Dont let the name "tea room" scare you off, thinking this is a frou-frou, fancy, uncomfortable kind of place. The Wisteria is a very laid-back, relaxing place to enjoy lunch with friends. Located in a historical house on 2nd street, it is tastefully decorated. Its not one of those tea rooms filled with lace & flowers that would make a man turn around at the door & run! Ive seen men there as well, so dont think youd be uncomfortable if youre a man! Of course, they have bizillions of hot & cold teas to offer, but Im most impressed with the food. It is absolutely incredible!!! Ive been there three times & every time was consistent as far as atmosphere, service, & food quality. In fact, Im going back tomorrow with my lady neighbors--its our new favorite place to go for lunch. You will NOT be disappointed!! I read the review by newyorklondon below, and Im sorry they had a bad "tea" experience, but this place is absolutely FANTASTIC!! Try it for yourself, you will not be disappointed!!

A friend and I stopped in on a whim once... and was absolutely wowwed! Now we live in different parts of the country, but manage to have our "tea-time" as often as possible. When we do get together, we keep adding friends to the party! As to the bitter person that was turned away just before 3... really? You come across as the type of person that wants to walk into a retail store 2 minutes before their posted closing time and shop for an hour. I have never felt rushed, and have enough sense to plan ahead and make reservations. Our trip there today took considerably longer than the 20 minutes... It was more like an hour and a half! And I see from your other reviews, all you ever do is complain and give everybody poor reviews.

My friends and I have been coming here for the past year and its our favorite thing to do on a Saturday afternoon. Weve been about 4 or 5 times and yet the experience is always new. We try different teas every time and they are always so tasty! And we enjoy having lunch as well. We usually get either the Mac n Cheese with a side of the Chicken and Wild Rice Soup (my favorite) and the Turkey on the Croissant sandwich. Even when its packed the service is a little slow, the expereince is pleasant. The gift shop is also my favorite part, it has so many beautiful things! We love Bobbie, she is iconic to Wisteria just as much as the tea. We cant wait to go back again!

I was turned at the door today at 2:40 (14:40) and was told that they are closing at 3pm, and it is almost 3pm. So, how is 2:40 almost 3pm? When the sign on the door says closing 3pm... that means that customer can walk in at precisely 3pm, and should not be refused to be served. I dont know how a business prospers with such an attitude, and it looked to me that the owner herself was behind the register saying that to me. This was going to be my 2nd time. Looks like I will not be going for more.

Simply delicious and way more fun than Afternoon Tea/Lunch should be! Just left a wonderful group of 12 women who lunched at the fabulous Wisteria Tea Room and Cafe. The food and service is excellent. The teas are tasty and refreshing and the ambiance better than any restaurant around. The Gift Shop is worth the trip but dont forget to order some frozen unbaked scones to take home and cook whenever you like. Take the time to step back in time to when everything is done just right!

We didnt have a reservation so it was questionable if we would would even get in. We had to wait quite awhile, but Bobbi couldnt have been any nicer. The service was great and all the food and dessert was delicious. Oh yes, the tea was wonderful... last tango tea was our fav. The restaurant itself is very cute and quaint. I loved the different cups and saucers. I would recommend Wisteria Tea Room for your next special occasion or just to enjoy a good lunch,

I made reservations for my grandmothers bachelorette party with my mom and younger sister(16 yrs old). All of us thoroughly enjoy tea to begin with, but haveing the variety of teas threw us for a spin....we couldnt get enough! The food was absolutely delicious! I have already suggested this place to several other people! Only down fault I would say is, I wish they were opened longer....only because I could probably spend all day there sipping on tea!!!

Looking for a quaint little tea room, well look no further. Wisteria is the top spot for tea with well informed and friendly staff you will feel like you are part of a family by the time you leave. Feeling hungry as well, well you wont be by the time you leave. I split a rueben and a meatloaf sandwich with my uncle there was no room for dessert. Tea rooms arent just for the ladies, that was one manly meal! Thanks Wisteria for a wonderful experience!

The Wisteria never ceases to please! Having grown up in England, I simply love tea and all the traditions of afternoon tea. The Wisteria excels in this department. With delicious lunch sandwiches and salads, towering trays of tea-time delicacies, and an endless array of amazing teas, this place is by far the most fun Ive had at tea-time since being in the UK! I cannot recommend the Wisteria highly enough!

My sister-of-the-heart introduced me to the Wisteria Tea Room, to Bobbi and her awesome staff and the "Royal Tea". What a wonderful introduction to the world of High Tea. I could not do the Tea Room justice with mere words. The tea, the food, the service all were so much more than I expected. I LOVE this place and will return again and again and again. I also love the gift shop - wonderful!

I absolutely love going to Wisteria Tea Room...I live nearby in Fort Myers and have eaten there dozens of times. EVERY time it is fantastic. Always keep on going back! Theyve just expanded the interior to give more room for their gift store. Their taste is spot on for great gifts and surprises. You can purchase Gift Cards on their website too!

Had afternoon tea at the Ritz in London last week for $75. THIS WAS BETTER! Scones were better, desserts better and sandwiches better. The Ritz sandwiches were just slices of white bread with filling. Wisteria had an amazing quiche, specialty breads and fillings. Whatever brands of tea they are using..also better...and available to buy.
