If I can give less than 1 star, I would. I went last night for a bday dinner... NEVER AGAIN. 1. Someones drink took 45 mins to get to the table and when it finally came out, there was a bug in it. (This was after multiple attempts of reminding the staff attending our table). FYI, THIS WAS THE FIRST BUG ENCOUNTER. 2. A hair was found in the food immediately after the plate was set down, and when the server was made aware, instead of immediately taking the plate away and apologizing, he goes, "uhm where?? I dont see the hair" we STILL got charged for the food and all they did was make a new plate to go. No apologizes were given and the staff made it seem like it was our fault. 3. My entree was an appetizer and I told the waitress that I wanted it when all the appetizers came out. However, the waitress persuaded and reassured me that entrees will come out with everyone elses. IT DID NOT, IT CAME OUT LAST. This gave me the impression that they completely forgot to put my order in, and as everyone was finishing their plate, my dish finally came out. STUFFED MUSHROOMS DO NOT TAKE LONG COMPARED TO THE ENTREES that other people got. 3. As we all finished eating, someone pointed to the wall and there was a GIANT ROACH CRAWLING!!!! We all freaked out! And instead of trying to calm us down, apologize, etc, the SAME WAITER, from the hair incident, rudely told us to SHUT UP. 4. When it came to the bill, instead of asking everyone if its individual or separate, they put it all on one check, and didnt take anything off- some people left early and already paid separate bills, and STILL left those ALREADY PAID FOR food items and drinks on the final tab. All in all, this place is very unorganized... and it wasnt even that busy on a THURSDAY night. I cant even imagine what the experience would have been like on the weekend.

Years ago it used to be a restaurant featuring good, decently priced dishes. Fast forward to present time, and things are quite different. Although food quality has somehow managed remain the same average, with the exception of reduced portions on some appetizers and main courses, prices have gone up. And while the food may be ok for the herds, who love to eat ronzoni pasta with tons of ragu sauce, in my opinion the food still lacks the Luigi homemade touch to make it Italiano. Of course, staff does not speak a word of Italian, so it makes no sense having a gal greeting people with "bouna sera". What I found to be very tacky, is the manager, running the show, over intrusive, and bossing the floor staff, to a point of being a nuisance to patrons. Yes, he is a pain. This guy needs to learn some people skills because he is a wolf under a sheep skin. Then the carpet was nasty and sticky to the shoes, a sign it has likely been there since the days of Jackie Gleason, enduring hundreds of accidental spills among many other involuntary contributions from staff and patrons. So, will Alfred the Great, King George, Queen Anne and Co. dine here? Absolutely. What about Nero and Caligula? Definitely not.

My sister and I was there last night at the lounge area. We had the best server ever, name is Natalia. We got the happy hour of 2 4 1 appetizers. We had the shrimp crunchy rolls and calamari Palermo. We also had the 3 4 1 cocktails. We had the Mojitos, she makes the best Mojitos and trust me weve had alot of Mojitos from different restaurants. I always have a great time at Mama Mias. I have never been disappointed. Well be there tmr, Sunday for their brunch day special of, endless small plates, bottomless mimosas, ect. Thanks Natalia for being so patient, making the best drinks, and answering all our questions. Youre awesome! ☺ Im backkk....lol..I did go there for their Sunday Brunch on July 16, and its everything they said that it would be. I had endless everything. Loll! Bottomless mimosas, all you can eat dishes including sushi and also fresh made breakfast of 3 or 4 choices, if you want. My server was Peter and he was cool. We did have a misunderstanding, but the manager in charge took care of it right away. I will definitely be back for their Sunday Brunch!

I have no idea why the other reviews are claiming to have the best Italian food in their lives here, because that was most definitely the experience we had. THERE WAS A ROACH ON THE WALL. It was full grown. Found a bug in one of the drinks. ♤ The waiters were unorganized in helping us, we were one of the biggest parties on the night. ESPECIALLY on Thursday. Imagine on a busy night. ♤ The AC didnt work ♤ Never asked us if it was separate bills, so it was a mess to split the bill ♤ saying they would remove items because they messed up the order and didnt do it. They even charged a dish that wasnt part of our group. ♤ pricey ♤ I ordered chicken Marsala. It was warm, but not hot. I can deal with that. There was hair the dish. So I asked the manager to do something and they asked me where the hair was (look I understand its your job but he was rude) ♤ replaced my food but I dont know if its the same food reheated. they said it wasnt but at this point, I do not trust this place Bottom line: I would not go back to this place, and would not recommend it either.

We stopped here Saturday night based on its good reviews, location in "cute" downtown Hollywood, and streetside seating. We had the veal parmigian and lobster-sauce rigatoni with pasta fagioli and a canoli for desert. Positives: good service, good portion size (consistent with other reviews). Cool looking with interesting lighting and machined copper accents. Of course location is good if downtown Hollywood/Young Circle is your thing. Negatives: food very average, something like you would warm up out of the freezer section of the grocery store, i.e. something worth $8 not $15 (or $26+ as are many of the plates). I know good Italian when I find it -- I have even found it down here -- but this is not it. Waiter did not have much knowledge of the wine list or wine in general. And the music was way out of place - Will Smith, N-Sync, and Backstreet Boys is not what I want to hear at a supposed fine dining Italian restaurant. Bottom line: this is your typical south florida restaurant - all about location and looks but the food is so-so.

So my fiends and I decided to check out this place after seeing them on Deco Drive and then on Bite with Belkys from channel 7 News. We immediately loved the atmosphere on a Thursday night which has some great ladies night specials. My best friend has been there before and didn’t even want to see the menu as she always gets the Penne alla vodka. After tasting her dish, I can see why. The sauce was incredible. We even joked with out waiter that you can put that on a flip flop and it would taste delicious. I had the Filet Mignon Courvoisier which was a very pleasant delight. The fettuccini Alfredo was a perfect side dish to a properly cooked filet. After dinner we enjoyed a homemade tiramisu with the perfect velvet texture to put me in a sleepy mode. My friends and I always joke that we know the food is good if all we want to do is nap right after. Overall, an outstanding restaurant and value for the price and we are already talking about going back this Sunday for their famous brunch. Thanks to all the staff at Mama Mias!
