This place could be a very nice place if the staff knew how to utilize the resources and space. it was my moms birthday, and we wanted to take her somewhere nice. The place is nice, and the food was decent (not that great either), but the lack of customer service made my dining experience turn out to be horror. We called in advance for hibachi, and they said we didnt need to wait. However, when we walked in, they asked us to wait 20 min, which was fine.. but they just TOLD us to wait in the sushi bar and pointed us with their head. We asked to eat appetizers.. and they just said O.K. leaving up to us to just seat ourselves without any menu or any direction. i asked for the menu, and started to show my irritation with the hostess, and the girl rolls her eyes and the sushi bar chefs started to giggle.. Then when the rolls came out, they asked us to move to the hibachi table... the other hostess tells me to bring my own sushi plates!!!! Not to add.... no utensils were given, no sauce, nothing... just the sushi plates. the waiter had no idea about the menu, and was pretty confident about it, too. Nice.
We had to wait about a good hour for our hibachi to start... and it was about 9 oclock when we started to eat.. so by the time we got our food, the staff started to clean the place.. sweeping, spraying their place nice and clean.. i felt rushed while i ate. To top it off.. they forgot my rice. there was five of us on that table and only one person got rice. What. Da. Heck. ahhhhh....we complained at the end... and the manager asked me if i want the rice with my check. ?!?? I couldnt take it and didnt tip, and the hostess must have something wrong with her eye bc i caught her rolling her eyes at me.. AGAIN. Really? If youre gonna roll your damn eyes, please do it so that i cant see u do it. I eat out a lot and this is my first bad rating at any restaurant Ive been to!! No common courtesy nor common "restaurant" sense! Such a disaster!!

There food is good, however, they had made a mistake in their prices as well as our take out order. We called them to make sure and the manager yelled at us for not saying the "order" correctly. Although we had said that we told him correctly he denied it. I thought customers were always supposed to be right either right or wrong. He had handled this situation terribly wrong. and then hanging up the phone on us. We brought back the food to show them but the manager talked back to us customers and told us to never come here again because it was a private property. He told us to spell his name right when we asked for his name and told us if we looked in the mirror lately because we were idiots....overall BAD SERVICE! Not the way to talk to customers!

We dined at the hibachi area of the restaurant last week. The cook was entertaining and food was good. My issue was that my son found a staple sized piece of metal in the vegetables towards the end of the meal. We informed the waitress and she didnt comment; just cleared our plates. When she handed us the bill, she said they took the chicken off the bill. No apologies and no manager coming over to apologize. Poor customer concern and service. Very disappointing.

My first time there, overall great time and food, would definitely go again. The only thing that needs to be said is that we had 10 people in our group, and it took at least 30 minutes at the end to get our checks and THEN found out there could only be 3 total checks per table, so we had to figure out who owed what and try to get all our payments set, so that took even more time. Best advice--bring cash with mixed bills.

Family took me out for my 45th birthday..... I didnt originally choose this restaurant because the reviews were not good..... What a mistake THAT would have been!!!! It was wonderful..... The restaurant is very cool; the sushi was delish; the tempura was delish.... And the sushi roll dessert was even good!!!! We all liked different things and every one of us loved our meal..... I would def recommend this restaurant!!!!

Got chicken low mein wit fried rice. It was all greasy, fried rice was just rice with some soy sauce (no egg or vegetable saute), low mein was tasty but literaly 2 bit size pieces of chicken. Very expensive, twice as much as higachi down the road and ive been here twice now so its not a fluke. Atmosphere is gorgeous and staff is friendly but nothe worth it

Im guilty of making first impressions of Japanese restaurants by their soup and salad. And right from the start this restaurant does not disappoint. Iv come here time and again just for the brilliant hibachi experience. Friendly staff, good food and a great time always. I cannot comment on the sushi sashimi as every time I come here, I want to do hibachi

Went here for my friends birthday (Hibachi) and after the amazing food and very entertaining chef I will be coming back here for mine. It was the best fried rice I have ever had and the Filet Mignon was amazing. The chef was humorous and kept people engaged without being annoying. I have also heard the chefs at this hibachi are better than others.

This is hands down my favorite sushi place in Connecticut. They are also always changing the menu so I was worried when I saw my favorite roll (the Working Mans roll) removed from the menu but they will still make it. Service is decent and the ambiance is great. They also have hibatchi tables which Ive never been to but always seems like fun.

Love this place. Im a repeat visitor and the sushi is never disappointing! The decor and atmosphere are perfect for a low-lite, romantic date. I especially like the little bridge you walk over when you first come in, which is set over-top an indoor pond. I would recommend anyone try this place if youre in the mood for sushi. ๑๑๑

I went here on a date with my boyfriend and really enjoyed the food and the service. We shared a scorpion bowl, got a few appetizers, and then ordered sushi. The drink was perfect for the two of us and we were full after getting the appetizers and a sushi roll. Id highly recommend this place and the interior is beautiful

Me and my wifes favorite restaurant, the sushi is the best in CT and we should know we have tired it in probably 10 around the state. Love the new rising sun, roll out the carbs, rock and roll just to name a few. It is pricey but you get what you pay for. Going there tonight. highly recommend

Good cheap sushi! Comfortable upscale dining atmosphere. Seated quickly and service was great! The Spyder roll was delicious as was the Philadelphia roll. The Kani salad was kind of dry but still edible. Attentive staff and awesome chocolate mints on the way out the door.
