Im from out of state and ive been looking for some decent traditional americanized (i only say that because if youve been to china this is not the same experience but dont confuse me calling it that with this being in the same league as lee ann chin, its not its far better) chinese food since i got here. Ive eaten at all the chinese food restaurants from chaska to downtown and even driven quite far out of that range to try to find better. I love MN, but the chinese food here is nothing like what i grew up with on either coast. I was about ready to give up and then i tried the local one just a few blocks from my house. I WAS AMAZED!!! China Pagoda was exactly the flavors and experience i was looking for. The staff is very nice, prices are great, they always remember my daughter and send home a lollipop for her. They are a jewel in an otherwise rundown stripmall. Dont let that deter you, go inside for great delicious food. Everything on the menu has been a winner. Id drive an hour for the great service and food i get here but some how i lucked out and theyre right here in my back yard.

I have never experienced such rude service in my life! This was like something out of a movie. After eating the buffet the waiter who had been rude the entire time dropped my 98 cents change so it splashed all over the table. So I left it lay there as his tip. After leaving we were standing in the parking lot chatting and I hear the door to the restaurant open and a handful of change was thrown out into the parking lot . I couldnt believe he just threw my tip out the door! I go back inside and say to him "Did you just throw my tip out the door?" He starts ranting about how Im a stupid american and he has no respect for me. He says that he took a picture of me and is going to post it online. I look to the only other person working in there and she doesnt say a word. I told them I have been coming here for over 15 years and if you want a better tip all you have to do is be polite but he just kept ranting about me being a stupid american so I walked out.Wow.

Today 8/26/17 was as bad as as being pushed into horse manure! The hostess/front desk (aka b***h) was as rude as your worst nightmare!!!! I dont know who bought the place out but since then all quality has gone to the dogs! Said (b***h) we dont have a hold button on our phones. We waited on the phone for fifteen minutes "on hold" but yet this inconsiderate woman was the rudest person I have ever met!!! Even in front of other customers!!!! She was rude on the phone, all we wanted to do was to tell her that was poor customer service and she blew up at us not once, not twice, not even three times!!! But four times!!! In front of other customers!!!! Yes!!! I can add more to this but Im just not in the mood! Just pissed off (new management)...

Ive eaten at China Pagoda often over the past several years and, despite having changed hands in the last two years, it is still one of the best Chinese restaurants at which Ive eaten. The food, particularly the buffet, is always fresh. The staff make smaller portions and rotate the food often in the buffet, so none of the food looks or tastes like its "heatlamped". The prices are reasonable, the environment is always clean and the staff is always friendly. All-in-all, this is a highly recommended spot for some delicious Chinese food.

This food was AMAZING!!! Newer to the area and thought we would try supper here and were so impressed. It seems as though ppl order out a lot more than eat in cuz we were the only ones there for supper for about a half hour at 5:30pm then one other group came in while we were there. WILL definitely return, had the chicken fried rice, Kung pao chicken and Szechwan chicken all were DELICIOUS. Cant say enough GOOD about this place. we are excited to return for the buffet.

Been going here for YEARS! Always has held an exceptional quality of food and service. Take out is great too. My favorite is the Cantonese Pan Fried Vegetable Noodles. And you havent had cream cheese wantons till you eat in and have China Pagoda cream cheese wantons. Everyone loves cream cheese wantons! Hope to visit for years to come. BTW- Is one of the only asian restaurants I know that does not use MSG. Big plus... Deal maker/breaker really. .. Go to China Pagoda!

I had the Beef Lo Mein and egg rolls doing take out. I ordered there. They were very friendly and I only waited a few minutes for my food. When I got home and ate it, it was delicious. The egg rolls were the best Ive had for as long as I can remember, and the price very reasonable. This was my first time eating from there, since I just moved here. I will be going regularly as long as they keep it up!!

Ate there last Friday night and boy, has this place declined since even a few years ago. Lukewarm Jasmine Tea tasted and smelled like they got the water out of the fish tank, the Singapore Rice Noodles were indicated as spicy but wasnt... the whole dish was served lukewarm and there were only 5 other customers in the joint besides out table. Couldnt believe how bad it was!

What a great experience my boyfriend and I had tonight at this place! Prompt, professional and friendly customer service as soon as we walked through the door. The man who served us was a delight. The food was fresh, and to be honest, was some of the best Chinese food I had ever had. I was beyond happy with our experience. Would recommend to a friend :)

I dont know what these other reviewers are talking about, because I LOVE China Pagoda!! I cant say Ive been to the buffet before but, as a service industry worker, buffets are typically not the best thing to review a restaurant off of!! Ive been getting to-go orders from here for years and Id drive an hour just to get theirs over anywhere else!

This lo mein was by far the best Ive ever had. Its super quaint-- we were the only ones there at the time-- but dont let it fool you!! The food is sooo unbelievably good and also, they have wonderful egg rolls-- which, in my opinion-- is a very tricky attribute to come by. I would definitely eat here again if I rolled through Chaska again.

As a chaska native I have loved this place for years. Little known, but you can get the buffet to go for $6.95. You get a big styrafoam container that you can overflow with food. It is usually lunch for 2 days for me. And that would be 2 good lunches. My favorites- honey chicken, sesame chicken, general tsos, and the cream cheese puffs.

A Nondescript building and decor. The food was AWESOME. Too many menu items though. If you complain about no giant buffet, you are likely morbidly obese. Gluttony is sinful, I am sure the owners are frightened when you walk in the door. We enjoyed our made to order meals very much. Rock on China Pagoda. We will stop in again soon.
