the end of the table and found an incredible amount of dirt, hair, and crumbs. I was highly disappointed at that point. Makes you wonder what they do when cooking your food.

Just found out that they are under new ownership for the past few months. What a great change. Restaurant is clean, staff is friendly and professional and the food quality is very good. We usually avoided IHOP in the past because everything above was lacking. Sticky tables, wait staff that didnt care and terrible food. Not so here. Better than Village Inn, Perkins and the rest. Will definitely be back.

This is the only IHOP we will eat at in the Des Moines area, service has always been great and so has the food. If you have to wait for a table it usually isnt for vary long and its worth the wait but ask yourself if people are waiting to eat there its because it is a good place and would you really want to eat at a joint that hardly had any costumers.

We go quiet often with one or two grandchildren. They love going there and so do we. They generally order for themselves and tge waitresses or waiters are good with them Tonight my husband and I went. Food and service was great as always. Jason was our server and he was a delight. Thanks, Jason, you are the best!

Ive had good food and great service the couple of times I have been here. We are at IHOP last on mothers day, and as expected there was quite a wait for a seat. Now I know for future reference that they offer call ahead seating, which is much better than trying to entertain a toddler for a 30 minute wait.

Our waiter was very polite, there was hardly anybody there when we went so it was quiet. Most of my husbands food came out exactly how he wanted it but I was pretty disappointed after two attempts and 50 minutes my pancakes were still raw in the middle. We ended up giving up and leaving.

Its was busy and thats how I like it. Order was taken coffee cup left full 20 mins food came out to order waitress did a fantastic job but no name tag (who are you) Would have given excellent rating but no name to give it to.Bathrooms needed attention but understand priorities.

Friendly staff and good food. When we had our party coming in at different times, the man up front was extremely helpful with getting everyone to the right table. Food is the same you would find at any IHOP, so if you typically like that, then you wont be disappointed.

The food is amazing and the staff is friendly. They do often have a wait on weekends in the morning and around the lunch hour as it gets busy. The only negative about this place is our drinks can often go a long time without a refill.

We (party of 2 and a 1yr old) waited for almost an hour and were yold repeatedly "just a few more minutes" after watching multiple people (and bigger groups) that showed up after us be seated we left. Very disappointed.

Food was okay, but not up to the usual IHOP standard. The service was good on my first visit, but a bit spotty on the second. The waitress did not want to give any of her tables enough straws for all the drinks!

Hadnt been to IHOP in almost a year, and I am so glad I came to this one. Our waiter, CJ was very friendly and helpful, and service was very quick. Definitely try the cupcake pancakes if you get a chance.

Really good food for a chain. The Colorado omelet was delicious and the buttermilk pancakes are well done. Not that its terribly easy to screw up pancakes. Service was quick and very friendly.

I have never had a terrible experience. They are fairly quick getting the food out to you. Granted there is usually a fairly long wait on the weekends.
