Read some of the common denominators of this establishments online reviews. Simply put.....they could care less about their customers. Will never return, and will do our best to spread this info to my local family and friends. The way our family was treated at check-out was outrageous for any business, let alone a small local mom/pop. Especially considering, from what I understand, it was the owner who cashed our group out. Here is a slight example of our encounter: After ordering complete meals and some beverages for everyone in our party of adults, at check -out the owner refused to believe my wife did not order a beverage of any type. So much so that he went down a list of beverages ( bottled water, coffee, tea, etc) that she must have ordered. When told....again....as he mentioned each beverage individually....we politely answered NO, as we told you at the beginning she did not order a beverage of any type, we got the smart alleck comment..."well, thats just very hard to believe". Really? Really? Whats hard to believe, is that you would suggest, as a small business owner that survives through customer service, that as a 50 year old adult, we would lie about a $2 beverage. The attitude of this person did not stop there however, and continued throughout the check out process. With not only us, but others in our party as they paid their respective bills. I do understand that everyone is entitled to having a bad day, but this was simply over the top unacceptable. Several other reviews of this place have mentioned the Uppity or Snippity attitude from the service personnel and management at this place, and this can be confirmed and was witnessed by our group. As a life long resident of Ft Myers, I will never step foot back in this establishment. Too many other places here locally that actually provide both fantastic food/atmosphere and Great service from its staff. ** YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED **

My husband and I, with our toddler, visited the Sweet Bean Cafe due to their Living Social promotion. We were a little weary at first because they do not have high chairs or allow strollers inside (strollers due to the narrow aisles, Im sure, which is fair) and they do not serve tap water, only bottled. HOWEVER, once our food arrived, I was sorry I second guessed this place. WOW!!!! I had their quiche special with hash browns and cinnamon toast and my husband ordered the omelet and a blueberry muffin. What delicious, fresh food. The eggs were light and the hash browns were homemade. The muffin was served warm as was the cinnamon toast, and both were mouthwatering. We enjoyed our server, who was attentive and friendly but also gave us space. This place is a little more pricy for food than its neighbor competitor, but honestly it was worth it. The portions were large so the prices were fair. I took home a peanut butter fudge cupcake, which was muffin sized, and it was so rich and dense and chocolatey. Awesome place, highly recommended. Its not your typical Florida breakfast joint; youd see something like this in downtown Raleigh. Unique!!!

The Sweet Bean has delicious food (omelets, bakery cakes/muffins, bagel sandwiches), although it takes a little while to get the food so leave 5-10 minutes for kitchen orders depending on how busy they are. Their house specialty Toffee Coffee is very good as well, sweet and creamy with samples for anyone who wants to try it first. The atmosphere of the store is dark and cozy, with several different seating areas including standard cafe tables and couches/upholstered chairs. Their morning barista remembered me on my second days visit and started learning my preferences right away.

One of the best cafes you will ever find! Everything I have ever had here (breakfast or lunch) has been delicious from the menu to the cakes to the toffee coffee! They make the best French Toast Ive ever had and if you like sausage, its incredible. It has such a comfortable feel when you walk in, and its a place you can stay for hours and work, read or just enjoy a conversation. My wife and I go to Sweet Bean at least twice a week and have for years, give it a try, you wont be disappointed.

This was awful . Do not go there if you have kids you are treated so poorly. It says on the door no strollers, high seats or coloring books which might as well say no kids allowed. Anyway we just wanted a coffee. I went in and felt looked down on because I have a kid. My young son touched some antiques and was told dont touch that! I felt like if he was too loud we were going to be kicked out. the coffee is yucky I hear. I ll stick with Starbucks.

My friend and I went here for breakfast/coffee with my 7 month old. They dont have high chairs and dont allow strollers which wasnt a big deal. My baby was being to loud and we were asked to sit outside (no shade and no fan). We decided to leave and the owner/manager wouldnt even look at my friend when she tried to ask what to do about the coffee we barely even drank. I have never been treated so poorly by someone before.

The food is awesome, but the attitude will make you lose your appetite. Superior Customer Service only in the sense that they have a Superiority Complex and treat their customers like something they need to scrape off their shoe. The food is very tasty, but the dine-in experience leaves a lot to be desired. Very unprofessional, embarrassed to take guests there, but I still occasionally get take-out.

Honestly this establishment had extremely slow service . the owner/manager was one of the most rude encounters I have ever had . The cafe was NOT a family friendly place . The employees do not like kids or families even when you walk in it says no strollers or buggies . The aditude made me loose my appetite.

The food here is fine, but if you have children they suggest "hiring a babysitter for your special day out". The staff was pretentious when we entered with our toddler, so we left and walked to the nearby First Watch. They have crayons and breakfast food, a win for all parents. Go there instead.

This place? Can NOT go wrong! Best food, friendly staff, coffee to belly crawl across a shopping mall parking lot filled with broken glass for. The cinnamon French toast is like dangling crack rocks in front of a rehab center...Not that Id do something like that...BUT. Yeah, its THAT good!

Ive been going here for a few years now, and have never been disappointed. Their coffee is excellent, and their food is fresh and delicious. The interior is beautifully decorated, and the service is wonderful. This is one of my favorite restaurants/coffee shops in the Fort Myers area!!!!!

Great food, excellent service, extremely reasonable prices. It has warm/inviting decor...an all around wonderful experience. I have tried to post a review before, but they keep disappearing. Try this gem of a cafe...the coffee is fantastic!!!!!

Great coffee shop and breakfast spot. Serves terrific locally-roasted coffee. And the best corned beef hash in town. They will even serve you breakfast while you sit on their comfy couch. Highly recommended.

We stopped by here on our way out of town to have breakfast with a friend and it was wonderful. The food was great and the service was fairly quick. We will definitely stop by again when we are in the area.
