After having stayed away for 8 or 9 months due to inconsistencies in their food (and arrogant bartenders) blamed on a new chef, I decided to take my wife to Timpanos for her birthday dinner. They knew it was her birthday as I had made reservations stating so. Once again, the steak was overcooked. We sent it back and were visited a short while later by the manager, Steve. Well, Steve said that he disagreed the steak was overcooked and told us that we cannot be satisfied; that Lobster Bar Sea Grille is probably for us. I was surprised he said this, and then told us "We deserve the right to refuse service to anyone." I asked him if he was kicking us out, and he said yes!!! I have never, ever been treated so rudely!! And at a restaurant on Las Olas! Wait, Im not finished ... he then told us that if we dont pay our bill, he will call the police on us!!! Seriously??? Keep in mind that I valetd our new BMW convertible at Timpanos, were dressed very nicely, and are professionals, not rif-raf. Steve actually said that hed call the police on us. I told him Im shocked to be treated that way and wed never return, obviously. One the way out, we spoke with an employee about it who said Steve probably wouldnt last as the manager. Doesnt surprise me. Weve been to every restaurant on Las Olas and I can assure you that Timpanos is the worst. Try Luigi Bossis, or 401 Grille. Lobster Bar is alway as good choice. But steer clear of Timpanos!!!

Had dinner for two around 5:30 PM and the experience was everything I wanted it to be. At that time the restaurant wasnt busy (it started getting busy around 6:30 PM) so the noise levels were low, allowing me to enjoy the conversation. The ambiance of the restaurant was great and everything was clean. Be aware that on Saturdays they only serve dinner service starting at 5 PM, and the live music doesnt start until 7 PM, so plan accordingly if you want to be part of your night. Even though we didnt get a chance to enjoy the live music, they were playing soft music on the background. The music, paired with the mood lighting, made for great ambiance. The service was also top notch. I cant say it would be the same during peak hour since our waiter, Chris, only had our table and I think one other to tend to when we arrived, but he was great. He checked on us frequently and our drinks were always being replenished. The food was impeccable and the mashed potatoes were to die for. I highly recommend them. All in all, a five star dining experience. You cant go wrong. Enjoy!

Ive been here many times over the years. This was the first time in awhile. Glad I went, specifically because Gabi makes a margarita so well that I had a few of them. This says a lot. Im not tequila fan. My first experience many moons ago has stuck with me. I tried to drive my car into the ocean, I walked into a wall in front of my best friends mom, and I was hungover for 3 days. Ouchie. I met Esra and Karin here after work and they were enjoying gorgeous, fragrant, and tall Margaritas. So I enjoyed a sip. And another. And another. Good job, Gabi. We also enjoyed some sorta prosciutto and roast beef and cheese and bread point platter and it delivered right to Scoresville. Excellent service. Good and appropriate vibe and energy. Im coming back for a full and total meal, and will consider granting that coveted, 5th star then. Good stuff.

Enjoyed my time at the Timpanos in Tampa, so we tried the one in Fort Lauderdale. The food was good, ambience was nice, and the music was great. Sinatra-style, laid back, and it fit the evenings mood. Our patio waiter was exceptional. It was very cool and windy outside, he made sure we had heaters and kept checking on us, along with the several other tables he had. My only complaint was the hostess who greeted us. We were late for our reservation and she kept repeating the original reservation time as though she had already given our table away. Seeing that we walked by several on the patio to get to the restaurant I knew that wasnt true. She was unprofessional and rude, hopefully she learns how to do her job better. The paying customer who had a reservation should not receive attitude...EVER!!! Despite her, a good evening!

Have a snack before you get seated. My date and I shared crab cakes for an appetizer. For our entrées she had the Lobster Ravioli while I had the Shrimp Fra Diablo. While we both enjoyed our dishes, we were both left still hungry. I actually caught my poor date with a spoon trying to get the last of the sauce on her plate. I’d expect to walk away a little more satisfied for the price that was paid. Don’t get me wrong… it’s a decent enough place. The ambiance was nice, the service was good and the food was delicious. I just wish the portion size was a little more accommodating.

Timpano is a lovely restaurant with great food and a busy and fun atmosphere. Happy hour is a bargain - $5 for most cocktails and $4 glasses of wine. The main restaurant isnt inexpensive by any means, but the quality of food is extremely high. Clams were delicious, as was my NY strip steak. I ordered my steak medium rare, and it came out medium well. However my waiter saw me cut into the steak, noticed it wasnt cooked correctly, and told me a new steak was on its way. No place can be perfect, but when it comes to fixing mistakes, the staff is incredibly professional here.

I love everything.. The atmosphere was great.. I went there yesterday for Valentines Dinner with me and my boyfriend.. Our reservation was for 8:15 pm, we got there @ 8:12 pm.. We were seated right away.. Our waitress was amazing.. We were served periodically, which I loved because I hate waiting on service.. Our waitress came to us after each dish and asked how the food was.. The owner even came up and asked how everything was.. I loved it.. Definitely going back #HAPPYCUSTOMER

Unbearable arrogance. We were previous customers and had liked the food. One evening at 5:30 we went to dinner without reservations. After many minutes of waiting while the hostess talked on the phone, the maitre d approached us and said: "May I help you" as though we werent there to dine. He seated us outside the empty dining room saying that all the tables were reserved. We ate outside and left one and a half hours later. The dining room was almost empty

Ate here for mothers day. The server was courteous and very attentive and the wait between ordering and meals wasnt long at all. Their drink Bottled Sunshine is absolutely delicious as was everything we ordered. My only complaint is the mold on one of the raspberries in the drink my sister ordered. It wasnt noticed until near the end of the meal. Please be more careful with that stuff.

The food was fantastic, but it took a little longer than I liked. Not my kind of place (theyre kind of pretentious) but I can absolutely appreciate the effort they put into everything here so I cant give less than 5 stars. Would recommend to friends who are into this kind of thing, Im way too low brow to see myself ever coming back though.
