I was so excited to find a organic vegan cafe! I ate there about a month ago with my sister, they didnt let you know if you should seat yourself or if they would do it, we stood at the counter for a good 10 mins before anyone even said hello, once we ordered our food and sat down someone sat down someone elses food at our table.. TWICE. Once we finally got our food we wanted salt-and-pepper. I went up to ask Chef Brooke if I could have some and she points sounds of the end of the counter saying that "its down that way" I walked down to the end but couldnt find it. They have them in a fancy little containers that I just didnt notice and a bunch of other little knick knacks on the counter.. So anyway, I had to go ask again and she rudely says "you dont see them? Just look down there!" After about 5 mins of looking around I eventually found them ON MY OWN. I also ordered a vegan cookie while I was there.. It had nuts in it, that wasnt on the label so I had to return it to get a different item and she just gave me an attitude about it. Since the food was good I decided to give it another try today with some friends of mine. Thinking that maybe she was just having a bad day... It happens! Nope. Again very rude. There was only one table open and it was not cleaned. So the 5 of us stood there for about 15 mins or more waiting for someone. To come around and clean it. I asked for a high chair for my little one and it took a good 35 mins to get it. Again, they also say 2 random plates of food that didnt belong to us on our table. One plate of food that a member of our party ordered was just sat on the counter and I guess he was expected to get up and get it himself and know it was there? I asked if they could bring out my sons muffin so he could have something to snack on while we waited on the main dish and it too took about 30 mins to get. (Keep in mind the muffins are ready and sitting in a container reddy to be passed out) There needs to be more staff if you are going to be that busy. Customer service is a huge part of business.. You simply can not be rude to costumers. The food was amazing but Im not sure Ill be back :/ Its a very cute little place, but there just needs more costumer service! Someone standing in the front telling people where to sit or say seat yourself, saying that you order here... Weather you pay before or after. Someone making sure tables are kept clean and high chairs are brought in a quick manner! (Or maybe keep them up front so people can grab it them self if they are too busy at the moment) NO ONE wants to stand/sit with a wiggly fussy toddler for 35 mins. It takes the enjoyment out of a lunch out of the house REAL quick.

Im not sure why the previous comments are so positive, I had a horrendous experience at chef brookes today. I was excited to find a healthy restaurant in the ft myers area, but I will continue my search for other places. The service was incredibly slow, Brooke was incredibly rude to myself, my friend, and her staff. There was hair in my food (once we finally got it) I can not support a business that so blatantly disrespects its decent paying customers. On the way out, instead of thanking us for coming, we were accused of not paying our bill (you pay the bill at the register when you order.) They even followed me out to my car to tell me that Brooke was denying the fact that she took our money. I had the receipt and they apologized and said they had experienced a rush and were short staffed. Long story short, brookes was a terrible experience and a waste of time and money. I am angry and insulted and I wont be returning.

I went to Chef Brookes Natural Cafe today and I will NEVER return again!!!!!! Madam Brooke has the worst attitude I have ever come across in my life. My family and I are from Jersey, Channel Islands, U.K and we own a property in Fort Myers. I am a raw vegan. I placed my order for all sorts of food to take away today and she told me that I was not allowed to stand by the counter and wait for my order and that I had to sit at a table. I told her that I did not wish to take up a table as I was waiting for a take away, and that it was not fair to other people that wish to eat in. She was so very rude to me, that I walked out and went to ADAS just up the road. Now I can totally recommend Adas for wonderful food, juices and everything healthy, plus there is another wonderful vegan restaurant called the Loving Hut, on Pine Ridge Road, Naples. First impressions are critical to the success of a business. Repeat business is gold. As I walked into this small, dark space, I saw a woman behind the counter. I explained to her that this was my first visit to the "restaurant". Instead of welcoming a new customer, she handed me a soiled menu and rambled through the offerings. As I was waiting for my order, I watched her interact with her employee. It was rather uncomfortable to watch her reprimand the employee in front of other customers. She seemed to be so miserable. I am going to assume she was the owner because she had mentioned to another customer that she wanted to hire someone that wouldnt come with any drama. Something tells me that no matter who she hires ... there will be drama involved due to her own negative attitude. Its a shame. I was really hoping to find a great vegan hangout. No such luck.

I really enjoy the food at this restaurant. Ive never been disappointed with anything Ive ordered as its always been fresh and full of flavor. Im a little surprised to see so many reviews saying chef Brook was rude seeing how she has always been friendly and enthusiastic whenever Ive been there. My one complaint is the service can be a little on the slow side. Im pretty sure chef Brook cooks all the food herself as well as run the counter so its not very efficient and can take awhile to get your food. That being said I still feel the food is worth the wait for fresh, unique, and healthy food.

The food is good but they lack organization and customer service. They were really busy so when we arrived we had no idea how it worked. I guess you are supposed to just order your food and then find a seat? But we were a party of 5 so we all got our food out randomly. They also brought out some but not others and didnt inform us that one dish was on the counter. The workers also werent very helpful when it came to everything and Brooke had a bad attitude. We had to take initiative to find out about everything. Just wasnt the experience we expected.
