Being form northern NJ myself, I am always searching for a taste of home in Florida. My standard is East Coast Pizza in Riverview, it is a mile from home and they make great everything. After seeing a commercial for this place on TV a few dozen times I finally gave into the lure of a true northern NJ style pizza. After catching a movie at the Brandon AMC, I ordered a large sausage pizza and a chicken parmigiana as take out from Pomodoro. As an added bonus, Sundays special is a half priced entrée with a pizza order. These are the two items I use to determine if I will visit again. Without a doubt, I will visit Pomodoro again. The pizza: Everything was great about this pizza. The combination of ingredients was perfect. The outer crust was cooked perfect. If I had to find some faults in the pizza, I wish the large pie was 18" instead of 16". My wife said the crust was a little too thick, but I dont agree with her. The chicken parmigiana: Its a complete entrée. It is served with a salad and bread. The salad was fresh. We wished the bread was garlic bread, but it was just bread (however, still good). The chicken parmigiana is on bed of spaghetti and came an ample amount of sauce. My wife really liked that they were heavy on the sauce without having to ask for it. The chicken was excellent. The spaghetti may have been an little undercooked, but I am not sure anymore since my wife always overcooks hers. The rundown: Pomodoro and East Coast Pizza are equals when it comes to pizza. They taste a little different, but both are excellent. I am torn between the two chicken parmigiana. I think Pomodoros chicken parmigiana is better, but East Coasts spaghetti is better (and gives an option for penne instead). Pomodoro is $2 less expensive, but East Coasts portion is a little bigger. East Coast also gives garlic bread instead of plain bread. In my case, East Coast will remain my regular pizza since it is so close to home. Pomodoro will be a special treat when I go to the movies. I am already anxious to try a personal 10" pizza, the cheese steak and the lasagna.

A neighborhood pizza joint. I love holes in the wall, so I decided to try it. I took advantage of a $5 special, for two slices of pizza (Sicilian cheese, in my case) and a drink. The individual slices are pre-made, of course, but they immediately went back into the oven to be served hot. I was served with a smile and a genuinely welcoming attitude. The pizza was just the right amount of crunchy, and the sauce was flavorful with just a little spice. The cheese was a little bland, and there wasnt quite enough for my taste, which is the only reason they get a rating of four, not five. Based on the number of greetings by name I observed between customers and staff, this place has lots of regulars. I plan to be one of them.

This little corner Italian restaurant is definitely the best in the Brandon/Valrico area for quality pizzas, pastas and more! I have had some of everything Pomodoros has to offer. Margarita pizza, cheese pizza, fettucini alfredo with chicken, meatball sub and more. Each one, whether pick-up or dine in, was delicious and had an authentic flavor to it. One that could only be bested by an Italian grandmother. The place itself is cozy and the guys there are laid back. The prices are great; though they are higher than other delivery pizza chains, the quality reflects the difference. And even then, the prices are not high. All in all, my favorite place for pizza, pasta and more in Valrico.

Rosario and his staff make this place worth traveling miles to eat the BEST pizza in town. You want a real treat try one of their sandwiches made with Rosarios home made rolls and the Vodka sauce is fantastic! I urge you to try Pomodoro. We have been going there for months and I am going to pick up a couple more pizzas tonight for dinner. Do not waste time going to the Pizza chains. Im a Jersey boy and Pomodoro serves it up just right! You need to try it! Capiche?

Hopefully, this place will go out of business! Price.. over charged.. Not even close to the menu prices. Charged $1 for a cup of water I had to fill from the tap myself.. [No mention of the charge for water!] Pizza was so, so, few ingredients, and greasy. When we asked for a To-go box, I received a paper bag, and two paper plates.. [paper bag almost immediately soaked in grease.] If you want a New York Pizza, Go somewhere else, Anywhere Else..

I am so disgusted that they call themselves a New Jersey style pizza. I ordered a large pizza and it was the size of a pizza from little ceasers. It was soggy too. The eggplant parm sub wasnt even on a sub roll on some pita looking bread and that was soggy. And the zeppolis were 4 for $3.50 and were fried doughnuts like you would get a Chinese restaurant. Not a good pizza joint at all. I am from Jersey and would not recommend this to anyone at all.

100 stars! My first time eating at this place was yesterday and it was AMAZING! The service was great, the food was awesome and I was veryyyyyyyy satisfied. Their pizza is the best Ive ever tasted, the cheesesteak was at its finest (even the bread), and the calzone was LOVE! The pricing was not even expensive for the amount of food you get! My family and I were very very very satisfied with Pomodorros. I would recommend this place to EVERYONE!!

The very best Italian food in the Brandon. In fact, the very best Italian food in all Tampa Bay! The owner Rosario, is from Italy. Rosario, only uses FRESH and authentic ingredients in all of his offerings. The only issue I have with them is that they are closed Sunday and Monday... We stopped here again today for lunch....I wish I could award ten stars! I would drive hours to eat Pomodoro food..Thank God I live just ten minutes away !!!!

As a true New Yorker i can safely say If youre looking for real authentic true pizza these guys are the bomb. Any northeasterners who live here or just visiting will surely get a taste of home. I will go out of my way to stop in for a slice when ever i can or take a pie home and hide it from the kids.. theyve got everything a NY pizzaria has and its real!!!

A friend of mine told me to try out their pizza, said it was really good. Well the $7.99 turned into almost $12.00 because who wants just cheese. The mushrooms were canned and slimmy, the crust was very thin in the middle, and it was very greasy. As a matter of fact, as I write this I am not feeling all that well. Save your money and go to JETs Pizza!!!

I have been here many times. The food is always amazing and the place is spotless. The owners are super friendly and Italian -always good when I want the real deal Italian Pizza. The best news is the rude girl at the counter is GONE! She has been replaced with another authentic "Brooklyn Guy." I would and have recommend this place to EVERYONE!!
