Pedimos: Lasagna alla Bolognese with béchamel sauce. Demasiada ricaaaa!! No les puedo explicar!! Hace rato he estado buscando un restaurante que hagan la lasagna en salsa blanca!! Veal Portobello with gorgonzola cheese and flounder with capers. Definitivamente vamos a regresar!!!

We have not been there in over year as it is kind of like the place you forget about and when you go back its like "why did I not come back sooner?" The reason to go back of course is the food and service, but having a $50 Groupon sure does help! First the service, when we walked in the door, the MaitreD welcomed us in like we were best friends and that makes you feel so good, especially when it is genuine. Unlike when you go into these chain restaurants where it is a some 20 year old with an ear piece listening to big brother. Once we sat down bread and a garlic oil dipping sauce was placed down. Super de-lish but if you dont love garlic then ask for some butter. I ordered the house Chianti and it was very acceptable and then the waiter who was from Italy read the specials and it sounded like we were in Sicily. Next thing I know there was bruschetta delivered to our table which had just the right amount of oil and flavor. As our main courses arrived it was beautifully presented and the portions were just right. So much so that we actually ordered desert which was a heart shaped chocolate dipped chocolate cake with vanilla bean ice cream. The perfect ending to a wonderful dining experience.

The first time we dined at Cafe Vico the food, service, and ambience were great. This time around, one hour passed between appetizer and entree, which we were willing to accept for great food. The worst part of the experience is that I was served linguini Alfredo with bacon instead of Carbonara, which was recommended by the waiter. The sauce had no egg, no cracked pepper, etc. It was just their Alfredo sauce with a few pieces of bacon on top. It was insulting to try to pass that off as carbonara, considering the price paid for the dish and Vicos reputation. I find it completely unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliber. I know the restaurant was very busy that night, but cutting corners on entrees for times sake is very poor. For this reason, we will not be back. The meatballs and drinks were great, however. Overall, we were very disappointed.

3 of us went at someones recommendation 2 weeks ago. Menu says it has the best Lasagna in Broward County but it was awful!! My first clue should have been when I asked the waiter was the meat ground beef or Italian Sausage and he said ground beef. Well it was more like ground with bread crumbs and not a speck of any type of tomato sauce anywhere. Cheese??? A sprinkling on top. Filling was between too soft pasta layers was onions and diced potatoes; more like a very tasteless Shepards Pie than anything else. Thats was not any Italians mommas lasagna for sure, to the pity. Very disappointing and expensive for that. However, pretty place. I am in the Hospitality business and very careful with my reviews. I had to make this one. Careful.

Im visiting Ft. Lauderdale for a couple of days. I was feeling like Italian. I was going to the Parker Playhouse this evening, so I looked up their recommended restaurants. I saw Cafe Vico. The menu looked good, so I headed down. When I pulled into the parking lot, I first thought, "whats this place in the corner of a strip mall?" I learned that its truly a diamond in the rough!! Cafe Vico was fabulous. The inside is absolutely gorgeous and spacious with lovely decor. The waitstaff was terrific. Of course, the food was splendid. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a classic Italian meal. Wonderful. Ill remember this place when I visit again!

Ate dinner there last night and was pleasantly surprised by the service, food and ambiance. I was greeted at the door and led to the bar area to await the rest of the dinner party. Bar was comfortable with immediate service. We were seated at our table and were welcomed by our service, Allison, who was very attentive during the entire meal. Would definitely dine there again and again especially after having dine at another Italian restaurant on Friday night which left much to be desired in terms of food. Again our server was outstanding but unfortunately she couldnt compensate for the food. Cafe Vico will become one of our favorite restaurants.

I made the mistake of purchasing a coupon. My husband I were treated like second class citizens from the moment we followed the instructions of the coupon to let our waiter know we HAD a coupon. Food was fine; nothing special; but given the negative VIBE; that was last time for me.....and NO... it was not my first time there. Final thought, they added the gratuity to a 2 person table...really? I was insulted. DON"T SELL COUPONS IF YOU ARE GOING TO TREAT PURCHASERS LIKE @#%$. Not going again to Cafe Vico or purchasing any restaurant coupon!

Disappointing. The menu is best described as eclectic which is a nice way of saying "all over the place." My wife had a badly over cooked risotto with a bland seafood medley that consisted mostly of rubber calamari. I was barely able to find my veal under too much sauce and cheese. Its located in a half full "C" strip mall so no view of any kind although the interior is fine. The locals next to us had a Groupon :-/ so Im guessing blue hairs with 2 for 1s keep the place going.

I went here for Lunch on a Wednesday afternoon and the food was delicious. I had the seafood ravioli and my friend had the lasagna. Both came with a side of salad, I think there was another option, but we choose the salad. However, I was a bit disappointed because the salad seemed to have come straight from the prepared bags of salad mix. Our server was not aware of the wine selections and didnt introduce herself. The place has potential and food is great. I would go again.

Ive been eating at Cafe Vico for the past 12 years, I remember when used to be only one room with just few tables. The restaurant has grow and the food and service quality still the same. I believe that if you dont want to be in a restaurant that is loud you should go 5:30pm or order food to go and eat in your home. I think that if its a busy restaurant probably because the food is good. Congrats Marcos and his staff for excellent service and food.
