I have skipped this restaurant in the past because of bad Yelp reviews but the Sunday night dinner group wanted to visit this restaurant, so I tagged along. Most of the group wanted hibachi, so we sat around a hibachi grill/table. I was the lone holdout who ordered from the sushi menu instead. Heres the first problem I noticed: When we made the reservation, we asked that the hibachi chef not be crazy, i.e. no throwing food or squirting sake. He did that anyway! He was even going to do that at me, even though I didnt order the hibachi, until I said no loudly. Im sorry but I have an aversion to projectile food morsels and sake. Later, we discovered that his English wasnt good, which is kind of inexcusable for a service staff position in an upscale restaurant. Worse part is I didnt think they offered good value. I had the sushi deluxe. For a $20 item, it didnt come with that much sushi. Also, I only had a choice of soup or salad, instead of both, which is disappointing since I cant imagine either of the two items would cost the restaurant that much.

I hav never been so unsatisfied with food service. Ever. This was hands down the worst experience I have had. I am normally not one to complain or put negative feed back online. However, I would hate for anyone to have to experience what I did. My waitress didnt have the personality every waitress should. Rather she was having a bad day or not, customers shouldnt have to see the reflection in her customer service. I would also like to point out that our waitress had the audacity to come back with my credit card receipt and demand a bigger tip. It is no law to always give a 20% tip. Especially if he or she didnt deserve it. I found it EXTREAMLY disrespectful and I was very disappointed with the entire visit. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It would definitely be a waste of money.

This is worst Japanese restaurant I have ever eaten at! Definitely in the top 10 worst ever of all restaurants. The Tempura tasted like it was cooked in week-old frying oil, plus the vegetables did not include watery types, but a taro like root that was dry and tasteless. The Fish Soup tasted like it was burnt. When mentioned the head lady noted , "no that is sesame oil in the soup, it CANNOT be burnt," and placed it back in front of my wife! The Unagi Don (Eel) was OK, except the teriyaki sauce was thick and sugary, lacking in savory sweetness. The meals never settled in our stomaches and even the next morning I felt nauseous. This is not Japanese food, but a poor simulation that is not passable as food let alone "cuisine".

This place is not a Japanese restaurant , THE FOOD IS COOKED BY CHINESE AND THE TESTE IS LIKE CHINESE FOOD. I picked up my food today (salmon teriyaki) they gave me a tiny salmon, no salad which I clearly ordered, and the onions were RAW, i posted the pictures from their LAME FOOD. I couldnt go back because I picked it up to return to work. I called several times so that the guy can bring the right order with food that is actually coocked, and they dont pick up the calls, the bold old chinesse guy is a duchebag. Sushi tested like junk food. DONT GO TO THIS PLACE. THEIR BATHROOM IS NASTY, AND THEIR FOOD IS HORRIBLE.

Terrible, make reservations and if 15 min late they make ya wait 30 minutes then when thats up they say it will be another 30 minutes. I watched them give a table away. I would never come here again and if I can give 0 stars I would. Thank u so much! Ruined my daughters high school graduation dinner. Im sorry but I would never return. No accommodation at all. Only offered a seat at a normal table.... I highly recommend to never go here.

We had a sampling of the whole place. Sushi was very fresh. They have real pickled ginger. And the hibachi was awesome! We had a young guy and his hibachi show was adorable! I couldnt stop laughing. Built for larger hibachi groups but even if its just a couple they will let you do hibachi. Very great place to go if youre stuck for a few hours getting your windshield replaced at safe lite. :)

Ive been to TONS of hibachi grills. Each preparer is unique and has his/her own style. The grill is below you, which is much better than most places where the grill is the same height as your table. This place is decently priced and the food is great. Lastly, the portions are huge, you so not only get your moneys worth, but you typically have something to bring home.

This place is expensive and food was okay. What I didnt like is when I opened my bag and asked the lady for a side of siracha she charged me one dollar. When I told her nevermind I could tell she was offended. She slide the pen and paper to me to sign and put the debit card on the counter with a attitude. Its ok though I just wont go back .

The restaurant in Enfield is highly mismanaged. We made 7pm reservations two days ahead of time and didnt eat until 8:30 pm. The same thing happened to another couple at our table. The management did nothing to try to make amends. Hope the one in Cromwell is better!

First time here, they cook in front of my four-year-old and start the grill on fire. Although my 4 year old shrieked, she was excited. The food was excellent their service was good and were definitely going to come back.

We went there for lunch. The hibachi is overpriced at about $25 to $30 an entree for sub average quality food entree. The sevice is mediocre as is the sushi. The lady in the front, manager I assume was extremely rude.

Nice place; prices on hibachi are actually pretty good compared with other places and they give you plenty. Good luck getting refills on any drinks though; or your bill for that matter.
