this is one of the few true gems on greenwich ave which closed up shop not because rent was too high, but because they were growing and moved next door to a bigger, more visible spot. their updated new restaurant is gorgeous and lovingly curated. the food is absolutely outstanding. shockingly good. its such a pleasure to go out and eat and not just think its good, but to think its the best meal youve ever had. every time. the staff is courteous, the chef comes out to say hello at each table, asking how everything is, and the manager is warm, extremely attentive and refined. and the pastries... just make sure to wear pants with an elastic waist. absolutely one of the top restaurants on greenwich ave. you wont even feel bad when you get the bill because it was worth every penny.

If I could choose zero star,I would. Ordered just a simple mushroom omelet. I have asked 3 different waiters for ketchup and the place was not even then business at the time. Not sure what they mixed with the egg, it tasted like uncooked cake with starchy texture and fake eggs like McDonalds breakfast. I wrote only a handful reviews my entire life, this is not a happy experience. I dont bad mounth someone is trying to make a business but I just want to get at least average food and service which I have to pay for!

RIP OFF AND RUDE! Way over paid for a birthday cake but it was for a family birthday gathering with grand kids. I come to find out they didnt bake it only after I refused to pay a plate charge for 2 kids under the age of 3. When I purchased the cake there was no mention of a plate charge per person and the waiter forgot to make the reservations to boot. Very disappointing is an understatement. Bought a similar cake today at Aux Delices for half the price and ever bit as good.

It has been almost 8 years since I have been here for a sit-down meal so I am really a bit fuzzy on my last meal, although I do it recall to be one of about 5 times I have had Beef-Wellington. I also recall it being soul-warming. This is a nice, quite, romantic french place with heavenly deserts. Great date spot. UPDATE: Versailles has been completely renovated! The new restaurant is excellent and more focused on primary dinning than sweets!

So much fun to enjoy with friends and family. Love the bakery atmosphere up front and the charming bistro in the rear. Staff are so helpful with making suggestions and always honor reservations. My son loves the quiche and of course the buttery croissants. I love going there with friends after drop off in the morning as well as with my husband for dinner when its just the two of us! A mini-vacation in Greenwich.

Lovely restaurant. Food is excellent, but service still a bit dicey. Today I had a lobster bisque (very nice and not so creamy) and lovely shrimp, edamae pasta. Personally, I think this is great value for Greenwich and I have never been disappointed. Tip: Eat late and you may get a "goodie bag" of pasteries on your way out.

This place was great! I got the Bistro V Special and the hash browns were really good! They were not greasy at all and tasted like they were baked rather than fried. We ended the meal with a raspberry Tart which was really good to. Whenever you go I recommend getting any of the desserts, they all looked amazing.

Quintessential restaurant for lunch or dinner. The food is succulent and space is beautiful. Had a great time and enjoyed for the food. Returned twice: once for lunch and once for dinner. Both times the food was amazing. Bistro V is definitely a go to place for everyone.

I arrived, asked the nice girl at the bar if I could sit there, no problem, she recommended the mushroom omelette and it was fantastic. Pleasantly surprised. Greenwich doesnt have many good places for breakfast, but this is one of them.

Very nasty people, not welcoming at all, there wore 8 tables open and we asked for a bigger table the guy just replayed no. They would not serve breakfast during breakfast hours, only brunch cus its more expensive. Will never go back

Awesome cocktails and bread and butter! The staff is very accommodating for special requests. I have been there with large groups and they are very special days. The interior design is fabulous as well as the food. Very classy.

Perfect feeling of a Parisian cafe. The coffee and desserts were wonderful. As was the soundtrack. The front tables faced outwards--like in Europe--so we could watch the people walked by. Truly recommended.
