Best....take out.... ever. Well, I want to honest. When we moved out here we took a chance by word of mouth on where was good Chinese. We took a chance we have to say it has been ONE OF THE BEST PLACES TO ORDER EVER! You get ALOT for the price (2 days worth of food in the combo dishes). They can also customize the meal. the beef in the beef and broccoli is tender and the veggie is not too overcooked. the lo mein has a hint of that pan fried taste which is sooo good. the boneless ribs combo plate is my personal favorite it always have a small char on the outside...mmmmm.. I always ask for a scoop of broccoli with it and they do it with no charge. The egg rolls are crisp on the outside and cooked just right. I only wish they had maybe a shrimp or vegetable one. I know they have soups but I would like to see some homemade ramen soup or Chinese bbq pork steamed buns(Cha Siu Bao.....yummy). I will next time try the orange beef ***SPOILER ALERT*** a good Chinese place has Orange Beef which this place has. I have not ordered it but I will let you know when I do..... The staff looks like its family run and what is cool is you can watch them cook your meal if you want. ORDER EARLY ON FRIDAYS....noticed line our the door around 6pm. chopsticks upon request..

my husband picked up food from there.. beef chop suey,the steamed rice was over cooked and the chop suey was salty! crab rangoon,it was not cooked completely.the wonton wrapper was still raw and not crispy. the egg rolls were ok but we can tell they were pre packaged and not made fresh daily because they tasted like freezer burn. the chicken fried rice was yellow like spanish rice and outside of a few green onion pieces,there were no other vegetables in it.and no salt what so ever.we received 3 soy sauce packets and 4 packets of duck sauce.. and a little cup of what we were guessing was supposed to be sweet & sour tasted like cornsyrup with vinegar. my review is 1 star because it wouldnt let me put 0.

China City in Fox Lake was excellent before they changed owners. It seems the grade of food has gone down and we are testing out other Chinese Restaurants. I used to love the beef sticks but I could not eat these they just didnt taste right. Also the fried dumplings I get little gritty hard thing in some of them. They taste good but the grit piece (very small) turns me off. Such a disappointment. Some of my neighbors have noticed also.

HonestlyI never write reviews and I am super picky but their food is great. I needs to be said. Best stuff around unless you are in the city. The meat is pretty high quality for chinese food. Not chewy or hard but very tender Only down side is Itried a few different dishes and they all kinda taste the same but everything from the eggroll to the veggies and meat everything is really yummy and fresh. Try the beef in garlic sauce its great.

Food is great, service is lousy. Every time I order, my food will be ready in 25 minutes. Quickest its been ready? 35 minutes. Tonight? One hour. I watched people come in and order and leave before I got my order that was called in. When I complained, I got "so sorry." When I said I would never be back? Free almond cookies. Now THAT is customer service at its finest. The search for a new go-to Chinese place starts...

It is the closest Chinese restaurant to our home and I see no reason to drive any further. We probably had take-out from them about 50 times in 7 years. Never ate in. It is not expensive and the food is your standard US Chinese food. Perfectly fine if you like that kind of food. They are a little optimistic with their time estimates sometimes so I usually add 5-10 min to whatever they said.

I would give this place 2 1/2 stars. Love the double sautéed pork which is pretty consistent but certain chicken dishes use old rubbery chewy chicken most of the time. My favorite chicken dish is sesame and general tso but the chicken quality is not consistent. Bad more times than good. Other dishes are average at best.
