Order: El Jeffe burrito Price: $11 Pros: Nachos are pretty good, convenient location and open late, they deliver Cons: Pricing seems high, quality of the food is only "decent" Thoughts: A super quick summary of Hightide as a whole would be; slightly overpriced, decent tex-mex, in a convenient location that offers delivery. For me there is a definite order among the tex-mex in Jacksonville, with Chipotle being the undisputed KIng, and Moes taking up the rear. I would say Hightide is somewhere in the middle; its hard lump the entire store in the good or bad category as some of their food is just not very good (most of their simple burritos and tacos) and some of it is ok (El Jefe burrito, nachos, and quesadillas). Ive ordered from here a few times as they deliver to my work and I would rather chew my own arm off than eat at the McDonalds or Taco Bell in the vicinity. Each time its ok but Im really ordering her for the convince if the day is too busy to leave and get food. They often take quite a while to deliver (45 minutes to 1.5 hours) and the food is a bit pricey. Most recently I was working valet in the area and we wanted to get food so I drove by to pick some up, and it did the trick but again nothing super impressive. The one item of note are their nachos, they are pretty good but what I like about them is that when you order them to go, rather than just dumping everything on top of the chips and putting that in a container they split the toppings up. You get one container with the chips, then several smaller containers with the toppings so you can add as much as you want, when you want. Overall Hightide is just as expensive, but not as good as Chipotle. However sometimes you need convenience over quality, in which case Hightide is an ok choice.

I had the opportunity to visit this high propensity location during one of my lunch hours and I want to start by saying DEFINITELY commit that whole hour to your wait here; with that being said, is the FOOD worth the hours may be the burning question: I will be happy to say this just might be the gem you were looking for. I experience the Baha fish tacos this go around as this is soundly their house choice by their menu; I was very happy with not only how fast they were getting these orders out to everyone waiting, but also the quality of how the fish was cooked; not cooked too fast where they "fall apart" and not too long to obvious disappointment, It worked just right and settled my feat of getting something on my attire for the day. My experience outside of food and waiting in line is that a lot of corporate leadership and sales individuals alike were conducting small individual meeting here so if this is your thing I would recommend this being a quick solution for you with some quality food to match. 4/5 only for the hour commitment for the food.

I ordered a delivery online today at 11:39am, I received my confirmation telling me my delivery time is 12:30pm. "Not estimated", but delivery time. I know they get busy so no problem. at 12:50pm I called and inquired about my delivery. I was told that was an estimated time and it is on its way. 30 minutes later the deliveryman walks in. now I could understand the problem if we ordered a huge meal. It was 1 burrito and four tacos. 3 orders????? Takes 95 minutes???? I could also understand if we were 15 miles away. My office is 3 miles from their location. We sent the food back and have no intensions of ordering from there again. If you can not deliver, you shouldnt offer delivery. Just saying!

I ordered delivery from the website. It arrived very quickly. So quickly in fact that I wasnt available when it arrived for about 5 minutes and didnt hear my phone. My delivery driver, Jordan, was SO awesome and stood outside and called me until I heard my phone. They already had my payment, he didnt have to do that. I really appreciated it. I ordered the Paleo burrito and it was really good. The only thing I was disappointed in was the shrimp were teeny tiny. Seeing as we live in a city known for their shrimp, I was expecting fresher and bigger shrimp. Im definitely planning to return though because the customer service was great and everything besides the shrimp was great too!

My co-workers and I frequent High Tide for lunch on a weekly basis. We can rely on the food being pretty tasty but their service is questionable at best. No exaggeration; their kitchen staff ALWAYS manages to get our order(s) wrong EVERY WEEK! After conveying this with management, he unapologetically offered to fix my meal as they always do. I asked for a refund due to frustration. Im giving two stars because regardless of their inability to get an order correct consistently, the food is pretty decent. I spoke to management, but Ill be reaching out to the owner next.

Went here tonight with my son. We usually order from here once or twice a month. Im not sure if that will continue though... I got the chicken ”ultimate burrito” tonight and was surprised to find out that the party of 10 in front of me must have gotten all of the cooked chicken. My chicken burrito consisted only of rice, beans, black pepper and lettuce. The hostess wasnt helpful and said I should have said something earlier. Not good service in my opinion. I'll just drive 5 mins south and go to tijuana flats, where things are consistent.

Finally ordered from here because some coworkers go here for lunch. . Called the order ahead for pick-up and still had to wait over 20 mins for food. The staff were impatient and rude on the phone. Ordered 3 street tacos. The tacos were so dry and they overcharge for an added condiment such as cheese or sour cream (.50 for each taco and each extra add-on). Ordered chips for an additional $1.50 and queso and they were very bland. I am willing to pay extra when the food is good but this was not at all. Will not be returning.

I finally made it to Hightide Burrito, and Ill definitely be going back! The chips are thick and crunchy, and the hot salsa was hot but not too hot. I ordered the spicy chicken milanesa burrito and was blown away by the flavor! It was indeed spicy, but the breaded chicken was oh so delicious! I had heard good things about Hightide, but Id say it definitely exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended if youre in the San Marco area!

Had a terrible experience. I emailed the owners to inform them. Didnt even get a "sorry" as a reply. Then I messaged them again on facebook, I see they read my message but never even acknowledged the poor service and terrible experience with my coworkers. It has been going down hill, so beware if you decide to give them a try. Funny thing, the last few reviews have been 1 stars, so Im not the only one.

Had two breakfast burritos. Thought they were joking when it says there are three scrambled eggs in them. Two was a bit too much but I finished. Pretty good, asked for cilantro. Would be even better if the burritos, my friend had a blackened shrimp burrito, had beans. Beans and burritos are a perfect match. Overall, good food, like that they have a salsa bar. The tomatillo salsa is really nice.
